Delicious Pain: Spears' Injuries Not Season Threatening
Marcus Spears' right leg injuries are extensive, but not half as severe as originally feared. Spears suffered a high ankle sprain, a pulled groin and a sprained medial collateral ligament (MCL) after being rolled over in morning practice. He is expected to miss only two to four weeks.

I think all Cowboy fans can now take a collective sigh of relief. A possible month on the sideline is alot better than the whole season, great news..

AS Derrick said: WHAT A RELIEF! Did anyone notice how the wording of the WHO’S NOT section has been changed?

I did james, I read that earlier also, but then I reread it!!!!

DC.com is better than the local paper, but that is about it. Their stuff is poorly and lazily written, and not all that informative. I’m ready for Rafael to get to camp, so we can all learn something besides what the professional writers learn from talking among themselves and trying to parse what Bill says in his news conferences.

C.B. ,
My thoughts exactly! How hard is it to report what you see?
we are not talking brain surgery here!!! N.Eatme’s report
consisted of what ?Spears injury and nothing else!!!!
Did practices stop????Gee its hard to be" HOT" when your
injured !!!!! And they wonder why blogs like this grow!!!

Becker you are so correct. There are 84 other players on the team, where is the rest of the news. 85 players and all the experts are writing on the same info.
Go Rafael.

its kind of a shame that one of the only players on the beagles with any class got injured out. i think ill manage to get a good night sleep tonight though. Has anyone seen how bad henson is doing? every time i get on the boys website, i read about a buch more interceptions he threw. i guess wre back to square one w/qbs.

We’ve been relatively lucky so far, alot of other teams have massive problems IE,contract hold outs, disgruntled players, injuries, new coordinators and coaches,etc……..glad to hear Spears will only be out for 2-4 weeks! It’s nice to have some depth isn’t it guys?(coleman and Canty)I like the way BP has put together a solid squad instead of putting all our money into one or two stars that could get hurt and devastate our season.Teams that do that are just asking for disaster!~GO COWBOYS!!!~~~

he definately has put together a bood bunch of players. to all the parcells critics out there- I WONDER WHY WERE NOT DEALING WITH HOLDOUTS,CONTRACT RE NEGOTIATIONS,AND CRY BABIES. WE EVEN HAVE TOP TIER PLAYERS LIKE ELLIS AND GLOVER TAKING A HALF STEP DOWN. MAYBE ITS CAUSE PARCELLS DOESNT TOLERATE HEADCASES ON HIS TEAM! Thats not to say i think anyone should be afraid to speak their mind on the tuna, or anything for that matter. Just pointing out that there are advantages to Parcells method of coaching. This is looking like a good team that will win for the first time in years.

sharkz and ericp,
Nice posts .. it is nice having depth. These 2-4 week injuries are much easier to deal with when a “player” steps right in there.

else!!

Eric P,
No one EVER said Parcells is not a good coach. Some of us aren’t AFRAID to point out that he isn’t god.
by James on Aug 6, 2005 3:58 PM CDT reply actions
No one argues Parcells isn’t a good coach, but everyone can mature, grow, and continue to get better at what they do. No matter your age or the amount of success you’ve had.

Becker,
Good points about the russians. I remember a few years ago some Division II college team had their training camp in Moscow and then played Russia’s best players before they came back over here to start the season.
Final Score: Our Guys 105-Russian AllStars 7
by James on Aug 6, 2005 10:28 PM CDT reply actions
James,
Wow from the score of that game it looks like either the
Russians really s-xed or were such jerks that Our
guys ran the score up on them…….probably both!!!
by becker on Aug 7, 2005 8:07 AM CDT reply actions
Becker,
For sure the russians sucked and maybe the other reason too.
by James on Aug 7, 2005 12:24 PM CDT reply actions
We sucked in your football game because our women do not shave their pits. It’s is very disgusting when we have to pick their pit hair off of our deodorant stick. Also, they do not cheer for football because it reminds them of many of their childhoods when they had to wrestle pigs for male attention. You know russian men prefer pig p—-y to human p—-y. It’s a fact that it does taste better.
