Didn’t saw the AZ game, and I find very interesting the 3-4… But rare might be the best word to describe it… Good play by Ware, beating the Left Guard, I guess he will start calling the attention of Jones.

by Chandus on Aug 22, 2005 7:18 PM CDT reply actions

where’s the godman coverage?

by ManTab on Aug 22, 2005 7:21 PM CDT reply actions

Terence Newman got beat badly three times this drive…what the hell?

by ManTab on Aug 22, 2005 7:23 PM CDT reply actions

You guys suck. How about 80 yards in 5 minutes or 6? Dallas Cowboys are toast.

by The Seahawk fan on Aug 22, 2005 7:23 PM CDT reply actions

Woo Hoo you guys are great

by The Seahawk fan on Aug 22, 2005 7:25 PM CDT reply actions

The three passes were crossing routes, where he needs S help. And one of those were understandable, Seattle is having a good OLine work.

by Chandus on Aug 22, 2005 7:25 PM CDT reply actions

Hey Seahawk fan, why don’t you make like a tree and get outta here?

by Dallasman on Aug 22, 2005 7:27 PM CDT reply actions

I hope that this doesn’t repeat often, I mean a seahawk fan is a bit better than a Beagle…

by Chandus on Aug 22, 2005 7:28 PM CDT reply actions

Yeah Mr. Seattle guy f off.

by angry fan on Aug 22, 2005 7:28 PM CDT reply actions

We are only slighly better than a bagle? What the hell does that mean. My Dallas prediction,6-10.

Also, when you grow up in Dallas do you have to own cows and like the smell of cow s—t? I have always heard that the women from Texas were lilke horses…they’ll give you a good ride for a mouthfull of hay and a bucket of water.

Any truth to that story?

by The Seahawk Fan on Aug 22, 2005 7:32 PM CDT reply actions

Oh yeah, I have been told that Seattle women prefer men who don’t like to bathe. Any truth to that?

still a little too early but hes gettin there

by nate on Aug 22, 2005 7:37 PM CDT reply actions

I can only hope that Ware makes the type of play he’s making today, every game… 1 sack, 1 int and 1FF… that would look good in a 16 game span…

by Chandus on Aug 22, 2005 7:37 PM CDT reply actions

Did you see that freaking closing move Ware pulled…oh my god he’s fast…

by rparr on Aug 22, 2005 7:39 PM CDT reply actions

Bledsoe saves the drive then gets dropped like a hot potato.

by dallasman on Aug 22, 2005 7:40 PM CDT reply actions

Great drive guys. Here comes another three point drive.

by The Seahawk Fan on Aug 22, 2005 7:41 PM CDT reply actions

ideal scenario: we finish 2-14 so we can get leinart.

by theogt on Aug 22, 2005 7:42 PM CDT reply actions

Bledoe did looked faster than Testaverde in that run play, you know? He isn’t as slow footed as a lot of you guys label him. And that sack, well, the pocket collapsed horribly.

by Chandus on Aug 22, 2005 7:43 PM CDT reply actions

Reggie Mc Neal will fall to the second round and with 4.28 speed and a rifle for an arm, he better get drafted by the Boys.

by dallasman on Aug 22, 2005 7:43 PM CDT reply actions

Man, I’m sitting here in the Seattle area during a stinking blackout due to a non-sellout game. This really sucks. When will the NFL get a clue? It’s preseason.

I am a huge Cowboy fan and I sure would love to see the game.

Keep the posts coming with your viewpoints. You will be my eyes.

Thanks.

By the way, that Seahawk fan should be at the game if he was such a big fan.

what’s up with our swiss cheese d?

by CDog on Aug 22, 2005 7:50 PM CDT reply actions

interestingly enough, the big worry with the transition was with the run. the defensive backs were supposed to be solid. the problem thus far however has been with pass coverage. this could be largely attributed to the lack of anyone other than ware even getting close to the qb.

by theogt on Aug 22, 2005 7:51 PM CDT reply actions

our o-line isn’t looking too hot either…

by CDog on Aug 22, 2005 7:52 PM CDT reply actions

Bledsoe does tend to hold the ball too long, but our line gives him no time whatsoever.

by CDog on Aug 22, 2005 7:53 PM CDT reply actions

by CDog on Aug 22, 2005 7:59 PM CDT reply actions

hey seahawk fan….are those runs bringing back bad memories? ha ha ha ha

by ManTab on Aug 22, 2005 7:59 PM CDT reply actions

Ware against the best side of the Seatle offensive line, and he is winning the battles. I think you will see him more against the weaker side more in the regular season. Parcells is testing him .. and I think he passed it.

The Cowboys really need to work on their zone blitzes, the coverage has been bad, but Roy and Dat have come untouched into the backfield but missed tackles too.

Ellis may not be lining up at OLB but the Boys have gone with 5 or 6 down linemen and backed linemen into coverage, a product of of the 3-4 defense.

Bradie James looks lost going back into coverage. If one of these other guys step up, his days are numbered as a starter.

Petitti looks good. Seatle ran a stunt on his side and the O-line missed it, resulting in a sack. One play Petitti blocked the rusher past Bledsoe, that is excellent. Bledsoe ran for 8 yards on that play.

kellya, yep the 94 has Hailey all over it. His fluid running to the QB, makes it look so effortless, like Hailey did. Boy one half – 2 FF, an INT, a sack, a fumble recovery, and a couple more pressures. Nice very nice, and he did mostly against the right side of the Seatle line, one of the best in the league at that.

Pass coverage was a little suspect, but Ware did look awesome. Glad to see J.J. get some positive runs in there. Crayton looks pretty good as well.

by Dave on Aug 22, 2005 8:31 PM CDT reply actions

yeah, it was nice to see JJ tear through the seahwawks like usual

by Koolaid on Aug 22, 2005 8:32 PM CDT reply actions

Petitti looked good. What do you all think?

My biggest obsevation is something I mentioned before the game … The Cowboys need to be better on the quick passing plays, and better at getting to their drops in zone coverage. Shanle may be the answer over James. I would definately start considering it, if I were Parcells. … Dallas covered the outside well, and the inside was porous, including Newman in the slot in the nickel, but he has to get someone in the middle there to help, even Newman can’t be expected to cover the entire field. Again that has everything to do with the LBs drops, and they seemed to be out of position on a lot of zone plays, again especially James.

by EricR on Aug 22, 2005 8:33 PM CDT reply actions

And Dallas has fans all over the country and WORLD!! America’s team!!

Dallas- 5 Championships. 8 Superbowls. NFC Championship games in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s….

Seahawks- Still waiting… Who the hell are they? Just filler.

by rich on Aug 22, 2005 8:33 PM CDT reply actions

Yeah, I was getting a little worried about JJ with all those negligible runs. Good to see he’s still got it in him.

by theogt on Aug 22, 2005 8:34 PM CDT reply actions

i liked when he hurdled that seahwaks defender, i had to laugh at that

by Koolaid on Aug 22, 2005 8:35 PM CDT reply actions

What do I know by seeing the first half:

- A real 3-4 was played in less than a third percent of the snaps, the 3-4 won’t work for much against teams with good OLines, so there comes the Cowboys flexability there, the majority of the snaps were played in a 4 man front.

- Crayton has future, now is the third string, but throughout the season could make a statement.

- James bieng yelled by Parcells and looking lost in coverage, just good in run support. Won’t make the first cuts that now are around the corner, but if he doesn’t make up in the last 2 preseason games, I don’t see him as a starter in the 53 man roster, and making it just for depth.

- Ware…

- Petitti looked good, just beaten in that tricky play by Darby and Fisher.

- Davis needs to respond faster to coverage support he was late at least twice.

- Bledsoe looked good when given time. That Henson pass… his new mechanics aren’t stablished yet.

- Al Johnson nod comes in those running plays when he gets out of the pocket and makes blocks in JuiceJ way. Made two of those.

by Chandus on Aug 22, 2005 8:35 PM CDT reply actions

I am now excited about Demarcus Ware. Catylitic.

by Cash on Aug 22, 2005 8:36 PM CDT reply actions

by theogt on Aug 22, 2005 8:45 PM CDT reply actions

Chandus,

I told you Johnson reminds me of Mawae, now Parcells is using him like him too. Its sweet watching a center pull like that.

Did you see the 5 and 6 man D-line and then backing them into coverage? Maybe Ellis isn’t playing OLB but he and Ware were outside the OT shoulder and the zone blitzing scheme is of the 3-4 defense. OLB/DE call it what you will, I knew that they would be playing together lining up outside, and disguising their blitzes. Roy came through unblocked in this set.

by EricR on Aug 22, 2005 8:46 PM CDT reply actions

by EricR on Aug 22, 2005 9:34 PM CDT reply actions

Let’s see him undress.

by EricR on Aug 22, 2005 9:35 PM CDT reply actions

Seattle was toying with the idea of drawing DICKS on each ball so they’d be sure and catch them……..

by sharkz on Aug 22, 2005 9:36 PM CDT reply actions

I hear that hey draw cowchips on Dallas balls so the rednecks will pay attention to them

by The Seahawk Fan on Aug 22, 2005 9:37 PM CDT reply actions

Okay, this experiment won’t be repeated.

Your mothers are calling you to bed boys. ALL of you.

by ManTab on Aug 22, 2005 9:44 PM CDT reply actions

Yes, their depth is just a mess, that’s why I wouldn’t like to see Thompson, wouldn’t mean a thing…

by Chandus on Aug 22, 2005 9:47 PM CDT reply actions

Hambrick cut…..sucks to be you

by ManTab on Aug 22, 2005 9:47 PM CDT reply actions

sorry, rafael.

guess we should just ignore seahawk boy and his stupid little posts.

but ya’ll notice how he hasn’t got anything intelligent to say about his sad little “never-been-anything-special” franchise?

guess he knows his team’s legacy sucks, and that’s all that matters. now wipe those tears from your eyes little seahawk boi. we ain’t got time for you….

by rich on Aug 22, 2005 9:50 PM CDT reply actions

by skullmunky on Aug 22, 2005 9:53 PM CDT reply actions

Romo looks a little better than Henson………but geez not sure I want either at the HELM?

I ain’t into Field Goals………….I want some Touchdowns!!!!

I am liking our defense………..but the first string seahawks seemed to pass for wherever they needed too…………not good!!!!

by DougM on Aug 22, 2005 10:06 PM CDT reply actions

Anyone think Seaturd Boy will realize why he won’t be able to post here anymore??

Survey says . . . . . . NOPE!

by Raul Villaronga on Aug 22, 2005 10:09 PM CDT reply actions

Best observations:

1.) Of course Ware looks like the real deal going up against the right side of the Seatle O-line.

2.) Shanle is winning the starting ILB spot over James.

3.) Petitti looked very good.

4.) Barber looks like his roll may be the 4th quarter run the clock out with a lead guy, and he did make a couple of nice blocks, but had fumbleitis.

5.) Wow! The blitzes are working, unblocked at times, but the short coverage needs to get better, especially over the middle. Again Shanle looked better than James in coverage.

6.) Beriault, Davis, Shanle, Roy can lay the wood on people.

7.) Kalen Thorton is playing well too.

8.) Somebody needs to step up returning punts and kickoffs.

by EricR on Aug 22, 2005 10:22 PM CDT reply actions

that was a bad call- he did not have control!

by rich on Aug 22, 2005 10:22 PM CDT reply actions

Much better game for our Boy’s…..

by sharkz on Aug 22, 2005 10:25 PM CDT reply actions

beriault’s the new bates. no doubt. he’s just lookn to lay people out back there.

has newman returned kickoffs? dude’s fast enough, has moves.

by rich on Aug 22, 2005 10:25 PM CDT reply actions

Good win. Thx for the company guys. Cya later.

by DougM on Aug 22, 2005 10:29 PM CDT reply actions

good win for the boys. but its preseason. what i like is what i saw out of the rookies and K. thorton. move beriault back to fs. this guy needs to be on the field.

by don pertha on Aug 22, 2005 10:36 PM CDT reply actions

Okay so I get to see the boys for the first timethis year…no tyson. how come?
Much better than i expcetced but boy henson was rough

by graham stuart on Aug 22, 2005 10:40 PM CDT reply actions

Ogbogu with 2 sacks coming out of pass rush situations… Made a solid statement on not being cutted.

by Chandus on Aug 22, 2005 10:41 PM CDT reply actions

Graham:

My guts say to me that Parcells knows what he’s got with him already, I think that he wanted to see more from A-Train and Barber, Barber looked good, with the exception of that fumble, and A-Train at times was derailed by the first contact, but made a couple of good gains.

by Chandus on Aug 22, 2005 10:45 PM CDT reply actions

we ran the ball 40+ times for over 150 yards…welcome to Cowboys football 2005 version….hope this works, I still have not seen much from Bledsoe….Is it stupid to suggest bringing back Vinny?

by ManTab on Aug 22, 2005 10:45 PM CDT reply actions

Romo before Vinny.

by rich on Aug 22, 2005 10:49 PM CDT reply actions

Rich maybe….dunno if either Romo or Henson can be any good…..are the receivers getting open? there’s somehting that looks slow and weird on the passing game

by ManTab on Aug 22, 2005 10:51 PM CDT reply actions

Did everyone like our new 10-1 defense (formation).

DeMarcus Ware and 10 other guys?

We’ve been talking a lot on this blog about naming our new D.

How about something like B-Ware of D!

by Big Jim on Aug 22, 2005 11:05 PM CDT reply actions
