No kidding! I don’t like being on my 12th beer before kickoff. 5 or 6 is much better.
I know we can say this about almost every game so far, but this game is very hard to predict. What do you pick?
2nd year QB? But his last name is Manning?
Julius is injured? But Dallas is due for a 100 rushing game?
Burress played well 2 weeks ago? But he’s always been inconsistent?
Tyson should fumble? He takes one to the house? Both?
Ware has 2 more sacks? He makes a costly rookie mistake?
Petiti holding Strahan? Petiti’s due for a really bad game?
There is probably 100 more, but that’s what makes it interesting.

I see it being close, but if Dallas wants to get off the win/lose yo-yo they need to step up one of these even weekends. I say this is the one.
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 2:28 AM CDT reply actions
I agree, Dallas needs to get at it today!! Dallas by 7.
by AlanTdot on Oct 16, 2005 3:10 AM CDT reply actions
I think Dallas will win it today. The score will be Dallas 28 Giants 17
Go Cowboys!!!
by Q-Tip on Oct 16, 2005 3:50 AM CDT reply actions
IMO This will be a VERY pivotal game in Dallas’ rebirth! Will Dallas get off the win one, lose one yoyo and start to build on some consistantcy? This one will be hard fought but I think the Cowboys come out on top. Both teams are jockeying for position in the NFC East, alot is riding on this one.I hope we can regain that swagger that makes the Cowboys Americas team(the kind we saw last Sunday)!

Here we go !
Dallas will expect the Giants to protect their weak spot which is the secondary. They will try to disrupt Bledsoe`s rhythym with some blitzes. This is a good day for Dallas to establish the run. With Jones probably out & Bledsoe enjoying a great season the Giants will surely be looking more for pass than run. With TT`s speed he should break a couple of big ones today. Just hope he holds on to the ball. I would like to see DB throw no more than 16-18 times today. That means Dallas is running well. Then if your trying to stop them next week, well good luck trying to figure out how to stop that offense. Hope the defense plays well.If they can stop the big play like they were giving up early in the year, They are definitely a playoff contender this year.

Anyone hear what the rational is behind the spread being 3.5?
by Don Y on Oct 16, 2005 8:20 AM CDT reply actions
JJ is a game time decision. But BP said TT had a good week practice & also said he`s not big on playing someone who didn`t practice all week.
by Jesse New York on Oct 16, 2005 8:48 AM CDT reply actions
Don Y,
Are thinking 3.5 is too high or to low? I think these are 2 pretty even teams and generally you give 3-3.5 points to the home team.

from cbsportsline 10 minutes ago-
According to reports, Julius Jones (ankle) will not start. Tyson Thompson will get the call in his absence.
(Updated 10/16/2005).
by mr. T on Oct 16, 2005 9:12 AM CDT reply actions
They have learned and improved from every game so far, tough to improve over last week…this one could even be better…go cowboys
by TM on Oct 16, 2005 9:51 AM CDT reply actions
as far as TT goes..I love his speed but it seems that he sometimes chooses the wrong lanes (ex..last weeks kickoff where he almost broke it)..I wonder if this is simply a rookie issue? Just seems that he runs N with little or no wiggle..maybe just me thinkin this..anyways..Go Cowboys!
by KDog on Oct 16, 2005 10:27 AM CDT reply actions
Juliuus Jones is OUT for this game, Anthony Thomas will start, but expect Tyson Thompson to get significant carries.
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 10:36 AM CDT reply actions
ready for another nail biter? today’s gonna be a tough one….no JJ, Train to start….the fact that A Train is getting the start makes it sound like extra protection for Drew….Martz style game? who knows…..
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 11:41 AM CDT reply actions
go cowboys, go Kansas city……..we get 1st place today hopefully….

by F.J on Oct 16, 2005 12:04 PM CDT reply actions
anyone have a streaming site for the game…I am in europe trying to catch it
by magyar on Oct 16, 2005 12:06 PM CDT reply actions
yes, 2 teams go in as wild cards that are based on record and not on division standings…..3 and out…very good…just wish we could’ve gotten a good hit on Manning early…
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 12:06 PM CDT reply actions
That’s it baby! Throw the ball!Keyshawn for 22!
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 12:07 PM CDT reply actions

by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 12:07 PM CDT reply actions
you know, our centers need to learn how to hike the damn ball
how hard is it anyway? come on… can’t think of your assignment and hike the ball at the same time? make em run on Tuesday Parcells

very sluggish start, crowd doesn’t really sound into it. I hate these noon starts for the Cowboys
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 12:23 PM CDT reply actions
if the D can make them go 3 and out we will have great field position
by Koolaid on Oct 16, 2005 12:23 PM CDT reply actions

Crayton is going to drive me nuts one of these days….
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 12:32 PM CDT reply actions
crayton makes me nervous on punt return, but he’s coming on as a WR
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 12:32 PM CDT reply actions
that previous post I made about Crayton….I apologize…forget it…love the guy
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 12:39 PM CDT reply actions
Damn Crayton is great!!!!!Fantastic hands and body control!
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 12:39 PM CDT reply actions
Pin that INT on Marco Rivera. Glenn was breaking free.
That might have been a TD if he could have held protection.
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 12:41 PM CDT reply actions
if rivera kept his block, that would of been a td.
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 12:41 PM CDT reply actions
Yep i reran that play and you guys are right, should’ve been a TD…
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 12:42 PM CDT reply actions
cmon Drew….let get this Offense going….put TT in, let him run it a bit
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 12:45 PM CDT reply actions
hey, we have played pretty sloppy so far , but to be only down three points now starting the second quarter is good news since the giants have had pretty good field position and ttwo turnovers.
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 12:46 PM CDT reply actions
im loving the speed of TT
and not loving our right tackle play
by Koolaid on Oct 16, 2005 12:48 PM CDT reply actions
what the hell is going on???? Parcells….wake up and igve these morons a good dose of your big mouth
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 12:48 PM CDT reply actions
Okay, Keyshawn, I"LL say it:
HOLD ON TO THE DAMM BALL!!!!
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 12:48 PM CDT reply actions
we’re loosing this game badly unless something changes really fast
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 12:50 PM CDT reply actions
mantab,
were only down three points, giants haven’t really done anything special
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 12:51 PM CDT reply actions
very nice false start. need to hold the to a FG.
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 12:52 PM CDT reply actions
good play Ellis…thank you….damn offense wake the hell up….
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 12:52 PM CDT reply actions
we’re still in it. no more turnovers though hopefully
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 12:53 PM CDT reply actions
I’ll take 2 points per turnover any day. It could be much worse. One TD and we are ahead.
by magyar on Oct 16, 2005 12:53 PM CDT reply actions
They must be greasing OUR ball when we have it…..lol
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 12:56 PM CDT reply actions
Keyshawn is good WR but it seems last week and this week he has had butter fingers
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 12:59 PM CDT reply actions
keyshawn is gret receiver as well as a team player..let the guy be…he’ll do fine….
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 1:00 PM CDT reply actions
don’t get me wrong i like keyshawn cause he reminds me of irving
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 1:00 PM CDT reply actions
that is the uggliest great play I have ever seen
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 1:04 PM CDT reply actions
My gosh, that’s a fast half. One hour and we’re already at the two minute warning.
I can see how the Giants get so many turnovers. Their secondary is awful but their rush is good, and it leads to a lot of hurried, i.e. BAD passes.
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 1:07 PM CDT reply actions
Cowboys have just shut down the Giants offense so far!Now lets score and take the lead!
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 1:08 PM CDT reply actions
witten has been no significant factor? why with such a weapon?
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 1:09 PM CDT reply actions
I hate spears blocking…BILL IT DOESNT WORK….can youhear me?
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 1:09 PM CDT reply actions
Wow. That’s an old Jay Novcek play. Drag the TE underneath the line on his route.
SIXTEEN plays for that TD. Man, if they can hold the ball, they can win this game.
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 1:10 PM CDT reply actions
that’s it!!!!!!!!!!!!! now get a good hit on Manning with our D and let’s get the ball and a TD on our 1st posession in the 2nd qtr
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 1:10 PM CDT reply actions
damn it feels good to be winning,
thanks defense!
by Koolaid on Oct 16, 2005 1:11 PM CDT reply actions
Anyone remember those reverse rollouts where Aikman would hit Novachek in the endzone?
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 1:11 PM CDT reply actions
ManTab,
Petitti screwed up that run. The blocking outside was good. If Petitti can just get a draw with his guy they score on first down.
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 1:11 PM CDT reply actions
having the lead at half time after that half will be huge, because even with all the mistakes we held them to 6 points
by nate on Oct 16, 2005 1:11 PM CDT reply actions
try blocking the gap-toothed one will ya!!!!!!
by BlitzEli on Oct 16, 2005 1:11 PM CDT reply actions
fumble on KR! giants will prolly just take a knee
by Koolaid on Oct 16, 2005 1:14 PM CDT reply actions
cowboys have had luck and a defense that stepped up. if i were a giant’s fan, i’d be pissed. lol
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 1:15 PM CDT reply actions
watch out for a deep pass to Plax….keep the eyes open….
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 1:15 PM CDT reply actions
Raf, on goal line offense the runner is supposed to just follow the lead blocker no? It didnt work, it hasnt worked the whole season with spears there…..just a thought….
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 1:17 PM CDT reply actions
lets get a field goal at least….throw one or 15 yards and get “Super Jose” on the filed
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 1:18 PM CDT reply actions
Recap please. Just got home from church. What is going on? Are we turning the ball over?
by BlueCheese on Oct 16, 2005 1:20 PM CDT reply actions
wasnt his fault though….too much penetration by the Giants
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 1:21 PM CDT reply actions
ManTab,
It worked in San Francisco. So they’ve got at least one.
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 1:21 PM CDT reply actions
BlueCheese….we have sucked on Offense except for 1 drive…we have 3 turnovers but we’re winning by 1……D has been excelent so far
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 1:21 PM CDT reply actions
im happy with the score, after all those turnovers (3?)
the defense has been very good for the second week in a row,
looks like as long as we dont turn it over we can have this game
by Koolaid on Oct 16, 2005 1:22 PM CDT reply actions
Defense is doing it again! 1ST hALF, that #1 explosive NYG offense has 57 TOTAL yards. Turnovers giving them everything…..Dallas, 207 Yds Offense
by starfire on Oct 16, 2005 1:25 PM CDT reply actions
Koolaid,
My only worry is that we have another Washington outcome. We owned that game until the very end. Gotta get more scores, blow them out, don’t give them life.
by BlueCheese on Oct 16, 2005 1:27 PM CDT reply actions
I am afraid our D will not be in shape by the 4th qtr…they have been working overtime on this game…we have to get A Train and TT on this game to let the D rest for a while..and we need to put campbell and Pettitti on strahan…
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 1:28 PM CDT reply actions
hell of a game so far, sike, cmon boys, we gotta step up on offense, tell you what though, 3 turnovers, 6 points, gotta love our D, we got this though, you all know were a second half team…go cowboys…
by NflCowboys on Oct 16, 2005 1:30 PM CDT reply actions
blesdoe only 3 incompletions, though 1 was an Int
by Koolaid on Oct 16, 2005 1:33 PM CDT reply actions
Anyone see the game? I wonder if Zimmer is using a lot of man to man coverage like they did against the eagles? The games before that they played a lot of zone and got eaten up in the air….
by starfire on Oct 16, 2005 1:34 PM CDT reply actions
Hey guys,
