we need a couple of turnovers ourseleves…this is BS with this ofense
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 1:40 PM CDT reply actions
ba, since flozell adamas decided to put them a red carpet to go straight to the qb
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 1:41 PM CDT reply actions
now that’s what im talking about…henry..love you man….
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 1:42 PM CDT reply actions
yeah, mantab…they must have been thinking, let us roll out the red carpet and make this line look glorious!
by ba on Oct 16, 2005 1:42 PM CDT reply actions
Koolaid,
Agree. I’d like to see them go with Tyson exclusively this half. A-Train is the ugliest back this side of Troy Hambrick.
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 1:43 PM CDT reply actions
next best option for lack of running game here is witten shorter faster passes
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 1:43 PM CDT reply actions
we need a TD and then another TO o get this ugly game over with….I think Parcells is going to have his hands full with the O line this week….
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 1:44 PM CDT reply actions
Kdog,
what do you mean finally, the giants dont have a hundred yards on offense, the defense is really playing well the last couple of games
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 1:44 PM CDT reply actions
quit screwing around, go for the throat. Bomb time….
by starfire on Oct 16, 2005 1:44 PM CDT reply actions
Glenn should of jumped up to take that ball at its highest point
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 1:46 PM CDT reply actions
i like having the d on the field almost more than i like the O on the field….anyone else?
by ba on Oct 16, 2005 1:48 PM CDT reply actions
ba, thats what i felt like when we had vinny, but not anymore
we just need to stop turning it over and this game is ours
by Koolaid on Oct 16, 2005 1:48 PM CDT reply actions
last year??? are you serious!? our D was TERRIBLE last year…
by ba on Oct 16, 2005 1:49 PM CDT reply actions
haha linus,
witten is your awnser for everything
by Koolaid on Oct 16, 2005 1:51 PM CDT reply actions
remember the green bay game in particular last year…that was the worst defense played in a professional game that i’ve ever seen
by ba on Oct 16, 2005 1:52 PM CDT reply actions
yes he’s the answer but for penalty but YES witten
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 1:52 PM CDT reply actions
better score…..this was scary some years ago…playing like this….dominating teams but letting them stay in and win at the end. Time to put the coon-tune on this bitch
by starfire on Oct 16, 2005 1:53 PM CDT reply actions
Nice acting job by whoever it was on the Giants.
That was not a penalty.
by Brandon on Oct 16, 2005 1:53 PM CDT reply actions
Nice acting job by whoever it was on the Giants.
That was not a penalty.
by Brandon on Oct 16, 2005 1:54 PM CDT reply actions
we’re going to loose this game…this is as sloppy as Ive seen an offense play in years
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 1:55 PM CDT reply actions
i’ve said it before and i will say it again….cortez sucks
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 1:55 PM CDT reply actions
BTW…time to give A. Thomas a can of pork and beans, stick an apple in his mouth, and show him the door….T Thompson is way better RB…..even if he isnt as experienced at blitz pickup
by starfire on Oct 16, 2005 1:55 PM CDT reply actions
No matter the outcome, they’re not able yet to put two good games together. The defense is playing today. The offensive line is not.
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 1:55 PM CDT reply actions
man, this game is uuuuuuuggggggllllllyyyyyy!!!!!
Glad I was able to watch a real game yesterday, USC @ ND was a great game!!!
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 1:56 PM CDT reply actions
we just killed ourselves!
we went from TD,
to FG
to nothing!!!!
by Koolaid on Oct 16, 2005 1:56 PM CDT reply actions
my friend was at that game…the brady quinn td at the end of the game happened right in front of him…he was beside himself
by ba on Oct 16, 2005 1:56 PM CDT reply actions
ba, not too long more….they’ll get tired eventually
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 1:57 PM CDT reply actions
yeah but i just dont think eli is as good as espn and troy the boy wants us to believe…and in this game, he IS their offense in my opinion
by ba on Oct 16, 2005 1:58 PM CDT reply actions
we need a WIN. i’ll take a sloppy win anytime.
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 1:58 PM CDT reply actions
this is where the extra d lineman will help in staying fresh
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 1:59 PM CDT reply actions
ok, dont get burned on this 3rd down and lets score a TD before this get ugglier
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 1:59 PM CDT reply actions
ill take an uggly win, a pretty win, a stupid win if that’s the case…problem is, this is still not a win
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 2:00 PM CDT reply actions
New nickname.
Roy “manos de piedra” Williams. You could throw a
velcro ball at him and let him wear stickum and he
still wouldn’t catch it.
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 2:01 PM CDT reply actions
the fed ex commercials are freakin hilarious!! is it just me?
by ba on Oct 16, 2005 2:02 PM CDT reply actions
Maybe the NFL should allow Roy a fishing net, maybe that would help…..
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 2:02 PM CDT reply actions
flozell hurt….was it his pride maybe…too heavy in him?
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 2:04 PM CDT reply actions
A-train is just a bad a Eddie George,we need to see more TT…..
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 2:04 PM CDT reply actions
lets see if A thomas can get his average up to 1/2 yard per carry….
by starfire on Oct 16, 2005 2:04 PM CDT reply actions
agree with you sharkz….is Big Willie that dense not to see the difference between A Thomas and T Thompson?
by starfire on Oct 16, 2005 2:06 PM CDT reply actions
If I was a fan and had to pay for a ticket for this garbage, I’d be asking for my money back
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 2:06 PM CDT reply actions
the problem with TT is prtection for Bledsoe….we have to acknoledge the fact that if Bledsoe gets hurt, our season is pretty much over
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 2:08 PM CDT reply actions
yeah, i agree we have a lot of depth but not at qb that’s for sure….nice play their barber
by ba on Oct 16, 2005 2:08 PM CDT reply actions
dont like a pass to barber…but if it works….go for it
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 2:09 PM CDT reply actions
MARION BARBER MADE A PLAY! MARK IT ON YOUR CALENDER!!
by Koolaid on Oct 16, 2005 2:09 PM CDT reply actions
Giants are gonna be dead late in the 4th quarter in this 100 degree plus heat!
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 2:11 PM CDT reply actions
“cursin the sweat in the texas heat, and mesquiters”
by ba on Oct 16, 2005 2:12 PM CDT reply actions
minnessota loosing again…..boy do they suck w/o randy
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 2:12 PM CDT reply actions
if we can pound the ball running now and get points…we will win
by starfire on Oct 16, 2005 2:13 PM CDT reply actions
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!what a catch by Keyshawn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 2:13 PM CDT reply actions
anybody else want to say anyhing about KJ? the guy is good
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 2:13 PM CDT reply actions
top ten play of the week there chris…go ahead and que it up
by ba on Oct 16, 2005 2:13 PM CDT reply actions
Moss isn’t the problem in MInnesota, they miss their offensive coordinator, not Moss plus the team is outta control
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 2:14 PM CDT reply actions
That one’s gonna make the highlight reels for sure!
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 2:14 PM CDT reply actions
we need a TD here and then a stop…we need to get this game to a 2 TD lead quickly..
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 2:14 PM CDT reply actions
Anything, ANY-THING to get to 14.
I dont’ want another week of scoring 13 and losing…..
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 2:14 PM CDT reply actions
I guess my over/under of 45 is going out the window
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 2:15 PM CDT reply actions
derrick, cmon…..Moss took double coverage all the time…now Culppepper has to be accurate…which he isnt…
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 2:15 PM CDT reply actions
this is a great drive but they really need to pound it into the end zone.
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 2:17 PM CDT reply actions
what a nice play to see 2 giants deffenders running straight at campbell and guy didnt even hesitate to go at them…ha ha ah
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 2:17 PM CDT reply actions
that stinks they should have gone for it instead of trying to draw them off sides
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 2:19 PM CDT reply actions
Well, with the way the Giants have had trouble moving the ball today, this is probably the wise decision.
by Brandon on Oct 16, 2005 2:19 PM CDT reply actions
Why do the Cowboys refuse to call QB sneak on 3rd or 4th and inches?
by JayDub on Oct 16, 2005 2:20 PM CDT reply actions
keyshawns crazy catch was the 700th of his career
by Koolaid on Oct 16, 2005 2:20 PM CDT reply actions
look at us hoping for 3 against the NFL’s worst defense?
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 2:20 PM CDT reply actions
Not a bad drive actually. I was hoping for a couple of first downs to play field position.
by BlueCheese on Oct 16, 2005 2:21 PM CDT reply actions
10-6
we just need to hold on for 12:44 and we are safe
by Koolaid on Oct 16, 2005 2:22 PM CDT reply actions
still impressive drive starting at 10 kept G defense on field and came away with points
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 2:22 PM CDT reply actions
the way they were playing, the should have gone for the 4th n goal and try for a TD
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 2:23 PM CDT reply actions
I don’t feel too well with a 4 point lead…
remember the Redskins?
something could happen.. we need another 7
by MikeA on Oct 16, 2005 2:24 PM CDT reply actions
Cowboys defense is coming together, for the second straight week we are shutting down another great offense!
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 2:24 PM CDT reply actions
we need to hold them to a FG or a TO and then score…this game is ugly as hell
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 2:26 PM CDT reply actions
didn’t I tell yall?
we should have went for it on 4th down..
now we are in trouble
again
by MikeA on Oct 16, 2005 2:26 PM CDT reply actions
cover deep….dont get burned here!!!! please…get another sack and take the out of field goal range
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 2:27 PM CDT reply actions
we have dominated this team and could still lose..
Go Ware!!! 4th sack of the year!!
by MikeA on Oct 16, 2005 2:27 PM CDT reply actions
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Fumble Ellis recovers and runs for 40 yards!!!
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 2:29 PM CDT reply actions
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YES YES YE YS YES YES YES YES…FINISH THEM NOW FINISH THEM
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 2:29 PM CDT reply actions
The heat is killing them. Did you see how many linemen were crawling after that play? Seven here would seal it. Everybody’s dead.
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 2:29 PM CDT reply actions
offsides…please cowboys score…get this damn game over with
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 2:30 PM CDT reply actions
hopefully Parcells doesn’t go three and out with the run
don’t go conservative!!
by MikeA on Oct 16, 2005 2:30 PM CDT reply actions
finish it! A TD will put this one in the bag….
by starfire on Oct 16, 2005 2:31 PM CDT reply actions
i take back all the bad things ive said about barber
hes won me over
by Koolaid on Oct 16, 2005 2:31 PM CDT reply actions
eat the clock and please score a TD…not a field goal…
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 2:31 PM CDT reply actions
Parcells was right about not to worry about our running game without JJ
by MikeA on Oct 16, 2005 2:33 PM CDT reply actions
see? run run run
its too much.. should have passed on 2nd down
by MikeA on Oct 16, 2005 2:33 PM CDT reply actions
forget the play action that close to the goal line
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 2:35 PM CDT reply actions
that is totally bs Payton!
we just gave up that 1st down
by MikeA on Oct 16, 2005 2:35 PM CDT reply actions
whitten was wide open though not in the end zone
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 2:36 PM CDT reply actions
I’m glad to be up seven, but we’re at 13 again…..
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 2:36 PM CDT reply actions
BTW, we’re seeing what happens when you have two tackles who need
protection help. Those last two plays were hurt by Torrin Tucker’s
weak blocking.
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 2:38 PM CDT reply actions
just 1 more stop by the defense and we should have this
by Koolaid on Oct 16, 2005 2:38 PM CDT reply actions
forget everything these last 4 minutes are all that matters
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 2:39 PM CDT reply actions
13 will be enough this time thanks to a Terence newman INT….
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 2:39 PM CDT reply actions
giants are working tight end Eli finding confidence
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 2:42 PM CDT reply actions
hope Big Willie isnt going to play a ‘Prevent Nothing’ defense
by starfire on Oct 16, 2005 2:43 PM CDT reply actions
glenn damn you…..thats an Interception to win it
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 2:47 PM CDT reply actions
if nyg win this, this is all on the offense.
by BlueCheese on Oct 16, 2005 2:48 PM CDT reply actions
all we can hope for now is a hold here like in San Diego
by MikeA on Oct 16, 2005 2:48 PM CDT reply actions
even if the giants manage to scrape a td out of this, we will still get the ball back with a chance
by Koolaid on Oct 16, 2005 2:49 PM CDT reply actions
no doubt the offense has been sucking big time.
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 2:49 PM CDT reply actions
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GO COWBOYS!!!!!!game over!!!!!!!
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 2:50 PM CDT reply actions
how lucky is that? how do you spell relief?
W I L L I A M S
by MikeA on Oct 16, 2005 2:51 PM CDT reply actions
The giants must of took the play from us ealier in the season, use a rookie on an important goal line play, pretty dumb….
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 2:52 PM CDT reply actions
sharks you’re 100% right….watch out this is not over yet
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 2:52 PM CDT reply actions
Bluecheese..the Giants sent in their huge RB and he fumbled at the one after Roy smacked him and Dallas recovered!
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 2:52 PM CDT reply actions
he can hit, he can’t catch but he can fall on the ball….go ROY!
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 2:52 PM CDT reply actions
So assuming we run it here and force the Giants to burn a timeout…
Do you take a safety on fourth down and force them to go about 70 yards with no time outs and about a minute left?
by Brandon on Oct 16, 2005 2:54 PM CDT reply actions
dont get safety on third down and make them burn the last timeout
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 2:54 PM CDT reply actions
that was what they were trying to do
should have done it on 2nd
by MikeA on Oct 16, 2005 2:55 PM CDT reply actions
punt it.
two point will definitely hurt you if they get a td.
make them drive 45-50 yards for a td
by BlueCheese on Oct 16, 2005 2:55 PM CDT reply actions
who could have imagined? oh wait, yes, washington…
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 2:58 PM CDT reply actions
Somebody explain to me why I continue to root for this team that continually tries to lose games they should win?
by Maurice on Oct 16, 2005 2:59 PM CDT reply actions
no one covering him…..he has been open all tlhe 4th quarter
by starfire on Oct 16, 2005 2:59 PM CDT reply actions
it’s proving to be too hard to watch a talented young team suck and make way too many mistakes games they should have totally won
they dominated this game
how lame Im just pissed
by MikeA on Oct 16, 2005 2:59 PM CDT reply actions
zimmer gets the game ball ha this is worse given the fact eli had zero success and to come back like this
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 2:59 PM CDT reply actions
remind anyone of the Washington game? Offense totally let the team down.
by BlueCheese on Oct 16, 2005 3:00 PM CDT reply actions
Good idea Bill, play for OT when your defense is collapsing
by Maurice on Oct 16, 2005 3:00 PM CDT reply actions
Maurice
come back to watch next year when their a little more mature and have learned to pull their heads out of their asses
by MikeA on Oct 16, 2005 3:01 PM CDT reply actions
There is no pressure on Eli. the d-line tired out?
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 3:01 PM CDT reply actions
Maurice,
If you need one of us to convince you to continue to be a Cowboy fan, find another team…there are plenty of your type of fan here in NC w/ the Panthers…
by kellya on Oct 16, 2005 3:02 PM CDT reply actions
stop being so pessimistic, our offense has been doing good. you cant expect them to do something from the one yard line
by rashdogg on Oct 16, 2005 3:03 PM CDT reply actions
with his speed, why does TT always run into the pile?
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 3:03 PM CDT reply actions
peerless, I think you’ll be playing next week. That doesn’t look good at all
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 3:04 PM CDT reply actions
Well thanks for that Kellya. I guess you’re happy with this?
by Maurice on Oct 16, 2005 3:04 PM CDT reply actions
That’s why we signed Peerless Price. Yeesh that looked ugly.
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 3:05 PM CDT reply actions
giants are waiting for big play on defense via blitz so it is coming
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 3:05 PM CDT reply actions
if anyone can save this game is Drew Bledsoe…thankfully, I believe the guy can play…..please get this over with….we will not stop their offense, our D is tired already
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 3:05 PM CDT reply actions
In my opinion, using a player’s injury as a way to make money is sick and twisted.
by JayDub on Oct 16, 2005 3:05 PM CDT reply actions
nvm hes gonna be out for the year prob good thing we got peerless
by L on Oct 16, 2005 3:06 PM CDT reply actions
YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!25 yard gain!!!!!!In FG range!!!
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 3:08 PM CDT reply actions
keep passing….do not NOT N O T put this game on superman’s leg
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 3:08 PM CDT reply actions
no I dont trust him but we have no choice ISNT THAT EXCITING?
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 3:09 PM CDT reply actions
Unless you’re the Giants.
Thank you Antonio Pierce for that stupid penalty.
by Brandon on Oct 16, 2005 3:09 PM CDT reply actions
holding my breath
Parcells is actually going to rely on Cortez’s leg?
is he insane?
by MikeA on Oct 16, 2005 3:11 PM CDT reply actions
they are so damn ignorant.. I have to say the play calling at times is
assinine!
by MikeA on Oct 16, 2005 3:12 PM CDT reply actions
THAT’S WHY WE PAY CORTEZ THE BIG BUCKS – oh wait, we didnt lets see
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 3:12 PM CDT reply actions
cortez i will personally kill you if you miss this……cabron
by ManTab on Oct 16, 2005 3:12 PM CDT reply actions
Bledsoe and his short passes. seen too many of those in pressure situations this season
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 3:12 PM CDT reply actions
this is bad, miss it and eli has great field position
by BlueCheese on Oct 16, 2005 3:12 PM CDT reply actions
its goooooodddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!! Dallas Wins…thats an ugly second win!!!!!
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 3:12 PM CDT reply actions
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
by L on Oct 16, 2005 3:12 PM CDT reply actions
we need this sooooo bad….wash is still down
by Jim Goddard on Oct 16, 2005 3:12 PM CDT reply actions
if Cortez misses, who wants to bet they go big down the field again? has to make it
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 3:12 PM CDT reply actions
CORTEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Cowboys win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 3:13 PM CDT reply actions
i have a foot in my mouth. i ragged on cortez but he was the man today
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 3:13 PM CDT reply actions
that was a huge win. I don’t care how ugly it was. it was
huge.
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 3:13 PM CDT reply actions
heck my grandma and dog knows we when we are going to run
by MikeA on Oct 16, 2005 3:13 PM CDT reply actions
You gotta win those tough ones and this is one of them. Now lets go KC.
by F.J on Oct 16, 2005 3:14 PM CDT reply actions
Mike A,
What’s wrong with the play calls? You shouldn’t lose five yards
on an off tackle run. And the pass to Keyshawn was a fine call
He was open. It’s not Payton’s fault Bledsoe blew the throw.
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 3:15 PM CDT reply actions
i liked the play calls, if it wasnt for our fumbles we would have destroyed them
by Koolaid on Oct 16, 2005 3:16 PM CDT reply actions
It doesn’t matter how they got it…they got it…big win for a young team…building blocks are being put in place FAST…this will be good for a while….
by kellya on Oct 16, 2005 3:16 PM CDT reply actions
what is frustrating is that we know what this team can do when everything clicks, after seeing them crush filly. This one was disappointing, everywhere except where it matters, on the scoreboard.
by BlueCheese on Oct 16, 2005 3:18 PM CDT reply actions
WAS loses
DAL wins
it doesnt get much better than this
by Koolaid on Oct 16, 2005 3:18 PM CDT reply actions
Well, the NFL continues to insist on screwing the Saints for some sick reason.
Atlanta misses a FG, but the refs call a bullshit defensive holding penalty to give Atlanta’s kicker another shot and he nails it down the middle.
Seriously, if I’m Jim Haslett, I fly up to New York right after this one and hold Paul Tagliabue hostage until he agrees to replay this game.
by Brandon on Oct 16, 2005 3:19 PM CDT reply actions
I know derrick,I’m in SA and hated to see them lose!
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 3:19 PM CDT reply actions
Where is a good place to get Cowboy writeups? I used to link the Dallas paper but they started charging for Cowboys stuff.
by Maurice on Oct 16, 2005 3:20 PM CDT reply actions
Say hello to the current winner of the NFC East pageant. All the contestants have B.O., crooked teeth and ratty hair. But the Cowboys, for the moment, are the prettiest.
Dallas 4-2
Eagles, Giants and Skins 3-2
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 3:20 PM CDT reply actions
one negative for me was the A-Train. he didn’t impress me much. how did Thompson get in the doghouse after his performance last week?
by BlitzEli on Oct 16, 2005 3:22 PM CDT reply actions
say it with me “JJ” “JJ” “JJ” we need him next week
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 3:23 PM CDT reply actions
Marion Barber will come out well this week. Picked up the blitz well, ran better than A-Train, caught a nice screen pass, and most importantly, didn’t fumble the ball.
by Rafael Vela on Oct 16, 2005 3:24 PM CDT reply actions
Texas could possibly have three world champs!(SPURS,ASTROS,COWBOYS)
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 3:25 PM CDT reply actions
what a game, I almost had a heart attack, CORTEZ IS THE MAN!!!, but no it shouldnt even of been close, our defense once again, SHUT EM DOWN, but our offence…dissapointing, wasnt a bad game, KJ had what like 120 yards, whitten had a good game, that td called back…that one hurt…bledsoe had a good game, just didnt make the right plays at the right time, barber and A-train looked good, I dont even like thomas, but I did today, good game, hey it was a good win…regardless…skins lost..1ST PLACE BABY!!!!!
by NflCowboys on Oct 16, 2005 3:28 PM CDT reply actions
I think Barber showed something today, He’ll get some more playing time next week,Thomas, has clearly lost a step, he might be sitting again next week.
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 3:31 PM CDT reply actions
Too many good things happened today in ref to results….but our game was sloppy and bad. Our Offense really needs JJ, and Flozell Adamas (even though I was the 1st to almost kill him on the penalties). Our D played great untill the last drive when it really mattered…..have we been able to stop any 4th down attempt?
Just hope while we all celebrate and think we are the best team in the history of the NFL, Bill Parcells keeps his butt busy on solving some bi time issues with this team (deep cov erage being the first).

Hear me out. I believe that this win is almost or more impressive than last week. There were TO’s that Dallas overcame and the D was facing worse field position all game. Truly, the offense threw at will and the running game was horrilbe.
I think A-Train should be cut. I can name you 10 better RB’s available on the wire right now. Marion Barber was far better than Thomas.
Cortez needs to go. Don’t be fooled by this game winning kick!
Cut Cortez!

Next up, SEATTLE.
Thats a team we should beat, hopefully we’ll learn from this game and put it all together and bury seattle early. Zimmer’s defense is coming into form thats for sure.

Mr. T.,
I agree…last week came too easy…this took focus and guts for a young team…great way for them to define themselves

Maurice,
In honesty, this is the best and only place to get Cowboy writeups. I believe Raf is right on with no agenda. I also think some of the guys in place are great. I’ve been a Cowboys addict for many, many years and ANY media source has an agenda and is really not in tune with what’s going on.

2 wins in a row. sloppy game but great outcome. i still think cortez is bad but i was impressed that he came up CLUTCH on a 40+ yd FG. must and hopefully win next 2 games, then cowboys have another huge game vs. philly

by Norm on Oct 16, 2005 3:46 PM CDT reply actions
hmm Derrick lets be real that’s all bad things happen on a football field and anytime you can get out and dont — then stuff like this happens
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 3:48 PM CDT reply actions
crayton is a big strong WR and if he is badly hurt, it will hurt the team. i think he has been playing pretty well since pre-season. on punt return tough he makes me nervous.
by skullmunky on Oct 16, 2005 3:49 PM CDT reply actions
Linus, the defense didn’t collapse, give the giants some credit, Manning made three plays in the whole game. I’ll take that defensive performance every week. Turnovers kept this game close on offense.
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 3:51 PM CDT reply actions
not me bud. Give giants’ credit — sure just like I give Washington credit 2 times in how many weeks? Name one other NFL team wearing that jacket. That defensive performance got us a tie game where the giants offense had been stymied — then turned it lose at the end That makes it even more unacceptable. I wont take that defensive performance. It was the luck of the coin toss and bledsoe on offense that got us that win
by linus on Oct 16, 2005 3:57 PM CDT reply actions
some comments: Crayton; wow, I really like that kid; I hope whatever it is, it’s not too serious; someone tell me, but even a broken ankle is better than an ACL??
like the Skins, like Raiders, let the Giants hang around, hang around, hang around; but I"m gonna take glass half full approach this time: since it was a win, this was a character builder, and they probably needed it…
all the Gints fans I know, told me the Giant offense would run over the Cowboys; that didn’t happen, they had what, maybe 3 plays on offense, the whole game; if the Cowboys hadn’t of self destructed on Offense, this would’ve been a blow out like last week.
Bottomline; Except for that Gints’ touchdown within the last minute, the Cowboy defense dominated the Giant Offense, and the Cowboy Offense self destructed itself. not the other way around…
The Cowboy running game is STILl weak; don’t know what it is; not using the FB enough, the blocking up front, something is wrong.
But, they’d better get it on track; they need to throw, to set up the run, because the reverse is NOT working right now…..
LARGE game; they pulled it out; that was a character win; Keyshawn despite the fumble, was Large today; Witten; run game needs WORK; Crayton, man, get better; Defense: it’s 60min; not 59 (Gints); not 56 (Skins); but I’ll give the Offense some of the responsibility in both as well.
Seahawks next, in Seattle…

Linus,
I was just kidding. What are you kidding me? Don’t think for 1 second that win was because of a coin toss! That’s out and out STUPID! The Cowboys defense really did play great. Now, you name me a defense that coud wear that “jacket”.
You have no clue of what you’re talking about.
by mr. T on Oct 16, 2005 4:16 PM CDT reply actions
Additional comment, I wish the Cowboys would trade the A-Train and get it over with; Thompson and Barber were much better, and have been, if the A-Train was so good, he’d still be in Chicago…
by Dale in Atlanta on Oct 16, 2005 4:23 PM CDT reply actions
dale,
your right, but what could you get for A-Train?
by mr. T on Oct 16, 2005 4:43 PM CDT reply actions
a train is great in pass protection, i think he might be better suited for fb, wonder if he could open any holes?, did`nt hear davis the free safety`s name mentioned so that must be good, we will finally get to see price, too bad about crayton however.

Cardiac Cowboys again… I guess that they didn’t carry any momentum from last game… Some things that come to mind:
- Saw that some of you were calling for JJ, with the line play we saw in this game, what in heavens name would have he been capable of doing?
- Slow start by Petitti, be he managed to get his hands on Strahan from there.
- That might be the worst game from Flozell that I’ve seen in a while, it makes me wonder how would he look like if he faces Freeney… Bledsoe must thank the Gods of Football that we don’t have Indy in the schedule…
- Cortez… Some of you want him gone, who would you take? Shuisham? Doug Brien? Cortez missed from 49 and 48 yards, in those Cundiff was also inaccurate.
- Crayton breaking an ankle is a tough loss.
- The play calling was fine, the execution was poor several times in the course of the game.
- Great game from Ellis, he wasn’t showed much love in preseason from several fans in this place, he’s showing us a strong statement that he can make plays and will be making them for a while.
- On the other hand, the whole Defense crumbled in the last 5 minutes again, in the end they allowed 270 yards (net). And Dallas won the time of posession (38:21 – 21:39) so the D crumbling that way should be laid as material of study throughout the week.
This game says much, we have a Defense that can reminds us the times of the Doom, but isn’t there yet. And we have an Offense that can play a great game but can also make some costly mistakes. In the end we won the game, but I don’t think that Dallas would’ve made it out the field with a W if it weren’t for the coin toss being favorable to them.

Cardiac Cowboys, indeed. Sloppy game by both offenses. Big loss for us if Crayton is out for the year (I sure hope not) but at least we have a good insurance policy waiting around for 6 weeks now. I was disappointed when the defense gave up that last minute TD but overall they did great considering the fact that the offense kept turning the ball over. Demarcus Ware is starting to really come on with another sack. Running game is still erratic and I was surprised and disappointed that we didn’t see Thompson get more carries. Cowboys are batting .600 now with close games but if this keeps it will just average out. Except for the game last week, this team cannot seem to find the balance of good offense and good defense at the same game.

That game almost gave me a heart attack. Whew it was a close one. Of course I couldn’t watch it because they didn’t play it here so that kinda sucked. 1st place baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Parcells better step up and have more passing. This was a “Huge” win for Dallas, now sit back, relax, and watch the boys demolish the Seahawks!!
Go Cowboys!!!
by Q-Tip on Oct 16, 2005 5:54 PM CDT reply actions
Chandus,
I disagree with the your opinion on a-train. There was holes that closed fast. JJ hits the hole a lot faster.
I would cut Cortez and there are better kickers out there. You’re right Cundsniff misses those FG’s as well. I’d look at Rhett Kopp, who was cut by NE in camp, or Jeff Chandler out of Florida that was cut by the Skins in camp.
And how many TO’s do you want the defense to overcome? They played great.
This is the cardiac NFL. The good teams win close games. The bad teams don’t.

Fellas! dont know if anyone has posted this yet but ESPN reports thats Patrick Crayton has broken his ankle and is out indefinately! DAMN!
by Jwayne on Oct 16, 2005 7:03 PM CDT reply actions
My bad didnt get a chance to read the others posts cuz I was/am so upset about Crayton. Peerless might be nice but I dont think he gives us that same ability as Crayton. Could be wrong and I hope I am.

Defense….not enough credit is going to what is key on the Dallas D….i think Key is Le Roi Glover….he is demolishing the center of the O line, and that is the main reason Ware and Ellis are getting so much pressure from outside (besides that they are really good also)

Now comes another high-powered offense in the Seahawks.I really think Zimmer is doing a great job with the defense!By season’s end we should be scarey!Time for PP to step in and show something, and A-Train needs to go,he’s horrible.
by sharkz on Oct 16, 2005 8:23 PM CDT reply actions
Sharkz,
Man, you and I are in the minority when talking about Zimmer. I too think he’s doing a great job, finally bill and jerry got him some players to work with instead of the bargain basement players he’s had to work with the last three years. I dont care if he only coached the 4-3, he’s got the smarts to get this team doing what Bill wants to do on defense, I’m glad Jerry realised this and didn’t allow Nebraska to sign him away. This defense is only going to get better as the season goes on. Even starting to see the blitz off the corner now, something we didn’t see earlier in the season. When the players understand their assignmemts more and feel more comfortable in this defense, the more Zimmer will open up the defensive play book. We are getting more pressures and sacks now than anytime in the last 10 years.
I also agree with you about A-train, he seems to have lost a step, Look for him to be more inactive on game day, replaced with Marion Barber.Peerless Price, looks like your number is about to be called, so its time for you to put up or shut up. I’m wondering if Crayton had not been injured today, whetther, Price might have been traded by tuesday this week, which is the trade deadline. I would certainly trade A-train for a low round pick—-get something for him, he’s not coming back next year anyway.
by Derrick on Oct 16, 2005 8:46 PM CDT reply actions
even though a-train looked decent today (considering him), he definately needs to go, he cant get it done, and I dont like him on the field, although he had a decent performance today… whoever said, you cant thank the coin toss and bledsoe for this win needs to be slapped!!! if our defence wouldve given up even one more field goal in this game, we wouldve lost, cuz our offense, bledsoe and all, just did not get it done, until overtime…wierd though, offensively, not a bad game at all, bledsoe had what 312 yards passin, KJ had 120, whitten 5 for 55 or something, that td called back…killed us…but all in all, we just didnt make the big plays when we needed, but hey…a wins a win, 4-2 is 4-2, and 1st place is 1st place, last year we wouldve lost that game…lovin every minute…go cowboys, SUCKS about crayton…Price baby!!! hell get it done…

sorry, meant to say “whoever said you CAN thank the cointoss”…so hope it didnt confuse anyone…go Cowboys!!!

ESPN: “It was luck, totally luck,” Dallas receiver Keyshawn Johnson said. “We’re entitled to have a bad game and still win, at least once.”

You guys who are convinced that Cortez needs to go, is it that he is in the top of the NFL in kickoff distance and opponent field position, or his 25 points he’s scored in the past two weeks. Is he at fault for having his kick blocked or snapping the ball in the dirt on an extra point. What if they did cut him. Then what improvements would you expect from the next kicker?
by boyfan on Oct 17, 2005 1:34 AM CDT reply actions
Boyfan,
You are right about Cortez, we won’t know how the other kicker will do.
Has anybody noticed, since Dat hasn’t played these 2 weeks, our defense is playing better?
