I know, lame, but thats all that Mick has to say. I’m just jonesing real bad for this game.
by Sean on Nov 14, 2005 5:51 PM CST reply actions
2 more hours… I’m gonna play some Madden to chill out till then. I’m gonna get exhausted just waiting.
This game feels like a playoff game to me. No matter what happens, I know I ain’t gonna be able to sleep afterward.

Ed Werder reported that Marion Barber would start.
by Cash on Nov 14, 2005 6:23 PM CST reply actions
henry worked out during warmups, but his ankles weren’t taped which is usually a sign the player wont play, but you never know.
by Derrick on Nov 14, 2005 6:32 PM CST reply actions
Yeah the Eagles fans egged our bus. Cant wait for those idiots to boo McNabb and the rest of the Eagles tonight. Jones and Barber will run crazy on them, and watch for Witten. Im calling that Ware, Canty, and Spears STEP UP HUGE this game.
by Lou on Nov 14, 2005 6:32 PM CST reply actions
I didn’t want to hear that, Lou. You forgot to put Glover and Fergie on you list.
by Sean on Nov 14, 2005 6:43 PM CST reply actions
Does anyone know when Micheal Irvin’s contract is up with ESPN, I thought the most anoying guy on TV was terry bradshaw, but was I wrong, its Micheal Irvin,he has to go, he’s pathetiic.
by Derrick on Nov 14, 2005 6:45 PM CST reply actions
Derrick…
I know … let ESPN hire T.O.! LOL After all, he’s in need of a job.
by Digger O'Dell on Nov 14, 2005 7:00 PM CST reply actions
Make sure Joe Theisman sees the door as well please.
by Outkast on Nov 14, 2005 7:02 PM CST reply actions
this waitting sucks…Madden sounded good to kill some time…. Hope this game over by the second qtr in our favor. Not sure my heart can stand another thriller……
by ManTab on Nov 14, 2005 7:08 PM CST reply actions
I like Micheal Irvin on ESPN. He provides a different viewpoint than everyone else, a pretty good one.
Aaron Glenn should step up in Anthony Henry’s place OK, especially with no TO.
by Foos on Nov 14, 2005 7:08 PM CST reply actions
sportsline says Marion Barber will start for the cowboys…hummmmmm…didnt expect that one
by ManTab on Nov 14, 2005 7:09 PM CST reply actions
Digger O’dell,
Yeah, T.O on the set of ESPN. How long would it for him to alienate everyone on there too. Remember the saying, I LOVE ME SOME OF ME!!!!

Henry’s absent is really concerning me. I know we have A. Glenn, but still. Not as comfortable as I was 2 hours ago.
by Dave on Nov 14, 2005 7:22 PM CST reply actions
before when a topic came up about the media, I said even michael irvin doesnt show any favoritism to his former team, tonight, Tom Jackson put us in his top 5, but not michael, oh well, hey, I live a bout a hour outside of Philly, ALL eagles fans around here (well, Giants to, alot of NY people down here), I CANT WAIT, GO COWBOYS!!!, Henry is out, that SUCKS thats OK, cuz Newman is finally havin a great year, Glenns good to, no problem, F**K McFagg up tonight, let Ware come around untouched one time tonight, PLEASE!!!, Lets go COWBOYS!!!

We’ve got the better team on the field. It’s the intangibles that concern me. This will be intense, but if we can jump on ’em early….
This is gonna be a huge statement game, either way. Again, feels like a playoff game.
by rich on Nov 14, 2005 7:45 PM CST reply actions
Speaking of T.O., if he gets rid of Rosenhouse … I’d surely think about it. He and his agent remind me of Mike Tyson and Don King. All the “promoter” sees is $$$$ at any expence, even the player’s. Look at Owens’ delema, since he signed the dotted line with his super-agent is his situation better or worse? If Owens was any smart, he would dump the guy and self promote himself … he is one of the best at that, ever. What he did last year to even play in the Super Bowl was spectacular, and his rah rah antics after his TDs got his face all over every sports highlight reel.
Message to Mr. Terrell Owens:
Your “guy” got you fired! He looked lost and silly with his “no comment” after “no comment” to reporters’ questions. What you did last season, to prepare and ready yourself for the biggest game of your career was remarkable!! Willis Reed-like!! You had the entire city of Philadelphia wrapped around your finger! You had EVERY coach in the NFL salivating over you. “T.O.” meant the ultimate football player!! Great talent, that unselfishly put his body at risk to win a Ring, to be a Champion!! You created “T.O.”. Just stop!! Look at the man before you who was the youngest heavy weight Champion ever … by his own admision he trusted the wrong people … and look at his legacy now. Terrel just stop!! Go back to what worked for you!! Go back to playing football!!

This game’s so huge, I’m seriously considering wiping the dust off of my TV screen.

Wow!
Did you hear the Ed Werder report:
Jerry supposedly said two years ago when TO was leaving the 49ers in response to could you let TO play with the cowboys considering what he did the star, Jerry replied “that if the Cowboys could get TO he could sleep under the star”
Wow.

JJ needs to be back in there. They’ll just stack the line and pressure Bledsoe. JJ ran for 72 in the 1st half against the Eagles and they respected him.

I’m hoping we get to see a lot of P.Price today…havent seen him play too often prior to joining the Boys

Dammit! Barber would’ve scored if he hadn’t slipped!
by sharkz on Nov 14, 2005 8:37 PM CST reply actions
That first series didn’t look good for us. 3 and out…not good. We do look really flat. I hope our boys don’t think they can come and get the win. Unfortunately, the Beagles will attempt to fight against the boys of D-town.

I feel alot better now that we made it through the first quarter tied. We entered the hornets nest and we got the pertective gear on, now its time to collect the honey…
by Derrick on Nov 14, 2005 8:44 PM CST reply actions
Ive never been to a philly game…but i lived an hour away and go to school 15 mins away and yes…they are all jacka****. They showed on the local news how some funeral home donated a casket and roasted a dummy TO and burned his book? (i didnt know he had a book) and apparently TO jerseys were bought so that they can be given to the homeless…..so that should answer ya question heh

stupid play bledsoe….very stupid…take the sack!!!
by ManTab on Nov 14, 2005 9:15 PM CST reply actions
911 is what Bledose will be dialing if he keeps doing those stupid things…can’t believe that play
by ManTab on Nov 14, 2005 9:17 PM CST reply actions
I busted Sean payton and Parcells in times past for too conservative play calling. Bledsoe made a bad play but I think the defensive play calling is way too conservative and predictable
by linus on Nov 14, 2005 9:17 PM CST reply actions
I am not seeing an agressive D…However, this may be due to the death of Parcell’s brother. If Bill isnt himself, it may rub off on the team…just a thought….My condolences to him as well.

OK now 2 minutes worth of McNabb fawning by maddedn & Michaels.
by Maurice on Nov 14, 2005 9:23 PM CST reply actions
eagles defense has been far more disruptive via blitz Bledsoe and Payton are not quite sure what is coming their way
by linus on Nov 14, 2005 9:24 PM CST reply actions
Let’s get some points before halftime, then come out in the second half and knock the chunky soup outta McNabb!
by sharkz on Nov 14, 2005 9:24 PM CST reply actions
O-line’s gotta step up.
Especially with so many regulars out for Philly.
by Brandon on Nov 14, 2005 9:24 PM CST reply actions
We better start running in the 2nd half or we will lose.
by Lou on Nov 14, 2005 9:25 PM CST reply actions
Good luck ’Boys, but 5:30AM comes early. I fear the Eagles came to win and I will not sleep if I stay up for a lkoss.
by Maurice on Nov 14, 2005 9:26 PM CST reply actions
eagles doing better coaching on defense play calling is being dictated by philly defense
by linus on Nov 14, 2005 9:26 PM CST reply actions
here it is, wheres our offence? once again, they havent shown up, Bledsoe making another rookie mistake…2nd half adjustments, we gotta make them, I predict Philly to get away from the run in the 2nd half though, they all about passin period, we havent given up any big plays, cool, but our offence has to come alive, CMON BOYS!!!
by NflCowboys on Nov 14, 2005 9:31 PM CST reply actions
look for these 1/2 time adjustments from Cowboys:
Change 1. none
Change 2. see above
Parcells will give 1/2 time speech and tell them that this isnt about coaching but about whether they want this game.
by linus on Nov 14, 2005 9:32 PM CST reply actions
Bledsoe’s been great for us this year, but those boneheaded turnovers are murder! Win or lose, it’s gonna be a long night, because this is either a dogfight, multi-Alka Seltzer game, or our Cowboys get their butts kicked.
I was afraid about them being flat after the bye, and the Eagles look like they have a lot to prove after the T.O. debacle! Turnovers kill us! Crap, there goes my Dallas-31, Philly-6 prediction. I need some Alka Seltzer!
by onepaniolo on Nov 14, 2005 9:34 PM CST reply actions
As dumb as Bledsoe’s pass was, the play calling was worse. 2:59 to go w/ the ball @ the Phil. 29 & 3 TO’s left you really need to at least run the ball. Even if they aren’t successful it runs time of the clock to help against their two minute offense. Oh well 14-7 & we get the ball first. Time to grow up as a team or still be a team that is a year away.
by Dave on Nov 14, 2005 9:34 PM CST reply actions
here we go again; absolutely I was convinced, there was NO way that Big Bill and Payton would make this mistake in this important of a game; but here we go again…
the Cowboys showed on their first series, right after the Eagles scored, that they could light the Eagles up if they wanted to; but NO!
BP/SP decided, it’s time to go conservative again, we’re going to win a 10-7 shootout, and so there you go!
Then Drew, decides, I’m going get cute, and here we are; down 14-7, and the Eagles NOW think they’re as good as the Cowboys, and can hang around…
shear stupidity; I just can’t believe it…they shaw reap what they sow…
by Dale in Atlanta on Nov 14, 2005 9:35 PM CST reply actions
Bledsoe is underthorwing the ball, every cowboy looks as if they got the wrong cleats on!! Everyone is slipping!! Where is the run!!
Never mind Ware hitting the rookie wall, he is dbl teamed almost every play and they run right at him. What is Ellis doing!!!! They would have had one or two sacks, but everyone keeps slipping!1
by AlanTdot on Nov 14, 2005 9:40 PM CST reply actions
Our Defense is getting no pressure whatsoever. McNabb will pick us apart if they don’t get in his face. So much for their O-Line sucking with a new kid at Center. The ‘Boys look flat. At this rate, the Giants will be in first place, and a 3-way logjam for second place in the NFC East! We’re letting an opportunity slip by big time, if we don’t get off our butts and control the line of scrimmage like we should be. That turnover has given the Eagles life, and our ’Boys look deflated!
Second Half, we gotta run the ball more.
by onepaniolo on Nov 14, 2005 9:40 PM CST reply actions
how much of this is lack of preparation from BP vs lack of player leadership?
by linus on Nov 14, 2005 9:42 PM CST reply actions
Its more lack of player leadership. I’m sure The Tuna has done his homework.
by PJ on Nov 14, 2005 9:47 PM CST reply actions
They are fired up and we aren’t,that’s the problem…..
by sharkz on Nov 14, 2005 9:48 PM CST reply actions
looking at parcells on side line just seems he’s not the same
by linus on Nov 14, 2005 9:49 PM CST reply actions
With all that time off you would think the players would be fired up. Our line isnt holding up too well, and their Defensive play calling has been alot better than us.
by Lou on Nov 14, 2005 9:50 PM CST reply actions
They come out looking more flat. It’s gonna be a loooong night. If the Eagles score again, it’s over, because our offense looks too slow and flat to keep up. I think the bye was bad for the Cowboys. Their playing like they’re still on vacation! There’s a lot more urgency in the Eagles’ play.
by onepaniolo on Nov 14, 2005 9:51 PM CST reply actions
Parcells just laid his younger brother to rest, that’s why he looks that way.
by onepaniolo on Nov 14, 2005 9:53 PM CST reply actions
We need 7 points!!!Come on Cowboys wake up!!!!!!
by sharkz on Nov 14, 2005 9:58 PM CST reply actions
Everyone knew the roll out to Johnson was coming come on Sean Payton and our offense need to wake up before its too late. We could knock the Eagles out tonight but I dont think the team knows that
by Lou on Nov 14, 2005 10:03 PM CST reply actions
We needed to make a statement tonight. All we get is a whimper! This sucks!

Did parcells bury his brother and the cowboys season in the same day?
by jay langan on Nov 14, 2005 10:20 PM CST reply actions
When are we going to get a real NFL caliber football team again. Ever since Bill Parcels has come to town we have had nothing but a bunch of old has been castoffs that could not make the cut with other NFL teams. We really have not been any good for the last 8 years now. It is time to trade what little we have and rebuild again.
by BD on Nov 14, 2005 10:27 PM CST reply actions
Oh my God!!!! I need a box of Alka Seltzer! What a win!!!!!!
I think that we just found out that this team does have a heart!
However, after losing two games like this, it was our turn to win one like that!

Rafael,
Congratulations on the new look of the blog! It’s awesome! It’s really looking more like a home for us Cowboy fans.
Hey, how about the hustle of Bradie James on the interception! Roy wouldn’t have scored if it wasn’t for Bradie’s block on McNabb, and he might in fact have knocked McNabb out for a few games, if not for the season.
6-3 ’Boys are in first place once again!
