either Juluis or our D has to win this game…Bledsoe will not have the time to throw
by ManTab on Nov 14, 2005 9:41 PM CST reply actions
Pettitti looks like he has hit the rookie wall.
by AlanTdot on Nov 14, 2005 9:41 PM CST reply actions
gee, how did I know that was going to be a run on third down
by Derrick on Nov 14, 2005 9:47 PM CST reply actions
Torrin Tucker – getting beaten like a drum.
We need some turnovers.
by Joey2zs on Nov 14, 2005 9:48 PM CST reply actions
come on Boyz…….what is this crap I am seeing. You had these guys on the ropes……..and you let him take the lead. Now get the rushing attack on track……and burn em up downfield while you are at it……..oh and how about some sacks guys!!!!
by Jon on Nov 14, 2005 9:49 PM CST reply actions
Derrick:
3rd and 19 in your own territory? I got no problem with that call – but I do have an issue with the lookout block that Tucker so deftly executed …
by Raul on Nov 14, 2005 9:49 PM CST reply actions
w/o henry the chances for a turn over are slim….these guys will run the ball for the rest of the game since we are not stopping them very well….this is going to be extremely difficult
by ManTab on Nov 14, 2005 9:50 PM CST reply actions
parcells looks a little distant from the sideline
by linus on Nov 14, 2005 9:50 PM CST reply actions
Damn, its just a little upsetting to know that the Giants and Redskins lost this weekend and we dont seem to be taking advantage of this opportunity.
by Outkast on Nov 14, 2005 9:51 PM CST reply actions
We have a chance to bury the Eagles.
Instead, we come out with this sorry effort on both sides of the ball.
Unbelievable.
by Brandon on Nov 14, 2005 9:53 PM CST reply actions
why dont we just let the half expire while he’s waitting back there for someone to get open….jeeeeezzz
by ManTab on Nov 14, 2005 9:54 PM CST reply actions
too many negative plays tonight, that have killed any drives we’ve started
by Derrick on Nov 14, 2005 9:57 PM CST reply actions
They definately do not look sharp..
yuck
they should lose this game the way they are playing..
by MikeA on Nov 14, 2005 9:57 PM CST reply actions
they will lose if they keep playing the same way..
by Sippi on Nov 14, 2005 9:58 PM CST reply actions
lets go no huddle, shot gun, get some urgency to this offense.
by Derrick on Nov 14, 2005 9:59 PM CST reply actions
On another note…commercials….the main reason i hate Monday Night Football…its like a commercial every 2 mins…geez enough already
by Outkast on Nov 14, 2005 9:59 PM CST reply actions
We need a good drive here. i hope the cowboys throw something different out there. Screen even, I don’t know…
by AlanTdot on Nov 14, 2005 9:59 PM CST reply actions
your right Derrick.. urgency is what they better do..
by Sippi on Nov 14, 2005 10:00 PM CST reply actions
No one is scared of our run. THey just have their ears pinned back, no lane, no cut back, just right into the pile
by AlanTdot on Nov 14, 2005 10:01 PM CST reply actions
I’m tired of this sideline crap, use the middle of the field.
by Derrick on Nov 14, 2005 10:03 PM CST reply actions
Wow….they knew that play was going to be called…heck, i even knew that play was coming…we are being a little too predictable
by Outkast on Nov 14, 2005 10:03 PM CST reply actions
man was that a PREDICTABLE pass to Keyshawn shows you how the eagles defense has Payton bamboozled
by linus on Nov 14, 2005 10:03 PM CST reply actions
Bledsoe has pretty bad tonight or the O – line since he’s had no time at all…..this sucks…
by ManTab on Nov 14, 2005 10:03 PM CST reply actions
their doing the same things they did during the washington game
by Derrick on Nov 14, 2005 10:04 PM CST reply actions
WTF??? we are playin like S**T, cmon… D gotta step up just a notch, O gotta step up alot, cant take this…lets go…
by NflCowboys on Nov 14, 2005 10:04 PM CST reply actions
Madden calling Bledsoe sprinting out to the right……..well that qualifies as comedy.
Ball was poorly thrown and Witten was open 15 yards downfield…….everybody at home and on the field knew he was looking at KJ……rookie mistake…..and not really a great play design.
Where is the deep ball? We hit price…….send Glenn deep duh?
by Jon on Nov 14, 2005 10:05 PM CST reply actions
now philly is starting to make it fun — for them they are past nervous and taking over the game completely
by linus on Nov 14, 2005 10:06 PM CST reply actions
I still got faith, we can pull this game out, 4th quarter comeback, hate to see it, but love it tonight, lets do it…I dont know whats goin on…
by NflCowboys on Nov 14, 2005 10:07 PM CST reply actions
we’re not just mentally tough to win these games…..hurts
by ManTab on Nov 14, 2005 10:08 PM CST reply actions
Totally agree with you ManTab. Shame too because this coulda been a huge stepping stone for us.
If we keep playing like this, we deserve to lose.
by Outkast on Nov 14, 2005 10:10 PM CST reply actions
we still have a chance if they don’t score on this drive
by Sippi on Nov 14, 2005 10:11 PM CST reply actions
we have 18 yards rushing, not going to win too many games doing that
by Derrick on Nov 14, 2005 10:11 PM CST reply actions
we can still win this game…but I just dont see this team being competitive enough….if we get to the playoffs, we have to be tougher than this crap we’ve seen tonight to make any noise….
by ManTab on Nov 14, 2005 10:13 PM CST reply actions
It guess we needed someone on our team to trash talk bledsoe, then apologize, then get suspended, then… Eagles might fire someone next week the way this is working for them
by linus on Nov 14, 2005 10:14 PM CST reply actions
y does madden keep saying aaron glenn for terry glenn
by ryan on Nov 14, 2005 10:17 PM CST reply actions
Is something wrong with Beldsoe’s arm? His passes dont seem to be coming out right
by Outkast on Nov 14, 2005 10:17 PM CST reply actions
this game is over. not many if any positives from this game
by hatebyeweeks on Nov 14, 2005 10:18 PM CST reply actions
we flat out havent come to play. Some way to come out after our bye week
by Lou on Nov 14, 2005 10:19 PM CST reply actions
this looks like reverse world eagles look like cowboys first game
by linus on Nov 14, 2005 10:20 PM CST reply actions
This is appalling how bad BOTH lines are playing. We are getting owned at the line of scrimmage.
Ridiculous.
by Rob H on Nov 14, 2005 10:21 PM CST reply actions
I have to laugh at this stupid play action, philly isn’t buying it one bit.
by Derrick on Nov 14, 2005 10:21 PM CST reply actions
D finally gets a little pressure. I can’t believe how flat this team is. Both sides of the line are slow off the ball. D-line is stnding straight up.
by Sean on Nov 14, 2005 10:26 PM CST reply actions
how can they lack fire for a game like this? that’s disturbing
by hatebyeweeks on Nov 14, 2005 10:27 PM CST reply actions
Good call. The ball bounced in front of Davis befoer he hit him
by Sean on Nov 14, 2005 10:28 PM CST reply actions
I think Parcells personal tragedy with brother by far took more out of this team than T.O. did to eagles. I think this game somewhat shows you how much it depends on Parcells emotion and heart
by linus on Nov 14, 2005 10:29 PM CST reply actions
Yeah Parcells looks like he could care less about this game
by Lou on Nov 14, 2005 10:30 PM CST reply actions
wow, this is some kick ass horrible playing going on
by JD on Nov 14, 2005 10:30 PM CST reply actions
Bledsoe has played like crude. How long does he think he can hold the ball. And who does he think he is going to out run?
by Sean on Nov 14, 2005 10:30 PM CST reply actions
is bill parcells brother the middle linebacker or something? you guys talk like hes their star player.
by jew bloodsow on Nov 14, 2005 10:31 PM CST reply actions
It looks like the Cowboys don’t want to win this game.
by Dan on Nov 14, 2005 10:31 PM CST reply actions
This game is over. They don’t seem to have any emotion!
by Dan on Nov 14, 2005 10:32 PM CST reply actions
if you think Romo is getting in this game, you’re dreaming, WAKEUP!!!!!!lol
by Derrick on Nov 14, 2005 10:33 PM CST reply actions
work tmorrow is just going to be awesome….damn…i hate this crap
by ManTab on Nov 14, 2005 10:33 PM CST reply actions
theres plenty of time, but i dotn think this team knows how to handle it, absolutely terrible, im shocked
by ryan on Nov 14, 2005 10:33 PM CST reply actions
uh……..did Bill Parcell’s shrink give him valium for his grief…….I have never seen Bill so stoic on the sideline. No disrespect meant…..to Bill or His Family at this time…….he just does not look like himself. Neither does his team!
by Jon on Nov 14, 2005 10:33 PM CST reply actions
I we pick up TO I am going to become a Cardinals fan!
by BD on Nov 14, 2005 10:33 PM CST reply actions
McNabb looked like a friggin’ idiot doing that dipsh#t dance when he scored.
If anyone saw SNL on Saturday, they did a great job impersonating McNabb and his mom (wanting T.O. back).
by Elie on Nov 14, 2005 10:33 PM CST reply actions
We are lucky to be this close. If they didn;t have 12 penalties we’d be down by 30.
by Sean on Nov 14, 2005 10:34 PM CST reply actions
two TDs needed to win it……..ok Boys time to wake up and play the 4th Quarter……so far you’ve only played one series on offense all night! You let the Eagles run all over us on Defense……and now we gotta stage a comeback…….get it done……..I hate the EAGLES!!!
by Jon on Nov 14, 2005 10:35 PM CST reply actions
Why don’t they try throwing to Price more often. The Eagles are covering Glenn & Witten, that should leave Price wide open like the play in the 1st qtr.
by Dan on Nov 14, 2005 10:36 PM CST reply actions
the turning point in this game as far as I’m concerned was the failed end around in the second quarter.
by Derrick on Nov 14, 2005 10:36 PM CST reply actions
right now bill parcells brother and game plan have one thing in common , their both rotten
by jerry jones on Nov 14, 2005 10:36 PM CST reply actions
weve had decent field position due to TT, except that one at like the 4, but bledsoe has been like a deer in the headlights
by ryan on Nov 14, 2005 10:36 PM CST reply actions
there are chances & oppurtunities, and it looks as though neither one is going to show tonite
by pr roughneck on Nov 14, 2005 10:37 PM CST reply actions
Well we always have next year. I hate to give up on the boys but I just do not think they have what it takes this year just like the last 8 years. I am getting very sick of losing!!!
by BD on Nov 14, 2005 10:39 PM CST reply actions
This will be the most infuriating loss of the Bill Parcell’s era.
This team doesn’t have the killer instinct necessary to put wounded teams like the Eagles away.
by Brandon on Nov 14, 2005 10:40 PM CST reply actions
Forget killer instict, I think they forgot to get off the plane.
by Sean on Nov 14, 2005 10:40 PM CST reply actions
the O-line is going to have to be addressed in the offseason. I think the running plays just takes far too long to develop, no toss sweeps,
by Derrick on Nov 14, 2005 10:41 PM CST reply actions
think real life caught up with bill, no emotion
by pr roughneck on Nov 14, 2005 10:42 PM CST reply actions
you know sometimes when you are playing well you don’t want a bye week……..maybe we took too much time off.
We look sluggish on handoffs…..pedestrian on passes……and Bledsoe looks like he is back in Buffalo…….If Glenn and Witten are both Doubled covered……hit Jones underneat…..hit Price over the top……or hit Campbell?
by Jon on Nov 14, 2005 10:42 PM CST reply actions
brandon,
I agree. this young team needs to learn how to win this type of game.
by AlanTdot on Nov 14, 2005 10:43 PM CST reply actions
It would have been nice if they would have atleast showed up for the game. They looked like a bunch of practice drones for the Eagles to beat up on. I still think we could use a fresh dose of free agency and a whole slew of draft picks. We defintly need a new offensive line.
by BD on Nov 14, 2005 10:44 PM CST reply actions
Jon,
no way happy feet Bledsoe is getting through 4-5 reads tonight. he is locking in and holding that ball.
by AlanTdot on Nov 14, 2005 10:44 PM CST reply actions
Mr. Jerry Jones blogger
the rotten comment about Parcells and his deceased brother was way out of line
by linus on Nov 14, 2005 10:45 PM CST reply actions
Thats obvious, but how do you get them to that point? Do we not have any Charles Haley leadership to get us there.
by Sean on Nov 14, 2005 10:45 PM CST reply actions
Jerry jones needs to distribute some of his viagra to his offense, they are playing like a bunch of limp dic**
by jerry jones on Nov 14, 2005 10:45 PM CST reply actions
This just seems like a flat out gutless performance. No one is putting forth any extra effort
by Dude on Nov 14, 2005 10:46 PM CST reply actions
Eagles started the game by out quicking and out muscling our OLine.
they are playing on their heels.
by AlanTdot on Nov 14, 2005 10:46 PM CST reply actions
wounded teams are the most dangerous, and remember they are division champ and aren’t going to toss it in, they have alot of pride on that team
by Derrick on Nov 14, 2005 10:46 PM CST reply actions
Defense is Lucky this game is 37-7 right now. Thats what it should be
by Dude on Nov 14, 2005 10:47 PM CST reply actions
g’night floks. This one is done. Don’t need to see Donovan on that stupid trailer again.
by AlanTdot on Nov 14, 2005 10:47 PM CST reply actions
Well what happened to all that talk about our talent, we’re superior Crap? Just like always we come out conservative on offense and then our defense goes belly up. You gotta be freakin kidding me. This is a nightmare. Enough is enough! Lets find somebody who wants to play instead of a bunch of Prima Donnas. Eagles with a center in his very first game and they make us look like idiots. Give em a break!
by TDTEXAS on Nov 14, 2005 10:48 PM CST reply actions
that is a pretty good ass whipping they are handing us. hopefully we will wake our ass up for Detroit and Denver
by pr roughneck on Nov 14, 2005 10:52 PM CST reply actions
The whole team gets an F from me. Maybe KJ gets a B. Kick returns get an B as well. Nice tackle Price
by Sean on Nov 14, 2005 10:52 PM CST reply actions
I think losing has become the expected norm here for the Cowboys. I do not know how that happened but nobody seems to care on this team. They have not been worth a sh!& for along time now. The fact that they have been winning so far this year should motivate them tp put away the dam Eagles. Young or not they still need alot more players.
by BD on Nov 14, 2005 10:53 PM CST reply actions
KJ may have just moved up to an A for hurting someone.
by Sean on Nov 14, 2005 10:53 PM CST reply actions
McBriar gets game ball. This is pathetic. No quickness at all out of the team today. They are all running with heavy feet.
by Lambert on Nov 14, 2005 10:54 PM CST reply actions
don get too excited….this is still pretty far from being a comeback
by ManTab on Nov 14, 2005 10:56 PM CST reply actions
McBrair had a blocked punt due his slow kick(partly)
by Sean on Nov 14, 2005 10:56 PM CST reply actions
BTW. Nice blocking by Peerless on that Barber run.
by Dude on Nov 14, 2005 10:57 PM CST reply actions
maybe shades of washington comes back to thrill us
by pr roughneck on Nov 14, 2005 10:57 PM CST reply actions
ha. at least my fantasy team has some extra points tonight. Thanks Glenn.
This is just what I need. To be this amped at 12:00 midnight.
Why didn’t they do this all nigh tlong? they’ve been blitzing all night long.
by Joey2zs on Nov 14, 2005 10:57 PM CST reply actions
hey dallas saw the washington game so maybe there is a chance….
by linus on Nov 14, 2005 10:57 PM CST reply actions
Only the Cowboys can lose a 20 to 7 lead with 3 minutes left… I hangin it up!
by BD on Nov 14, 2005 10:58 PM CST reply actions

by Joey2zs on Nov 14, 2005 11:01 PM CST reply actions

by ryan on Nov 14, 2005 11:10 PM CST reply actions
Where was this urgency and pressure all night? Philly is a house of cards that needs to be punched in the mouth ( pardon my mixed metaphor).
What a turnaround. I’m reeling.
Got to say… Mcnabb is a warrior. I really respect his heart – he has questionable ability – but he’s a tough SOB.
by Joey2zs on Nov 14, 2005 11:10 PM CST reply actions
come on boys…..get a first down and finish these dirty birds!!!!
by Jon on Nov 14, 2005 11:10 PM CST reply actions

by AlanTdot on Nov 14, 2005 11:11 PM CST reply actions

by Derrick on Nov 14, 2005 11:19 PM CST reply actions
I said it after the Washington game. You’ll lose a game you shouldn’t, but you’ll win one you shouldn’t. Good to see Roy make that play on MNF to sort of exercise the demons!!!!!

The Cowboys figured out how to win one of those!
They DID grow up!
McNabb is done for awhile, and the Eagles are toast! Let’s see them get back up from that!
This is even better than a 30-0 ass-whipping!

Rafael,
Maybe some of our pixie dust or cosmic revenge…….or Monday Night Magic finally got sprinkled our way!!!
Ugly but you know a W is a W!!!!
Way to go Defense!!!
We still need to work on our Run Blocking!!! Other than that one draw and two or three carries between JJ and MB running looked bad! MBIII almost coughed it up and we lose on a field goal if he did……he is still a rookie.

It’s nice for once to be on the winning end of one of those games. This is why you don’t hit the sack till the game is over.
Jon,
And yes Henry is that important to us in stopping the run. I’m sure you noticed them bouncing it outside where Glenn was lined up and Glenn was getting pushed all over the field. Hopefully the rest will help for when he has to go up against Roy Williams next week.

A win is a win. But, we are not a good team. Too conservative and we just don’t get it week after week. We don’t have a killer instinct. When we do? We will kill teams like this esily.

Guys, going into this game reminds me of the cowboys and san fran In the early eighties when San fran won the game on a Td pass from Montana to clark play, they went on to be the team of the eighties and we spirled to the basement. I think we just witnessed the changing of the guard tonight.

I would put Henry a very close second…but I am an OU alumni, so I am a Roy Williams partisan. Plus, this game was a turning point for us emotionally and as far as taking the momentum in this division at the halfway point. We are now on track to win the division if we can beat the mediocre teams left on the schedule, beat the Giants again and if the Redskins keep fading away.
We have the momentum now!!

Hi Everybody!
Yes, yes, a nice win, but you all knew that and that is not why Oiler Troll writes.
Oiler Troll writes because Rafael insists that somebody testify to the fact that at 3:44 left in the game he proclaimed that it was time for the Cowboys to have a comeback win like the Redskins did earlier in the year.
Oiler Troll was much more optimistic about the vodka in his glass than the prospect of such an unlikely turn of events – for Oiler Troll, amazing comebacks only happen to evil teams and their bad, second-string quarterbacks.
Oiler Troll hopes Everybody enjoys the win…responsibly…VODKA FOR ALL MY FRIENDS!

Hey, how about the hustle of Bradie James on the interception! Roy wouldnâ€â"¢t have scored if it wasnâ€â"¢t for Bradieâ€â"¢s block on McNabb, and he might in fact have knocked McNabb out for a few games, if not for the season.

I think this is one of the most satisfying Cowboys victories I have seen in ages.
All during the game I kept thinking how sweet it would be for Roy to redeem himself for the Redskins game on MNF. Terry Glenn getting us to that point was when I started to feel it was going to happen.
This is a victory to savor!!

There’s very little time to savor the win as we have to get ready for Detroit, then Denver. With the way our run game went tonight (left back in Dallas I imagine), the Broncs will kick out butts out of Denver.

Digger-Denver has only played 3 road games and lost 2 of them. They are not nearly as tough on the road as they are at home. They are still formidable but very beatable. Losses to NYG and MIA on the road.

I still can’t believe that we pulled the game out. Talk ‘bout clutching victory from the jaws of defeat. Cowboys offense nearly lulled me to sleep tonite. There’s just something about playing on the road that seems to make this offense almost roll up and die. Defense wasn’t the best tonite but came up with some clutch plays. Of course, no more clutch than RW int/td. My condolences to Parcells. I could see it in his eyes that he was hurting emotionally. He didn’t yell at anybody, coach or player. He didn’t show any emotions until the end of the game. My heart goes out to him and his family.

Well, it took me about an hour, to find my heart somewhere under the couch, where the cat was knawing on it, and put it back into my chest, but it’s still not beating correctly…
Okay, I admit, I posted at the end of the half, and I DID NOT BELIEVE… it was over, I was pissed, depressed, upset, I saw the whole season slipping away, it was over, I was ranting on BP/SP, etc., ah, the taste of shoe leather in the morning…..
I could defend my earlier post, or parts of it, but what the heck; that would be just sour grapes now….
The way I railed on the Boys when they lost to the Skins, Raiders, and ‘Hawks; now to have this happen, I’d be a hypocrite to say anything else…
I just have to savour it, and shake my head in amazement…
This game, is the reason why people (except us…); hate the Cowboys…
I’ve seen some games; the Hail Mary, the Catch, Clint Longley on Turkey day, this one; it’s enough to make you old…
I don’t think my heart can take anymore of these games this year; I’d rather have them win by 30, or lose by 30; but this is gonna kill me…
by Dale in Atlanta on Nov 15, 2005 12:21 AM CST reply actions
not our prettiest performance of the year, but a wins a win, Im not surprised they ran the ball on us the way they did, I figured that was gonna happen…but we did JUST enough on Offense and defense to win, credit Bledsoe and the O on that last TD drive, dont forget, then Williams (yes, I have his throwback jersey) on that play, THE PLAY OF THE YEAR!!! gosh, what a game, heart pounding…but, I wouldnt want it any other way (oh wait, 33-10 thats right) well besides that, that play, literally was a dagger, you see McFagg layin on the ground in shame after that, its over…Eagles out the way, now lets do us, win this division…and see what happens in the playoffs…
by NflCowboys on Nov 15, 2005 12:28 AM CST reply actions
First we need to pound Detroit between the tackles to gain a measure of confidence back in our ground game. I would be happy with a 65% rushing to 35% pass ratio with a few big plays to Terry Glenn and/or Peerless Price thrown in.
Next, we need to VASTLY improve our run defense and put a linebacker as a spy on Plummer on Thanksgiving day. If we can stop the Bronco running game and put Plummer in a box I now we can win on Thanksgiving Day. It’s a bit of a tradition to see the Boys win on Turkey Day.
Playing 3 games in 10 days is rough, but coming off an emotional road win against the defending NFC Champs (T.O. situation notwithstanding, and playing arguably one of our worst games of the year on offense), then facing a relatively weak Detroit team next may just give us enough momentum and confidence to stick it to Denver in our house.
If we could get to 8-3 after that, we are going to strut into the playoffs and get a shot at avenging the last few minutes of the Seattle game.
If that happens…hello Detroit in February!!

First, the reason the Fleagles ground game worked is because the Boys stayed in the base 3-4 for nearly the entire game. The 3-4 has running lanes for an inside running game.
Next, the running game has to improve. If we want to be a threat we have to run.
Third, I live right outside Philly and you should hear the sports talk shows today. The “loyal” Fleagels fans are ready to dismantle their team and fire McNabb and Andy Ried.
Fourth, I beliove the Fleagles were exhausted at the end of the game from all their dancing during their celebrations.
Last but not least, is it a little suspicious that McNabb can moon walk on a TD but gets hurt when he blows the game. Maybe TO’s observations and comments have some merit!!

good point…interesting to think about, when things go good, hes always dancing and jumping, but when he throws a pick or gets sacked or anything, he starts limping, and acting hurt…like I say Mcfagg
