If that’s the case, our running game better get going!
I expect to see a lot of Julius Jones and Marion Barber III running behind Torrin Tucker and Larry Allen.
Go Cowboys!!!

I will miss the first 30 minutes or so but I wouldn’t mind walking into the house and finding us up by 14 already.
We need our O-line and D-line to have big games. They will be the deciding factors.

Hope that takes away Manning To Burress plays. Tough Tough game, if we’re mentally prepared we’ll win another cardiac one..

Het Cowboy Fans,
Let`s face it Dallas will not be able to establish an early running game against the Giants. The Gints rushing “D” is solid. Their passing “D” is not &is where we must attack & early.Parcells must kepp either a 2 TE or 2 running back formation. This will give Bledsoe time to throe plus either can slip off their block to receive a screen or short pass. Once Dallas starts moving the ball through the air the Giants must back off blitzing & throwing 8 in the box, then we can try to get our running game going. Our offensive line is much better geared to pass protect than run block. That being said with the Giants near the top of the NFC in rushing defense & near last in pass defense this is where we must attack.
I do not think this game will be close like most others. I see Dallas winning by 7-10 points. Once & if the Giants get behind Eli does not have enough experience to bring his team back in such a huge game. One thing I can tell you is Zimmer will give him some new looks on defense that he will not recognize. Eli will throw 2-3 picks today. It`s just the way I see it.
Dallas 27
Giants 20 ( TD coming at garbage time )

It looks like the rain and snow have let up for now….still real cold.
by Rob in NYC on Dec 4, 2005 9:28 AM CST reply actions
looks like the major part of the percipitation has passed, hopefully the field was kept covered until a couple of hours before game time, mostly calling for cloudy weather this afternoon with POP dropping thoughout the afternoon, alittle cool, but not that bad.
by Derrick on Dec 4, 2005 9:49 AM CST reply actions
Parcells makes it clear, HE WANTS NO PART OF T.O ON HIS TEAM NEXT YEAR.
by Derrick on Dec 4, 2005 10:25 AM CST reply actions
Bledsoe has had some terrific games in the snow and cold. Giants D is vulnerable to the pass.

By the way I’d feel much more confident if Anthony Henry was in there to cover the tall Burress. Glenn will struggle.

anyone know of radio streamcast… khoy has sunday services for the first half or so…
by maximus on Dec 4, 2005 11:25 AM CST reply actions
yeah Glenn will struggle just like he has the last few weeks
…oh wait, he didn’t

Hey U.S. posters,
It looks like a lot of folks outside the country are logging in to follow the game on thread. As a courtesy, can those of you watching the game just post the score and the time during commercial breaks?
by Rafael Vela on Dec 4, 2005 11:31 AM CST reply actions
Didnt he get beat ugly in that TD against Denver when the ball was in the air for about 4 hours?
by ManTab on Dec 4, 2005 11:35 AM CST reply actions
i love our chances with bledsoe in cold weather.LETS GO COWBOYS!!!!
by manster65 on Dec 4, 2005 11:40 AM CST reply actions
Cowboys Inactives: Anthony Henry, Drew Henson, Marcus Price, Thomas Johnson, Lousaka Polite, Eric Obogu, Corey Proctor.
The one name that stands out to me is Polite, with the weather and the inability to sustain and consistand run game, no fullback!! I think we’re going to sign a fullback next week.

KLUV-FM 98.7 is broadcasting so any of you guys that can’t get the game and are close enuff to get the signal from Dallas…
by sharkz on Dec 4, 2005 11:51 AM CST reply actions
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
Jimmy Johnson was just asked about Dallas’ kicking woes on FOX. He said they SHOULD NOT have fired kicking coach STEVE HOFFMAN. He’d worked with Dallas kickers for 15 years, and all he did was work with the kickers. (And he did a hell of a job too!)
Why the hell did Parcells let him go?? That made NO sense, and we’re losing games because of that decision. That call may well have cost us home field throughout the playoffs.
by rich on Dec 4, 2005 11:52 AM CST reply actions
Derrick-Where/when did Parcells say that he didn’t want TO? Are you reading into what he said about him being to old to coach jerks or was it something else?
This would be a bad game to bring Henry back in if his groin was iffy. Mushy/slick fields are very bad on groins especially one that has already been reinjured.

I’ll tell you why he canned Hoffman, Bill felt that Hoffman was a buffer between the the kicker and the head coach.Yeah, Hoffman done a great job finding obscure no name kickers, but the kicking game has been a weak spot on this team for years.
by Derrick on Dec 4, 2005 12:01 PM CST reply actions
Derrick/Rich-kicking percentage over the last 4 years 2002-63.2, 2003-74.2, 2004-76.9, 2005-76.2. I liked Hoffman but we don’t seem to have dropped off too much even with the injury.

by ManTab on Dec 4, 2005 12:18 PM CST reply actions
You’re so full of it, derrick. You’re just being contrary because you have issues with me.
If HOFFMAN were still here, the whole complection of this season would be different. The kicking game is of paramount importance if we’re gonna play Parcells’ ball-control style of offense.
Hoffman’s importance was that he produced consistent kickers. Jimmy himself said that Dallas NEVER had the kicking problems thay’ve had recently when Hoffman was there.
Without a salary cap for coaches, it was stupid to “can” Hoffman. Our recent kicking problems where we’re losing these close games PROVE that that was a horrible decision.

0-0 the score, 5 minutes to play in the irst qtr, we get the ball back at our own 31.
D playing well (they look fast). Offense looks crappy. We got three first downs vecause of penalites on the giants.
by ManTab on Dec 4, 2005 12:29 PM CST reply actions

I do agree with you.. Our Oline needs to run block a lot better in Dec or they won’t win much
by MikeA on Dec 4, 2005 12:29 PM CST reply actions
Giants are doing alot of run blitzes, stacking things up, thats why I think dallas should spread them out with some three and four wide sets, to get them out of that.
Rich, I just told you why Hoffman was let go, its a fact, he was considered a buffer between the kicker and the head coach. I have no idea what you are talking about with this socalled issues

yup, the sideline reporter on Monday night football
by Derrick on Dec 4, 2005 12:37 PM CST reply actions
the most encouraging aspect to the game is that Dallas is getting a good push rushing four guys. Canty is leading the way.
by Rafael Vela on Dec 4, 2005 12:40 PM CST reply actions
Dallas needs to stop Tiki Barber today.. he is moving the chain.. getting 4 yards or more per carry so far..
they are having way too many penalties as well

It doesn’t look like Dallas will win the time of possession battle today, which is NOT a good thing.

good drive by the giants, those penealties didn’t help us.
by Derrick on Dec 4, 2005 12:47 PM CST reply actions
I hate to say it but it looks as if we might be in trouble.
Our offensive line still stinks… and our D line didn’t get much pass rush at all this last possesion by the Giants. could be a long day.. lets get it turned around boys
by MikeA on Dec 4, 2005 12:48 PM CST reply actions
I hate to say this, but if our offense doesn’t start moving the ball, we’ll get blown out! It doesn’t look like our defense can stop the Giants offense. They are moving the ball very well on us. Agood mix of passing and running by the Giants offense. This will either be a high scoring close game, or a blow out by the Giants.
AAAAAARRRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sean Payton can call some of the best offense in some games and then some days its like he just joined the team yesterday and doesn’t know the personel. Why can’t we ever throw to Keshawn consistently or atleast try. I mean we are a decent screen team too. Why does it always have to be up the middle handoffs or drop back passes that take too much time.
by neb on Dec 4, 2005 12:57 PM CST reply actions
Forget drafting anyone on defense this year, even though we need help at LB and FS.
This offensive line is OFFENSIVE!!! No pun intended.
This game is over. The offensive line sucks too much for this team to go anywhere.
I recant my 11-5 prediction from earlier in the season. We’re looking at a 9-7 or 8-8 team. We don’t make the playoffs!
All this is because of a terrible offensive line and Bledsoe’s propensity to hang on to the ball too long and turn the ball over, either from INTs or fumbles.
by onepaniolo on Dec 4, 2005 1:00 PM CST reply actions
Ok, give it to me….I give Glenn this one (but he still sucks)
by ManTab on Dec 4, 2005 1:01 PM CST reply actions
only the D can save our face…
CAN OUR DEFENSE PLAY OFFENSE FOR US TOO?
by MikeA on Dec 4, 2005 1:01 PM CST reply actions
here we go, run, run, pass.
I’ve been saying for weeks, we aren’t going anywhere with this O-line
by Derrick on Dec 4, 2005 1:03 PM CST reply actions
So who said A Glenn is too old? This defense is THE SOLE REASON WE ARE 7-4!!! The offensive line is holding this team back big time!
How about putting Romo in there, since he’s more mobile than Bled Slow, and see if he can move the offense?
Never mind, this offensive line sucks too much! He’ll just get killed too.
by onepaniolo on Dec 4, 2005 1:04 PM CST reply actions
part of the problem is that they have to make the Giants pay for run blitzing and pass blitzing..
That is the way to beat the Cowboys..
and it is working perfectly today

Manning has all damn day to throw the ball, and our o-line can’t block on running plays for crying out loud. We’re -5 passing!!!!!! Dump the whole o-line!!!!

have no choice now, have to open up the offense now!!! We will see if that makes a difference
by Derrick on Dec 4, 2005 1:14 PM CST reply actions

Aaron Glenn is awesome! With Henry hurt, who would you rather have back there, Nate Jones?
Regardless, the o-line is the problem, not Aaron Glenn or the defense. Too bad they can’t line up on offense as well.

Preiction — We’re shutout for the first time this season. This offense is starting to look like the one we had with Ryan Leaf at QB. It sucks!!!!!!!!
by onepaniolo on Dec 4, 2005 1:25 PM CST reply actions
I expect this team to wake the hell up and get it going on the second half. The O line better get their crap together or the season is over. Is not like we can beat anybody if Bledose doesnt have more than 2 seconds to throw….and when you do, throw it well you bum, not that last $h1t you showed on that 3rd down….
by ManTab on Dec 4, 2005 1:26 PM CST reply actions
We are damn lucky to only be down 10 – 0 at halftime.. thanks to our D.

by Rafael Vela on Dec 4, 2005 1:28 PM CST reply actions
Sorry, Maurice. At least Quincy Carter was exciting!
by onepaniolo on Dec 4, 2005 1:28 PM CST reply actions
The Cowboys look tentative. They are being manhandled on the Offensive line. The play calling is atrocius. How many 1st and 20’s are we going to run the ball? The Giants defense is too good to smash mouth 5yd runs at a time.
Bledsoe is NOT making good decisions. As usual, he is hanging onto the ball too long and over-throwing receivers. And just WHAT kind of throw was that just before the half??? Bledsoe looks scared but that is only natural when you have a Giants helmet in your face just after getting the snap.
The Cowboys defensive line needs to get pressure on Manning. Its hard to throw a pass while on your back. If you get Manning under presurre, he is liable to start throwing some interceptions. By the way, great play by Aaron Glen in the end zone with the interception.
We have to get after ’em if we want to win this critical game on the road!
by Cowoby 88 on Dec 4, 2005 1:29 PM CST reply actions
With this o-line, we win only one more game this year and finish 8-8. So who will be available in next year’s draft? We need to draft 4 offensive linemen.
by onepaniolo on Dec 4, 2005 1:30 PM CST reply actions
ManTab,
That ugly throw saved an INT and any chance at winning the game. He wanted to throw to Glenn running a cross and there was a linebacker or safety there just waiting for it. He saw the guy in time and spiked it. Doesn’t mean he’s not having a bad half, but it he forces that one we’re looking at 17-0 and the game is over.
by Rafael Vela on Dec 4, 2005 1:30 PM CST reply actions
I’m tired of this unimaginative offense….JJ straight ahead for a yard and a half.
How about some shotgun formations and a hurry up offense to get the D on their heels a bit.
by DNE on Dec 4, 2005 1:30 PM CST reply actions
Sorry Raf, but with this o-line, the game IS over!
by onepaniolo on Dec 4, 2005 1:32 PM CST reply actions
I believe we get the ball in 2nd half. If we can score at least a FG, it’s a ballgame again. I’m still being positive.
by Joe Bradley on Dec 4, 2005 1:34 PM CST reply actions
Man, it is the same old story. The O line looks terrible and the D line can’t get any sacks. The Giants will now pound the ball down the defenses’ throat in the second half and use play action to sustain drives when the safeties come up.
I can’t bear to watch.
by Andy on Dec 4, 2005 1:34 PM CST reply actions
This is the worst I’ve seen out of this offense this year. Is this a sign of things to come with this o-line, or is the Giants D this good?
Probably a combination of the two, but really at this point, I think USC’s o-line is better than this bunch!
by onepaniolo on Dec 4, 2005 1:35 PM CST reply actions
Ok ready for second half action….can’t get worse can it?
by DNE on Dec 4, 2005 1:37 PM CST reply actions
Yeah, Tiki Barber is gonna own us in the second half. Giants 27, Cowboys 0
I hope I am wrong, but this offensive line does not inspire any confidence. Couple that with Drew the Statue, and it spells disaster. Emmitt Smith couldn’t run with this o-line!
by onepaniolo on Dec 4, 2005 1:38 PM CST reply actions
