With the Chiefs pass defense ranked 30th, I say we come out throwing!

by onepaniolo on Dec 11, 2005 3:14 AM CST reply actions

If you cant pass protect to in able bledsoe time to throw the ball to expose the Chiefs 30th ranked pass defense, it wont matter what its ranked, it will look like a number one ranked pass defense.

by Derrick on Dec 11, 2005 7:39 AM CST reply actions

Yeah, I know. I’m just trying to have some hope despite our woeful o-line. I’ve actually been predicting Chiefs 21, Cowboys 17 since Monday, and the mediots actually have Dallas missing the playoffs, and I have to agree with them, unless the o-line can show otherwise.

Still gotta try to throw, though, because our running game can’t get anything going behind those stiffs on the o-line. I just have no confidence with the o-line.

by onepaniolo on Dec 11, 2005 11:26 AM CST reply actions

Two observations, only one having to do with the Cowboys:

1. the Bears defense is fraying. The Packers got a lot of yards against it last week and now Pittsburgh is romping up an down the field on it;

2. I’m also watching the Colts beat Jacksonville and it occurs to me that Dallas plays the AFC South next year. Bank it — the Cowboys/Colts game will be one of the first two Monday night games, if not the first.

by Rafael Vela on Dec 11, 2005 1:06 PM CST reply actions

who are the emotional team leaders on our team? R Williams? Keyshawn?

by linus on Dec 11, 2005 1:56 PM CST reply actions

The Colts offense are going through Jacksonvilles defense like a hot knife through butter, can we just skip to the end of the superbowl and hand them the trophy, because unless manning gets injured, no one is going to beat them.

by Derrick on Dec 11, 2005 2:17 PM CST reply actions

Hi guys – now to the forum – One of the biggest Cowboys fans in the state of Louisiana – been givin’ Saints fans he** for years : )

I’ve had a week to recover from that Giants disaster and i’m PUMPED for a Cowboys win. I think (or at least hope) the Cowboys O-line is ashamed of last week’s performance…I think they’ll give all they’ve got today and leave it all on the field. My vote for emotional leader today – gotta go with Keyshawn – if he can pick up some 8-10 yarder dump passes, maybe we can catch the chiefs sleepin’ for a downfielder to t. glenn. btw – are we gonna see p. crayton out there more today? I’d like to see him come up big today…

by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Dec 11, 2005 2:32 PM CST reply actions

let me see if I have this right

Most of the Dallas media are picking KC
All of the KC media picking KC

Dallas favored by 3? Hmmmmm.

by linus on Dec 11, 2005 2:39 PM CST reply actions

Linus,
I guess the oddsmakers have been watching a different offensive line. LOL

Seriously, I think that just has to do with the homefield, especially since the Chiefs are only 3-3 on the road.

That’s a pretty funny way to look at it, though!

by onepaniolo on Dec 11, 2005 2:44 PM CST reply actions

I’m no expert, but personally I don’t see why they don’t just have bledsoe line up in the shotgun every single friggin’ play. That might not seem too smart, but when the opposing team is charging thru your line as fast as you can back pedal (NY Giants last week), what could it hurt to try it?

by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Dec 11, 2005 2:49 PM CST reply actions

I think the reason why they don’t, is because there’s no confidence in Gurode and Johnson’s ability to long-snap with consistency.

Yeah, I like the shotgun too, but not if there’s a good chance of the ball sailing over Bledsoe’s head once or twice a game. Perhaps they can place MBIII or JJ 10 yards behind Bledsoe to catch those. LOL

by onepaniolo on Dec 11, 2005 2:55 PM CST reply actions

lol – yup

that’s a good point, but jeez i just get so thoroughly sick of watching bledsoe take a snap..one step back…two steps back..(from the left u now see the opposing lineman coming into view)…and by the 3rd step u see the defensive lineman’s arms flailing – he’s already almost within reach of bledsoe…argh! desperate times call for desperate measures i say…but i guess we should give it a chance today and see if this o-line is gonna come out with some emotion before going into an all-shotgun offense

by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Dec 11, 2005 3:07 PM CST reply actions

Dallas could have drafted Texas linebacker Derrick Johnson instead of Demarcus Ware. Johnson has had a pretty stellar year for KC. Did Dallas make a good choice? Maybe game will tell

by linus on Dec 11, 2005 3:11 PM CST reply actions

Cmon Cowboys! We need this one!

by sharkz on Dec 11, 2005 3:16 PM CST reply actions

Hello people…ready for another cardiac arrest?

by ManTab on Dec 11, 2005 3:17 PM CST reply actions

Loozeeana Cowboy,

Yeah, everytime I watch a replay of the Giants game, I see how lethargic not only the o-line looks, but Bledsoe as well. It looks like slo-mo.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Romo in a game to see if his added mobility will improve things. If we lose this game and Bledsoe hands KC another gift, it may not be a bad idea at all, IMO.

by onepaniolo on Dec 11, 2005 3:18 PM CST reply actions

Hey mantab, I hope not! lol

by sharkz on Dec 11, 2005 3:19 PM CST reply actions

Yeah ManTab! I got my Alka Seltzer at the ready! LOL

by onepaniolo on Dec 11, 2005 3:19 PM CST reply actions

well we only missed three bullets on that one

by linus on Dec 11, 2005 3:19 PM CST reply actions

3 and out…KC Off not looking good on the first drive (not our D looking good, at least not yet)…let’s see what kind of adjustments we did to the O line

by ManTab on Dec 11, 2005 3:20 PM CST reply actions

apparently nothing was done to the O line

by ManTab on Dec 11, 2005 3:21 PM CST reply actions

Yeah, they came out throwing, but over-throwing Glenn was not what I had in mind!

by onepaniolo on Dec 11, 2005 3:21 PM CST reply actions

how about a roughing the passer call

by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Dec 11, 2005 3:21 PM CST reply actions

Nice punt by Thunderfoot…..

by sharkz on Dec 11, 2005 3:22 PM CST reply actions

Another third and long, cant win without positive yards on first and second downs leaving manageable yardage on third down.

by Derrick on Dec 11, 2005 3:23 PM CST reply actions

shank you very much,Mcbriar

by Derrick on Dec 11, 2005 3:26 PM CST reply actions

I thought KC looked good on both offense and defense
Watch out if this is any indication going to be a blow out

by linus on Dec 11, 2005 3:27 PM CST reply actions

KC is going to make Kennison a star today

Looks like its gonna be a long ass day!

by F.J on Dec 11, 2005 3:32 PM CST reply actions

Friends, I am from KC and I didnt believe all the KC hype But if KC keeps this up this is going to be 30-0 at half

by linus on Dec 11, 2005 3:33 PM CST reply actions

Arz Intercepted Brunell and Philly scored to tie 7-7 against the Giants….go Arz and Philly since I cant root for my own team….

by ManTab on Dec 11, 2005 3:33 PM CST reply actions

Ok, so we got scrooged by the refs. You can’t have a player out of bounds call on a punt unless he affects the play, ie touches the ball or the runner. That cost us 29 yards. 10 on penalty, 19 on the punt.

by altercall on Dec 11, 2005 3:34 PM CST reply actions

How do the oddsmakers make any money?

by linus on Dec 11, 2005 3:34 PM CST reply actions

our Deffense looks even worse than our Offense…..good job during the week coaches….

by ManTab on Dec 11, 2005 3:44 PM CST reply actions

now you can see what a good offensive line means, we can only hope we get one put together next year.

by Derrick on Dec 11, 2005 3:46 PM CST reply actions

This is what KC does best on offense they do everything

by linus on Dec 11, 2005 3:46 PM CST reply actions

GO Anthony Henry!

by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Dec 11, 2005 3:47 PM CST reply actions

Nice play Henry…….whew

by sharkz on Dec 11, 2005 3:47 PM CST reply actions

Since Flo went down and Parcells came up with that phrase “the players have to take over” this team has been slowing down…..it’s about time he get’s on their stupid lazy asses again and wake them up. O Line playing horrible again. There is no way KC is going to scoe less than 28 today…better get the offense going or our season will be over today

by ManTab on Dec 11, 2005 3:49 PM CST reply actions

Watch for alot of passing yards from Bledsoe — and alot of sacks by KC

BP has no choice but to play much more risky I dont think BP will go for ball control to keep out of hands of KC Man, every play it looks to at least 1 KC receiver running free

by linus on Dec 11, 2005 3:49 PM CST reply actions

any links out there to listen to game?

by manster65 on Dec 11, 2005 3:50 PM CST reply actions

good catch KJ

by ManTab on Dec 11, 2005 3:52 PM CST reply actions

Hell yeah keyshawn – bledsoe actally had some time on that one

by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Dec 11, 2005 3:52 PM CST reply actions

I understand Bill Cowher fines his o-linemen every time they get flagged for holding on running plays. I hope Bill Parcells does or starts to fine his linemen for this. There is NEVER a reason to hold on a first and ten or especially a second and one running play.

by Rafael Vela on Dec 11, 2005 3:53 PM CST reply actions

thanks derrick!!

by manster65 on Dec 11, 2005 3:55 PM CST reply actions

Mr. Zimmer please make some more adjustments while we have the ball

by linus on Dec 11, 2005 3:55 PM CST reply actions

Wow! Newman on offense……interesting!

by sharkz on Dec 11, 2005 3:56 PM CST reply actions

GO barber

by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Dec 11, 2005 3:57 PM CST reply actions

damn Keyshawn!!!! that’s a TD……off course Bledsoe had time cause one of the 5 ididots we have up front was holding

by ManTab on Dec 11, 2005 3:58 PM CST reply actions

Rivera!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Derrick on Dec 11, 2005 3:58 PM CST reply actions

and it was stupid Rivera again…give the ten million back you thief

by ManTab on Dec 11, 2005 3:59 PM CST reply actions

I think after these few minutes today, we can say Barber is better than Juluis or it is confirmed that Julius is still not 100%

by ManTab on Dec 11, 2005 4:00 PM CST reply actions

JJ isn’t 100%, thats clear.

by Derrick on Dec 11, 2005 4:01 PM CST reply actions

i like to see it slung down the field as much as anybody, but if the o-line is actually gonna play well enough to protect bledsoe today, then maybe they’re playing well enough to create some running holes too – if that’s the case i think the boys need to pound the ball…their best shot is to keep the ball outta’ the hands of this KC offense

by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Dec 11, 2005 4:01 PM CST reply actions

JJ isn’t 100%, thats clear.

here we go, run, run, pass again in the red zone

by Derrick on Dec 11, 2005 4:06 PM CST reply actions

yup – at least we’re on the board though

by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Dec 11, 2005 4:06 PM CST reply actions

offensive line does feel the pressure they are performing better but down side is more holding
I dont see Parcells yelling at them

by linus on Dec 11, 2005 4:08 PM CST reply actions

Derrick, either way…it definetly looks like Barber should be the one getting most of the carries. If the guy is not 100%, then sit down…

Can anyone stop Hall please? Not if like there not good enough on offense…damn

by ManTab on Dec 11, 2005 4:08 PM CST reply actions

could someone pleeze TACKLE that little weasel

by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Dec 11, 2005 4:08 PM CST reply actions

can we spell S-Q-U-I-B kick?

by linus on Dec 11, 2005 4:09 PM CST reply actions

Well, one good thing out of what’s been played, seems that Dallas won’t need to draft a TE, they have to keep Campbell, he’s looking like the blocking TE he was before his injury.

by Chandus on Dec 11, 2005 4:09 PM CST reply actions

ManTab,

Stop it. Just stop it. They’re both going to play today. And to my eyes, JJ is the faster back. It doesn’t matter. They’re both producing and they’re both gonna play. Winning or losing won’t be on their shoulders, but on the o-line, who already has three holding penalties and one sack allowed.

by Rafael Vela on Dec 11, 2005 4:09 PM CST reply actions

Nice looking O lIne on the bench…lot’s of passion on those faces too…idiots

by ManTab on Dec 11, 2005 4:11 PM CST reply actions

Raf, how do you see him being faster when the guy hasnt broken one this year…Im not saying Julius is no good….he’s on one leg!!!! he cant cut and it is obvious

by ManTab on Dec 11, 2005 4:13 PM CST reply actions

well, that was a quick drive.

by Derrick on Dec 11, 2005 4:14 PM CST reply actions

Piss-poor tackling……

by sharkz on Dec 11, 2005 4:15 PM CST reply actions

sometimes Roy misses by playing too agressive The wheels are slowly coming off

by linus on Dec 11, 2005 4:16 PM CST reply actions

ManTab:
You aren’t thinking that the OLine is blocking better when Barber is on the lineup too, right?? With those block in that Barber long run Jones would have done the same, that was a straight line!

by Chandus on Dec 11, 2005 4:17 PM CST reply actions

you wonder how KC lost to Buffalo…

by linus on Dec 11, 2005 4:18 PM CST reply actions

Cowboys needs to get in Trent Green’s face, and quit beating themselves with stupid flags.

by PissedOffFan on Dec 11, 2005 4:19 PM CST reply actions

Another penealty, gurode, how the hell can you block in the back, you idiot

by Derrick on Dec 11, 2005 4:20 PM CST reply actions

how many offensive holding penalties does that make? 4 or 5? ridiculous

by Loozeeana_Cowboy on Dec 11, 2005 4:21 PM CST reply actions

Kc lost to Buffalo because they turned the Ball over atleast 5 times in that game

by Derrick on Dec 11, 2005 4:21 PM CST reply actions

Geez. Some of these people that post piss me off more than the game. It doesn’t matter you is running as long as it is effective! The O-Line and defensive special teams are losing this game. PEROID!

Not yet, guys.

by Chandus on Dec 11, 2005 4:25 PM CST reply actions

You won’t make the playoffs with that crap and your welcome.

by PissedOffFan on Dec 11, 2005 4:31 PM CST reply actions

we have chosen to stop Johnson
Means KC T Gonzalez and wide outs will be more open

by linus on Dec 11, 2005 4:31 PM CST reply actions

I don’t think scoring 2 TD is stopping him…

by PissedOffFan on Dec 11, 2005 4:32 PM CST reply actions

PissedOffFan:
When a play is found in every playbook throughout the league that means something, it’s a play that if well executed can make things happen, it’s a trick, but is a dangerous one, had the Center of our OLine collapsed, Barber losses yardage, had Bledsoe thrown the ball short it’s an Interception and the list goes on.

by Chandus on Dec 11, 2005 4:33 PM CST reply actions

Seen Green in this comfort zone before and he’s going to eat us up unless we knock him off stride

To everybody:

I AM NOT SAYING MARION BARBER III IS A BETTER PLAYER THAN JULUIS JONES AND THAT JJ SHOULD BE TRADED…PLEASE!!!

It just seems to me (and apparnetly only me) that MB looks better today falling forward and getting extra yardage and being able to cut into holes better…most probably because JJ ankle is still screwed up!!!!
