Football Mondegreen
Okay, this relates to nothing, but it's funny and the Greg Ellis thread has been pounded to death, no thanks to me.
I'm in my office and Sinead O'Connor's "Mandinka" comes on the radio. It made me think of the popular song mondegreen books that came out a few years ago. Mondegreens are mishearings or misinterpretations of song lyrics. I think the first book was titled, "'Scuse Me While I Kiss This Guy," a mondegreen of Jimi Hendrix' "Purple Haze" line, "'scuse me while I kiss the sky."
Somewhere in the book is a mondegreen for Sinead's song. Apparently, somebody heard her refrain, "but I do know... Man-din-ka," as "but I do know.... Mike Dit-ka."
I can't hear that song any other way now.

who wins the entire 1984 Russian Weight lifting wrestling and martial art teams……..vs. Mrs. Ditka….
Mrs. Ditka!!! DA Bears!!!
The best highlight ever is Ditka taking out some idiot fan after the keystone cops chased him around for 20 minutes……Ditka nailed the guy. Imagine the lawsuit today.
To Iron Mike’s credit whenever asked about great coaches he only names Landry, Lombardi, Shula or Halas…..Ditka’s old school.
I just realized that if the Seahawks advance to the Super Bowl the NFC has no chance of winning a Super Bowl……well old school NFC anyway.
