Happy Birthday to Us

Look, Edna, the Cowboys Blog is all growed up.

Wednesday marks one year of irrational Cowboys-fandom known as Cowboys Blog. We had no comments for the first two weeks or so, until Raul worked the bugs out of the Wordpress program. Since then, we're been a slouching juggernaut -- almost 7.5 million hits and over 500,000 visitors later we're just hitting our stride.

Thanks to everyone to has participated and a friendly invitation to those who are lurking. Join the fun and tell some friends.

Congratulations Rafael and Raul!!

I was wondering when the exact date was because I started tuning in right before the draft last year.

This site is just hitting its stride with a lot more to come I’m sure, and I hope all the lurkers do as everyone else who posts did (including myself) and contributes to the discussion.

Hey Rafael…if (when) the Cowboys make the Super Bowl in the next 2 years, I hope some very large Super Bowl parties can be planned through you and Raul’s creation!!

Felicidades!

I’ve also been writing and reading for almost a year, since I found this site before the Draft.

Good discusions, good arguments, good change of minds and good scuffles… Cheers, AW.

Hi Everybody!

Has it been a year already? Huevos Bledsoes for Everyone!

Oiler Troll appreciates having something to celebrate since the Friggin’ Steelers won the Super Bowl…by default. The Cowboys could have beaten that team.

Seriously, congratulations, this place is great and the knowledge pondered here truly does make the great game all the more interesting. You guys make it fun.

And now if you will please excuse Olier Troll who must go stuff the Al del Greco of the year award up Vanderjagt’s nose for making this year’s Super Bowl unwatchable…

OT

Congratulations to you both and to all the comment contributors. I really enjoy reading this blog. Have another great year.

Congratulations and keep up the good work. Found this site at training camp and have cheched in almost everyday since. Best information on Dallas on the web. Best information and debates by the posters who seem to have good points and debates without resorting to insults, a minor miracle when considering we are talking about football as alot of other football debates on the net end (or start) with insults.

If we get a OLB in FA or the Draft could Al Singleton move inside to provide experience and depth to the James/Burnett/Shanle trio.

I’ve been a fan of y’all for quite some time.

I missed the old site, but am truly impressed with what you’ve done here.

Any chance of reviving the old news & info site?

by Fighter15 on Feb 22, 2006 6:17 AM CST reply actions

Fighter15:

The posts from here show up on the old site. Also, during the season, the game numbers, stats, schedule, etc., is updated as well. It’s just that since blogging has become so popular and so “real-time”, most of the effort has gone into this site.

Again, not to say that there’s no work on the other site – it is during the season. But it’s more numbers and stats, as opposed to the insight and opinion (excellent as it is) that is provided here.

Gratz,
I love this blog, by far my favorite sports site.

Happy Birthday and thanks for providing such a fantastic site. I started reading in training camp last year, but just started writing recently. You guys have provided a great place to find out the latest.

Thanks also to all the bloggers out there as well. I love reading everyone’s opinions on so many topics. I look forward to agreeing and disagreeing with all of you at some point this coming year. That’s part of the fun though isn’t it? Here’s to a great offseason!

Congratulations and thank you for managing such an informative site. I’ve been reading your blog since training camp (I hope you’ll attend this year) and the analysis is first rate. I also enjoy reading everyone’s insightful comments and the open thread is great fun. Cheers!

Congrats and Happy Birthday. I have been a Cowboy fan for what seems like and enternity and I have learned more about the team this past year through your blog than I did the last 30 years. It is great to have a place to go and discuss something that each of us loves (our cowboys). Looking forward to year two.
