Parcells says 48 slots already filled

Parcells has acknowledged he could already fill about 48 of the 53 roster spots that must be set by September 2nd.

So I took my shot at the 48 that I think Parcells has already has set in his mind.

QB Bledsoe, Romo, Henson
RB Jones, Barber, Thompson
WR Owens, Glenn, Crayton, Green
OL Adams, Kosier, Gurode, Rivera, Colombo, Petitti, Johnson, Fabini
TE Witten, Fasano, Hannam, Polite
DL Spears, Ferguson, Canty, Ratliff, Johnson, Hatcher
LB Ware, James, Ayodele, Ellis, Burnett, Fowler, Carpenter, Singleton, Boiman
DB Newman, Henry, Williams, Davis, Glenn, Reeves, Watkins, Pile
K McBriar, Vanderjagt
LS Laduceour

What do you guys think? What picks would you change?

Good job
I would add Glymph and subtract Pile from the 48, right now, but thats about the only thing. If we don't keep Shanle, I wonder if we'd be able to get in trade, either a pick, or another guard (we seem really thin there)?

Good job
I hope i'm wrong, but I wouldn't say Skyler is a lock yet based off what Parcells said the other day.  He isn't going to make it was a WR so he better make it as a PR.

With our lack of depth at WR that is disappointing.

That seems about right to me, although...
I think Thompson, Green, Fabini, Polite, and Pile are all bubble players.

Top 48 for me!
If Pierce had not gotten injured, I think Polite would have been on the bubble too, but I think he's got an inside track now.  Could possibly loose another spot to another kicker, but right now I'm hoping Vandy can do it.  I do believe that Coleman and Fabini are both gone.  Too many young players stepping up and better than expected at those positions.

QB Bledsoe,Romo,Henson

TE  Witten, Fasano, Hannam, Polite
WR  Owens, Glenn, Crayton, Green
OL  Adams, Koze, Gurode, Rivera, Colombo, Petitti,      Johnson, McQuistan
DL  Fergie, Canty, Spears, Ellis, Hatcher, Stanley
LB  Ware, James, Ayodele, Carpenter, Singleton, Boiman, Burnett, Glymph

Here's my take
My sure things on offense pretty much mirror yours.  I am thinking that Fabini is coming around, and with tackle still shaky with Flo not being near 100% he is insurance that we just can't give up on.

I think Copper and Hurd are fighting for the 5th WR spot, and it will come down to whether Hurd can do anything on ST.

Curtis could sneak in as the 4th TE.  Even if does, I think we keep Polite.  One of the TE's will be inactive on game day.

On D, I think Singleton could face the ax, with Glymph being in the mix.

Coleman probably is a lock for the squad, since he can play safety and corner.

Beriault may be on the IR again if his knee isn't ready, very disappointing.

Bubble Players:
With Columbo and Petiti both playing much better than Fabini, I think Fabini will get the axe.  I believed all along that the only reason Fabini was brought in was to backup both the RT and LT positions and not to be a starter unless Petiti wasn't improving or we had an injury.  It appears that Columbo is so much better than expected, that he will likely start at the RT position.  Petiti did have a solid off season and has played pretty well himself.  With Petiti having lots of experience at the LT position and getting early snaps with the first team while FLO continues to work his way back from injury, I believe Petiti is now the favorite to become the best swing man at both the RT and LT positions.  Unless we see Fabini really come on, I think his spot will go to McQ who is playing better than expected.

Coleman is in a similar situation.  Young players are playing well and Watkins will likely get the starting snaps in the Nickle.  Davis plays well outside of our Nickle defense and Reeves and Jones both have ability to play corner and safety.

I agree with on the Singleton issue.  With Ellis taking OLB snaps, Glymph be better than expected with better 3-4 OLB skills and tons of potential, and with Carpenter waiting in the wings to take over, it is time for Singleton to get the axe.  I do think Parcells is biased towards him a little though, so he might hang on to him for one more year.  I know some fans talk about how we struggled to stop the run some last year then Singleton went down, but we are MUCH deeper and more talented at the OLB position this year than last, so I don't see the same problem developing even with a couple injuries.

Don't Forget...
Bubble players like Glymph and Hurd could very well be placed on the practice squad (assuming they clear waivers).

Don't forget about Jamaica Rector.  Copper has had two years, and hasn't shown much.  TO, Glenn, Crayton, Rector and Green with Hurd on the practice squad seems more likely.  So much will depend on special teams play, and Rector could factor into the return game.  With Rector, Crayton, Thompson and Newman, Skyler needs to be head and shoulders above the others to make the team.

Injuries will certainly play a factor as we near final cut down dates.

We should see five (5) TE's (including Polite) on the final roster with our somewhat new two TE offense.  I would not be surprised to see Curtis make it.

Glymph and Fowler?
Nine Lb's? Are you high?

You have on the spot eyes
So I don't agrue with your list. The one that surprises me though is Hurd missing. I do think we need another receiver besides Copper and Green is ST for now if he makes the squad. That will depend on the practice games since that is where he will shine or not.
