Crayton's mouth
I'm a little on the fence when it comes to all of Patrick Crayton's recent talk. One on hand, I love talking smack in my fantasy league, and I love the fact that we are good enough that trash talk can actually be worth something. There is a certain swagger that comes with backing up your talk consistently. Crayton's Superbowl prediction seems to be ok mainly because it doesn't really provide much "bulletin board" material for any one team. However, I am always a little bit weary about going after specific teams.
I know we should definitely run over the Vikings this weekend, but saying that you feel sorry for the Vikings for having to deal with us after this pats game can provide some material to a team that is much better than the Buffalo Bills. He also said on the DFW sports beat on FSN "...you might as well call us the Purple People Eaters on Sunday."

Like I said, I love trash talk, especially when you can back it up. However, providing bulletin board material to a team with a player that just racked up 330 yards in one game can sometimes prove costly. The offense isn't going to have a problem with the Vikings, I just hope the defense can back up Crayton's talk because I'm pretty sure 84 isn't going to line up on the opposite side of the ball.

Yes it is brash
and in it way it makes Crayton look ridiculous, but we need this kind of fire in the belly if we are going to keep on winning games.

Patrick Crayton
has been my pet cat from his rookie signing. This side of him is recently emergent. Perhaps as he is starting in Glenn's absence he can open up more. I will say that Crayton backs up his statements. We need that fire on this team and his is not empty bravado.

Look, if we can't beat Minnesota
then we won't come close to going to the SB.
Crayton is just upset because we lost to the Pats, he'll back up his words as everyone else on the team will.

If we can go light up the vikes
than it looks great. I did like his trash talking about the Pats because they bring so much of it on themselves. So far, the boys have been backing it up but you are right, this can come back to bite them in the azz.

Back to the "T.O. is a pod person" theory...
Maybe Owens and Crayton's brains got switched some time during the offseason. LOL

Not a Big Deal
If Crayton played for another team, then, yes, you'd hate to see him say these things.
But since he's a Cowboy it doesn't matter. Here's why:
Look back at the Bills game. No Cowboys said anything bulletin-board worthy, and the Bills came out like it was the darn Super Bowl. Same against the Patriots. We say nothing, and the other team still treats it like a huge game (even though the Patriots denied this repeatedly in public...their post-game celebration betrays them...)
You see, every team gets up to play the Cowboys, especially when we're leading the conference. Every team gets fired up special for us, regardless of what we say or don't say.
That being the case, I like it that someone's fired up enough on our side to talk some smack finally.

thats true
we're pretty much everyone's SB, especially the bad teams.
I don't mind what Crayton said, probably because its the truth. NE's defense isn't really that good. Their LB's are slow and old and their secondary isn't any better than ours.
Right now they are playing in the so called "zone" and I highly doubt they can sustain that high level of excellence completely throughout the season.

Interesting thing about Crayton
Even though Fantasy Football has nothing to do with the regular season or how players should be judged, I found this out recently:
Crayton is the number 9 fantasy receiver in most scoring systems.
we know he has sure hands, even though he has more drops this season. Obviously you can attribute that to his bigger involvement in the offense. I like him talking more. I think he can get better and better each week.
