Chargers coming to Dallas?

Ok, this is completly rumor, but Profootballtalk is reporting that the Chargers game on Sunday is most likely going to move.

profootballtalk.com

Star-divide

The possible places to move would be Arizona, Los Angeles Colliseum, and TEXAS STADIUM!

I'm not a big Chargers fan, but I would love to see LT play in person.

Also, the site goes on to say that tickets could be free and donations would be accepted.  Although I doubt Jerry would let it happen for free, the site says that something similar happened in 2003 and tickets were free.

I know a lot of you guys hate profootballtalk but I'm pretty pumped about this.

If you guys get any new info, post it!

I dont think

Jerry would have a choice. If Goodell says they will play at Texas Stadium that's it. Plus, he may not fight him on this since he is allowing Tank to practice with the team.

Why wouldn't he?
What possible reason would Jones have for not allowing this game to be played at Texas Stadium? That would definitely give him some bad publicity.

Tagliabue made the decision to move the Saints first "home" game a few years ago to Giants Stadium due to Katrina.

There aren't many options here.

A lot of people think I'm stuck up. Pretty much that I'm arrogant. I only do that when I'm on the field.

Agreed

But apparently the Phoenix stadium is booked this weekend, so if necessary it could happen. It seems also to make more sense to move the game to Houston since San Diego is playing Houston.

Uhhh..yeah he can
He is the commissoner. It would also be foolish to fight him on that. Who cares anyway we are on a bye...

I'm crossing my fingers!

this would be the perfect thing to pass the time in the bye week.

However, my prayers go out to everyone in Cali.  It seems like the wildfires keep getting worse.

Last time was in Phoenix and that makes far more

sense for SD fans to travel than Dallas. Arizona has a bye also so there would be no apparent schedule conflict.

NFL.com has a video

up in which Adam Schefter reports that Cardinal's stadium is booked already and they could play in Tempe (Arizona State) or the Collisium in LA or in Dallas. The San Diego team is practicing in Phoenix.

It'd be awesome....

if they came to play at Texas Stadium.  I think that you would get a good turnout regardless since Dallas is crazy about football, but I think there's another thing to consider:

How many Dallas fans do you think would be rooting for San Diego (an AFC West team that we don't play) against Houston just because Dallasites don't really like Houstonians?  It's like holding a Yankees-Mets game in Boston.  Well, same concept anyways, just less fervor.

Seems like San Diego would have a much better "home field" crowd at Texas Stadium than in AZ.
