New Football Outsider's D-Ware article

Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware belongs somewhere near the top of the list of the world’s most freakish athletes, the people who can do things that no human being is supposed to be able to do.

Can an article start any better than that?  Footballoutsiders.com's Every Play Counts: DeMarcus Ware is a virtual complete love fest for Ware watching him on every snap against the Vikings.

... here’s another piece of advice for opposing coaches everywhere: Plays that require a running back to block Ware one-on-one are a bad idea.

Definitely required reading to get a Grizz like film review of Ware.

great find!

Thanks for posting - interesting that the author says he's impressed with him but not as much as last year.

One of the comments underneath the article brought up something interesting... and that was having Ware covering a WR.  Now randy moss was the one specifically mentioned and though that may be far-fetched, i recall reading something about Adalius Thomas lining up to cover Chad Johnson (or some other headliner WR).  The article mentioned Thomas basically chucking that WR to the ground both times and that was the end of their pass route.

I'm sure we've all been pleased and amazed to see Ware used in different ways this year, but this would be intriguing.  I remember Ware doing something similar last year but that was close to the goal-line rather than upfield in open space and I don't recall who it was that he chucked - was it against the Colts?

Good article

The defense moves Ware and Ellis around a bunch so that it is harder to double team them. I had though Coach Phillips had said Ware would be pass rushing on every passing play but according to this article he is in coverage as well. The comments are interesting for the article because this is a fairly sophisticated readership group and are tough to smoke. I think it is fair to say Ware has been noticed and is getting his due credit around the league.
