Score Predictions?

My friends and I always go around before the game and give out score predictions.

Although I rarely remember what they pick, or even what I pick, it's always fun to see what everyone else is thinking.

Star-divide

I'm saying 41-13 Cowboys

What's your score prediction for Monday night?

Hmm

I think the defense continues to get better and pitches a shutout. 35-0.

by Tristan on Oct 4, 2007 6:30 PM CDT reply actions

I think

due to our defense's increasingly better performance, they will limit the Bills to little or almost, no points.

48-3. and T.O. gets 3 on MNF.

My popcorn's ready!

Cowboys blows out Bills

45-10, Romo 350 yds, 4 TDs

I'd be disappointed

if the cowboys aren't up by atleast 17 points by halftime. Your defense better look good when you play the 29th ranked offense in the RAMS, the 30th rated offense in the BEARS and now the 31st ranked offense in the BILLS in the league. The real test for the Cowboys as a team comes against the Patriots, who have the second rated offense in yards, a defense that's fifth in least points allowed, and first in least yards allowed.

The cowboys should run over the Bills like a freight train, who might, as of game time have seven starters out on defense, IT BETTER BE NO CONTEST!!!!

Cowboys 37  bills 6

None

I haven't predicted all year and I usually participate in the prediction thing. I am doing nothing to jinx this season.

Redskin & Eagles fans are like slinkies........not much good for anything but they still put a smile on your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

It's either gonna be...

Cowboys 52 - Bills 17

or

Cowboys 30 - Bills 13

... ring a bell?  Our two SuperBowl wins over the Bills... I'll take either one.

The Cowboys face a very real "trap game" here, but respond with yet another demonstration of how good Romo is... and how good our defense can be with Newman and Ellis on the field.

Okay, I'll take 52 - 13, as the Cowboys Offense shows up early and often.

This will be a route.....42-13
way too many injured Bills to contend...our secondary is banged up as well...missing Henry, Newman still hobbled, Bills may break a few big plays...I see their running game being stiffled, will fall behind early, cuz I see our O scoring early and often..... 28-3 halftime...I am a professional gambler with an unheard of 80% winning percentage the past 4 seasons... and will give you a free play. Dallas minus 10 at Buffalo...I can't believe this spread......easy money..

Dallas wins

but not by that much

Boys - 28
Bills - 14

Grrr

This thread is loaded with bad juju and negative karma. I'm going to predict the Bills winning 20-17 just to balance things out.

Now, I want everyone here to kock on wood and don't stop until after Monday night.

you worry too much dunk

if this were the Cowboys of the previous 10 years, I'd say yeah, you're right, but these Cowboys are different, this is going to be a special season, and that means we're not going to come close to losing to the Bills.

I want to believe

I really do.

But for now I need to stop the bleeding on my knuckles, I'm starting to get light headed...

scounts Inc's take on the game

Scouts' Edge
Dallas looks like a complete team that is clicking on all cylinders, while Buffalo is a young team showing flashes of improvement but is not yet a finished product. The Cowboys are getting a Pro Bowl year from Romo and he has a great group of targets in the passing game and he gets the ball to all of them. He also has a balanced running game behind a massive offensive line and the offense can adjust to any game plan. Dallas is facing an athletic but undersized Buffalo defense that can be pushed around against the run and the back seven lacks depth, and they just don't match up when the Cowboys spread the field.

On the flip side, the Bills' coaching staff is doing a nice job of reducing their playbook for Edwards and letting him make some easy reads. They are also getting the ball into Lynch's hands to take some pressure off Edwards, but this Dallas defense can apply pressure from a lot of directions. Look for the Cowboys to come out with a wide-open passing attack to build an early lead before they start pounding the ball with their 1-2 punch of RBs Julius Jones and Marion Barber to wear down the Buffalo defense. The Bills will play hard, but they are outmatched in this game.

Prediction: Cowboys 35, Bills 13

Game prediction

I have always predicted closer games than the final score turned out to be.

This time, I am going with the flow.

Cowboys 34
Bills   14   (one easy touchdown and one they earn kind-of)

Wildcard prediction

One of our touchdowns is made by Anthony Fasano or Tyson Thompson.

You heard it here first folks.  Write it DOWN!

Go Cowboys!

Fluke prediction

Cowboys win big, but one of these happens:

  1. Ratliff returns a fumble 85 yards for six.
  1. McBriar runs for two yards on a fake punt on 4th and 1.
  1. McQuistan catches a TD pass on a tackle-eligible play at the goal line.
  1. Nate Jones has three picks and 180 yards on the returns, but no TD's. Gets stopped inside the 5 on all three.

Cowboys win

the boys will be up 14-3 at halftime and will win 35-10

The Football Gods

Don't smile at all this hubris.  If it weren't for dunkman, they would curse us with a 17-13 upset loss and a six game injury to Romo.

Humility is rewarded, hubris is punished.

Prediction

We win 20-19 after Buffalo misses a field goal wide right on the last play.

Is that too harsh?  I wasn't scared about this game until I read these posts.

by grapejoos on Oct 6, 2007 2:51 PM CDT reply actions

Hard

Hard to decide.

They'll be up 37-3 after 3 QTRs and call off the dogs.

Dallas 44-13, but only because the D will score a TD in the 4th QTR against the rookie QB followed by a big return by the Bills and their Rook RB getting a score in garbage time.
