So you want to beat the Pats?
At the end of last night's MNF triumph, I noticed that the boys looked tired, sweaty, and exausted. They had worked harder than they have ever had to work so far this year, and it definitely took their toll. I saw guys like Terrance Newman, who would normally have been able to return that INT for an easy TD -- run out of gas, and slow down.
With the Pats coming next week -- This tough game against Buffalo couldn't have come at a better time! Our guys needed an opportunity to step up their conditioning, and work harder -- and that's what this game brought.
If they could come back from such tremendous adversity last night to beat the Bills, then anything is possible.

Pats are beatable
Brady with time is superman, Brady getting hit is human. Moss running free is superman, Moss getting clocked a few times can bring him back to earth. We have to remind both of them that football is a contact sport. In the games I have seen I doubt Brady even washes his uniform afterwards because it is spotless.
Should be a hell of a game!

You Gotta Believe
The Pats are vulnerable IF you can get to Brady, IF you give Romo time to exploit their secondary, and IF Romo makes the right choices. Those are all big ifs but you gotta believe. I believe that adversity reveals character and that mistakes will be made, its all in if you learn from and overcome mistakes not if you make them. Look at Jerry Jones, he made a ton of mistakes when he bought this team but is now considered by many to be one of the best owners in the NFL. the bottom line is that we can only find out what this team is made of by watching how they respond to this game and to keep believing. Oh and isn't it great that we're all talking about how bad Romo played and yet the Boys are 5-0.

Newman
was unable to break away because remember, he has Plantar faciatis and patella tendinitis. These things didn't just go away.
However, he played with some fire in his game. It was nice to see.

Right now I am not worried about the Pats
I am concerned for the boys. IF last night was a crazy fluke of a game, no problem. But last year we lost big to New Orleans, then lost big to Philly, then to Detroit etc. They have to put this game behind them and play flawless football against the pats. That is our only shot at winning.

Cautious Optimism
I want the Cowboys to win this game more than anything. But I will not predict a victory. I won't predict anything. There's just so many unknown variables to consider. How will the offense rebound after their profoundly inept performance against the Bills? Will Romo cut down the number of bad throws? Will Owens catch the ones that are thrown to him? Will the running game rebound and be effective like it was the first four weeks?
Honestly, I'm not too worried about the Defense anymore. Last night was a complete reversal from last season. It used to be that the D would fall apart and force the Offense to play catch-up.
If nothing else, I'm glad we won against the Bills. Even if we lose against the Patriots, we'll only be 5-1 and still comfortably in the NFC East driver's seat. That's a lot better than being 4-2.

If Romo doesn't throw multiple picks
we'll win the game. The Pats aren't as good as everyone thinks they are.

Why aren't they as good as we think they are?
