Star of stage and screen
Tony Curtis!
Tony Romo
Bad for the heart. Great for the scoreboard.
3 straight games with opening drive TDs
indeed
I'm loving it
this one has started out great.now we need to shut down the gints
Penalties!!
Yuck
This is ridiculous
Brandon Jacobs
Roy needs to blow up this asswipe.
by Longhorn @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 3:36 PM CST reply actions
He needs to worry about Shockey
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 3:37 PM CST up reply actions
Roy on Shockey...yikes
WHY ?!?!
WHY ARE WE LEAVING ROY WILLIAMS OUT WIDE ON SHOCKEY!?!?!
It doesn't make sense.
The thing about Roy is he can cover
WHEN he wants to. And he has been doing well as of late, and believe me I am not the biggest Roy supporter. I think his problem is his dedication to the game.
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 3:38 PM CST up reply actions
the Giants are playing a spread offense
the strong safety covers the tightend, who do you want him to cover?
Either a zone
or give him help. How many times has Shockey burned him?
PS-The Giants talk a lot of trash and it's starting to piss me off.

roy
Wasn't bad coverage by roy just a good outside throw
by warcowboy on Nov 11, 2007 3:42 PM CST reply actions
True...
but if they continue to do line up that way, I don't forsee good things.

McBriar is still our punter right?
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 3:43 PM CST reply actions

was that partially blocked?
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 3:43 PM CST reply actions
And this is why...
the Giants headed up my 'most hated' list...

Yes. late hit!
our running offense
hmm, not lookign so good so far
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 3:49 PM CST reply actions
he shouldn't have caught that
should have just knocked it down
Romo has got to start
just launching those out of bounds
by Pete on Nov 11, 2007 3:51 PM CST reply actions
ever heard
throwing at his feet?
by Longhorn @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 3:53 PM CST up reply actions

Oh no Romo
Romo
needs to quit doing that crap. It's getting old...
by Longhorn @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 4:04 PM CST reply actions
Prediction
this becomes the most frustrating game of 2007.
by Pete on Nov 11, 2007 4:04 PM CST reply actions
its almost there now
stupid penalties and a Quarterback trying to force plays instead of taking what the defense gives you
you dont win in this league consistantly
throwing the ball into places you have no business throwing it, thats just stupid!!! Its not the bad with the good
Tank got blown up on that play
That's what NT's do
take on double teams and hold the line.
by Dave Halprin on Nov 11, 2007 4:11 PM CST up reply actions
Tank, what up? Stop that.
romo's int
killing the D. they have been out there way too long
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 4:10 PM CST reply actions
don't know what game you are watching
its 15 to 8 right now
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 4:13 PM CST up reply actions
i miseread the original reply
i didn't realize he was agreeing with me
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 4:19 PM CST up reply actions
yup, defense akes a big stand
gets a sack, and out QB gives the ball right back to them. Now they are on the verge of going ahead, that INT is a game changing play
Jesus, here we go
getting all these Giants' fans hopes up again. :)
by Pete on Nov 11, 2007 4:14 PM CST reply actions
Ouch
That hurt, Romo needs to make amends.
ball control offense
kind of wish we had one of those. our o-line is completely sucking at run blocking right now
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 4:17 PM CST reply actions
time for tony to do something
positive...at least march down the field and give the defense a rest
poorly advised throw
off the back foot with no zip on the ball into double coverage with a safety over the top cost us seven points and the lead, mistake you cant make on the road against a divisional foe
Too many blogging simpletons
Romo did let the Giants score 2 tds.
by HSO on Nov 11, 2007 4:21 PM CST reply actions
And the crowd gets louder and louder...
and the Aikman/Giants lovefest continues.
by Pete on Nov 11, 2007 4:22 PM CST reply actions
again
3 and out. our defenes won't be able to handle this
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 4:23 PM CST reply actions
I am!!
here is what I was talking about, if the Giants go down the field and score, they get the ball to start the second half, if they score there, the game is out of reach.
That was a big sack by Canty and now by spencer
and it was important
to stop that drive so get the defense off the field and give them some rest
yeah
even if the giants score a touchdown, its still a 2 score game
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 4:26 PM CST up reply actions
must have been good coverage
to get that sack. williams is doing okay on some plays
no one
said this was going to be easy and we are only down by 4 on the road to a division rival
by warcowboy on Nov 11, 2007 4:26 PM CST reply actions
Nice Spencer
alright!
I'm liking the looks of this. getting pressure on manning and good field position for the final 2 mins
last three plays
all get shutdown in the backfield. Gotta like this Phillips 34
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 4:27 PM CST reply actions
Tony always gets us points going into halfs...
just you watch
by HSO on Nov 11, 2007 4:27 PM CST reply actions
Sweeeet
Romo redemption to the max. Nice job #9.
WHAT WAS THAT
move with the ball, Patrick?
Don't scare me like that!!!
by Pete on Nov 11, 2007 4:35 PM CST reply actions
I like the placement in the endzone
but i'd prefer he hold it better on the way in
come on troy
where is the love for Romo, maybe your jealous he is getting hotter girls than you did ha ha jk
by warcowboy on Nov 11, 2007 4:36 PM CST reply actions
Bittersweet Crayton
Great job catching and running and scoring the TD.
Near blunder in doing the stupid, slow-down, place= the-ball-just-past-the-plane-of-da-goal line.
He needs to just do his job and stop screwin' around!!!
Anyway, way to go Cowboys!!!
mickey's brother steve
has to go back to the drawing board
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 4:36 PM CST reply actions
Horrible first half for the Cowboys
beside the first and last drives of the half, the offense has done notihing, with a poor advised pass and too many penalties and the defense has been on the field far too much
on the road, against the giants
we are winning Deke. I vote Deke off the island.
by HSO on Nov 11, 2007 4:38 PM CST up reply actions
Kevin Burnett
is an idiot
WHAT THE EFF IS KB DOING??
????
by Longhorn @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 4:40 PM CST reply actions
first of all
burnett's an idiot but thats a bad call too this is an division game and there is taunting going on during every play
by warcowboy on Nov 11, 2007 4:40 PM CST reply actions
We'll take care of that
at halftime.
My call - Giants get 10 more points for the entire rest of the game. We get 24.
by Pete on Nov 11, 2007 4:42 PM CST up reply actions
And the defense better score at least ten of them
Unacceptable in a game like this to be giving away points on offsides and taunting penalties.
by Big D Bam Bam on Nov 11, 2007 4:44 PM CST up reply actions
Bonehead Burnett!
Go ahead Troy...
go down there at halftime and make sure you get that tongue all the way up there...
by Pete on Nov 11, 2007 4:41 PM CST reply actions
seriously though
if that coiunts as taunting, then it should be called pretty much every play of the game. what was so bad about that play?
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 4:42 PM CST reply actions
alright
i'm sick of your holier than thou i know more than you attitude. I'm pretty sure you are 10 years younger than me and i've forgotten more football than you've seen.
that wasn't taunting, or sam madison has been taunting TO the whole game
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 4:45 PM CST up reply actions
C'mon he was standing over the guy
Yelling in his face. That's pretty clearly taunting.
I agree Madison is jawing a lot out there too.
by APerfectStar on Nov 11, 2007 4:46 PM CST up reply actions
yelling in his face?
that can't be taunting. if it was the fact that he was standing over the guy, then yeah, he was taunting, except for wide receivers and running backs, MLB's and CB's do that all the time.
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 4:48 PM CST up reply actions
That's what made it taunting
Standing over a guy laying on the ground, but the yelling in his face didn't help. It was just a dumb play by Burnett, dumb, dumb, dumb.
by APerfectStar on Nov 11, 2007 4:51 PM CST up reply actions
Standing over a player
that is laying prone on the ground and sticking your helmet in his face not once, but twice, and yelling at him has been called taunting all year long. Seen it in a number of games.
by Dave Halprin on Nov 11, 2007 4:47 PM CST up reply actions
GD!!!!
Stupid ass Burnett. What the hell was he doing out there. What a wasted opportunity for us to take the lead into the half. Unbelievable!!!!
We get so many penalties this is ridiculous
it needs to stop
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 4:42 PM CST reply actions
The only thing keeping the Gints in the game
Are the damn penalties.
by APerfectStar on Nov 11, 2007 4:44 PM CST up reply actions
Giants have three first downs by penalties
they are clicking at a 50% RATE ON THRID DOWNS, we are at 0% ON THIRD DOWNS, the giants controlled the clock for 18:46 minutes already to our 11:14.
Jimmy we had just as many penalties under Parcell
get your head out of you @$$
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 4:48 PM CST reply actions
yeah, that maybe true
my point is in big games, we continue to makes stupid mistakes with dumb penalties and poor ill advised throws that keep other teams hanging around in games like the Giants that we should be beating, a complete stupid play by Burnett just gives the Giants more confidence that they can compete and win games against the cowboys.
Statisticall Pretty Even First Half
Dallas has 135 net yards, Giants 126.
Turnovers are even at one apiece.
I was holding my breath during that Romo mini-meltdown with the fumble and int, but hopefully the drive at the end was a sign of things to come in the second half.
what the hell can you do in the nfl
some of the penalties called in this game again are absolutely horrible. the personal foul on the first giant drive was a joke & this taunting is ridiculous. players do that all the time. they call it emotion. what are players supposed to do if they make a nice play or hit on someone. just run back to the huddle like a good little boy.
by cjr126 on Nov 11, 2007 4:54 PM CST reply actions
nice Burnett tackle
he made a good tackle on shockey to force the 3-and-out there, made up a tiny bit for his boneheaded move
Then you do something like that
And totally redeem yourself!
haha
great dumb and dumber reference!
but, he has to score points to completely redeem himself
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 5:02 PM CST up reply actions
After another bone head 15 yard penalty by Davis
The defense got a stop.
Lets hope for a nice clock consuming touchdown drive to start the second half.
okay, here's where we start to roll them
Romo got a good rhythm going with that last drive, now let's see that third quarter magic!
romo rhythm
gets screwed up if we can't run the all and are looking at 3rd and 8
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 5:03 PM CST reply actions
we got the run going so far
well, not the play, but at least the first 2

some weird tv producing
they keep calling tv timeouts anticipating a player injury but the player is jogging off the field when they go to commercial
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 11, 2007 5:10 PM CST reply actions
Since when
did they start putting little Captain 'C's on the uni's?
Or is that just the Giants doing that?
by Pete on Nov 11, 2007 5:11 PM CST reply actions
TO baby!
Romo's getting good protection. Our O-line is doing a good job against their much touted rush.
Oh man...
I didn't appreciate how fast Owens was until I've watched him run that play a few times this season...
by Pete on Nov 11, 2007 5:13 PM CST reply actions
Nice Rhythm on that drive
Keep that up with our 3rd qtr magic and we're in good shape.

That was all him. pushes madison aside like he's not even there and runs right past him. its great when you have a WR that creates.
just ask brady

a touchdown
no penalties, nice long drive, taking time off the clock and converting 3 for 3 on third down. Thats what I like to see.
The O's been pretty good with penalties today
now the D has to follow suit.

every time we score we just give it right back
why can't this defense man-up after we have a great drive to score & take the lead. i can't believe that we are the only team that can't play well against eli manning.

Great game whe are still showing where the team to beat in the NFC. Don't look know but Green Bay is looking over our shoulder. One game at a time we will see them later in the year.
