Romo, T.O., Witten, Gurode and Ware
Davis, McBriar, Folk, James, Flo, Williams and T Newman all have a shot as well.
The very reason why the probowl is a joke
Just a reminder to all to go and vote for your favorite Cowboys for the Pro Bowl
this is the kind of statement and reason why fans shouldn't have any part in probowl voting.
Oh Deke,
don't rain on our parade. It's all in good fun and we like voting for Cowboys. ;-)

Now Dave, If that Parade you're talking about
takes place around the first week of Febuary in Dallas, I'm all for signing up and voting for that, that would be a parade, a SUPER parade!!!!.
Here's what the DMN says
Well, the fans are certainly speaking their mind. According to the up-to-date vote on the NFL's Web site, 10 Cowboys lead their positions in the fan vote, and Tony Romo is not the leader at quarterback. That's Green Bay's Brett Favre.
Here's a look at the votes:
Wide receiver - Terrell Owens, 255,490
Tight end - Jason Witten, 238,528
Tackle - Flozell Adams, 138,986
Guard - Leonard Davis, 124,316
Center - Andre Gurode, 121,462
Kicker - Nick Folk, 107,372
Outside linebacker - DeMarcus Ware, 151,589
Strong safety - Roy Williams, 108,450
Punter - Mat McBriar, 85,609
Special teams - Keith Davis, 70,490
TO
lets just hope TO and Newman don't get screwed out of a pro-bowl again this year!
The reason fans get to vote
is because we pay for this sport. The Pro Bowl is not All-Pro recognition. It is recognition that the fans and players and coaches respect these players more than others. The game is a joke and likely always will be - a good time in the sun.
So I don't get worked up about who should or shouldn't get in. And I voted for those players (Cowboys and others) that I most respected. When in doubt our player got the nod. When clearly another player is better this year they get my vote.
Yes, a Joke
Lee, you're dead on: the pro bowl is a joke and likely always will be. It is a popularity contest, plain and simple. I have no trouble at all with the concept, I just detest it when
(1) people use 'made the pro bowl' in an attempt to further their argument that some player is one of the best at his position - it simply means that he is one of the most publicized players at his position; and
(2) the media refers to 'pro bowler [insert name here]' for some player that hasn't been to the pro bowl in three years. Is there a time limit on being a pro bowler?
Anyway, it's all in good fun, with the single exception that I really don't like worrying about Cowboy players getting injured in a meaningless game in February.

thats not true
fans only count for 1/3 of total votes to make the squad, coaches and players account for 2/3 of total votes which makes making the pro bowl fairly legit and not a popularity contest.
I'm sure the players and coaches vote on who they feel are the best players and not on who is popular.
the probowl is a complete joke
you have people like you that vote multiple times for one player and if that player on the list has a star on his helmet, you'll vote for him no matter what, that makes it a joke.
Players have said it many times that the sheet is handed to them after a practice and they just check the box beside a player they know or have heard of, players dont get to or have time to watch games to see what a player has done to justify a vote.
You have many veterans that opt out playing in the game and the ALTERNATE gets to play, and that makes him a probowl player. So every year there seems to be either elected or alternates that it ends up that 80 players from each conference ends up having the title of probowler beside him, what a joke that is.
The probowl should be done away with, have some writers and group of retired players that envoled around the game to get together, and release a list of first team player list of first team players, one for each position for each conference, offese, defense, kicker, punter and special team player, making a list of 25 players from each conference. Hand them a watch as a reward for being a probowler and a cash reward and move on..
Just heard
9 Cowboys are leading there positions as of right now. Romo is right behind Favre in the voting for NFC QB.
