Game Ball Guess (Redskins game)
Ken Hamlin recorded an interception and Nick Folk was perfect all day against the NY Giants, as predicted by last week's "game ball guess." However, I also predicted that TE Jason Witten would have another great game against the Giants, and he was mostly used as a decoy to give T.O. single coverage.
Chris Canty (who else also got one?) got an official game ball against the NY Giants.
For the Washington Redskins, here are my pre-game post-game awards:
OFFENSE:
RB Marion Barber. He just ran over the Skins defense for his TDs. A rugged, money player who would not be denied a score.
DEFENSE:
LB DeMarcus Ware. Yes, it seems like Ware should get a game ball every week, but he's really, really good. His turnover-causing QB pressures sealed the Redskins' fate.
SPECIAL TEAMS:
Patrick Crayton. Nothing overly brilliant this day, but his returns were good.

I'm feelin' Corners
Time for T New and Reeves to snag a few balls out of the air. I like their chances against the guys who will be running patterns for the Skins this week.
I'm down with Ware...
But let's throw Ellis into the mix as well. He's been a straight-up monster since coming back, and with so many of Washington's WRs out, Campbell's probably going to have problems finding anybody open.
Look for multiple sacks for The Beard.
Of offense, Tony should be disqualified. He's gotten good enough to be taken for granted. I was speaking to a Philly fan I know recently (who happens to be a Dallas cop), and all he could do was shake his head in disgust over how amazing Romo has become.
So I'll take the road less traveled and go with Julius Jones. JJ has been running much harder lately and no one seems to be noticing, and has played well against the Skins in his career. I say he gets back on the map by breaking a long TD run.
On Special Teams I'll go with Keith Davis. I doubt he's forgotten about how Rock Cartwright broke one on them at home last year and is looking for some payback.
my 3 are
offense - Romo (obvious choice)
defense - Ware (mulitple sacks)
ST - Stanback (his first TD return to the house!)
Game balls
OFFENSE: TO will continue his dominance of the NFC east with another multiple touchdown game.
Defense: Chris Canty will have a big game against the run and record at least one sack.
Special teams: Keith Davis....enuff said!
I agree with Canty
because the skins want to run to their left Canty can cause havoc to any blocking scheme that also has to account for Ware.
Jason Witten will be the receiver that is impossible to cover and JJ will be the running back with the most yardage.
Since I think we can put up 7 TDs against Washington Nick Folk gets the nod on special teams for his 7 points on point-afters.
