Cowboys Thanksgiving Diary

As the annual thanksgiving day game is closing in upon us,I thought it would be a great Idea to post a thread, where all the members of this blog could share the things that they are thankful for! It doesn't have to all be football related, although , I thought that Instead of complaining about what some see as weaknesses on the 2007 version of our Dallas Cowboys,We could all list the things that we're thankful for in regards to our football team.

So have at it fellas
and everybody have a Great Thanksgiving and Enjoy the Game!

Nice idea

And one thing I am thankful for is that EVERY Thanksgiving we get to see the boys play.  That is as much a part of my family tradition as turkey and gravy.  Despite how last season ended, I remember watching Romo and the boys dismantle the Bucs while the fox announcers threw an impromtu coming out party for Romo.  Good times.

Nice place to start

Last Thanksgiving was perfect.  I talked up Romo to all my not-quite-paying-attention-because-raising-kids-under-5  brothers ... and of course, as they are all Cowboy haters, they were laughing at my optimism... until game-time and Romo absolutely dazzled and stunned them!

It is hard to understate how lucky we all are to have the Cowboys as a regular part of such a great holiday.  A 4-day weekend for most, another chance to thank God for everything we as Americans enjoy, sharing it all with family... and washing it down with Romo, TO ... and Roy Williams (with a nudge nudge to BurtD and Deke)

Special thanks to DaveTroll and any/all other servicemen.

Jets blog

What happens when you write a blog and no one shows up?

Just check on The Landing Strip (Jets blog)

I think I actually saw a tumbleweed roll across the screen.

I'm thankful for

1.wade phillips-he was the perfect coach to guide this team after 4 years of bill parcells bootcamp

  1. Jason Garrett-He's been nearly flawless in his play calling,Red ball has arrived!

3.Parcells- for having the foresight to sign tony romo and keep him over all the other QB's that were supposed to be the next Aikman. Also for assembling the talent that this team enjoys(can't give him credit for TO and he does have to take the hit for spears)

  1. Jerry Jones for not being afraid to go after talent even when its under questionable circumstances(Terrell Owens,Tank Johnson)

4.Tony Romo- For being the real deal

  1. TO-For being the weapon we always knew you could be

6.MBIII,JUJO,Jason whitten,PCrayton-See #5
7.The cowboys for winning the games we're supposed to win and for being 9-1 going into our turkey day game

and finally
on thankgiving day
I'm thankful I'm not a JETS fan!

Happy Thankgiving guys,
Jerry

I am thankful
  1. That I am here for another Thanksgiving.
  1. That millions of men and women over more than 200 years have taken up arms to defend our nation and our freedoms. Such patriotism cannot be thanked or appreciated enough.
  1. That the Cowboys have had few major injuries this year.
  1. That Dave has invited us into his home and honored us with the freedom to be family here.

I forgot something

I'm thankful for A.J. Smith's ego letting the entire Chargers assistant coaching walk at the end of last season before he fired Schottenheimer.

If we win the Super Bowl, then we owe Parcells a Gatorade shower.
