After gorging on turkey, I caught this past week's Inside the NFL on HBO. Interesting stuff...
They showed Romo and T.O. on the sideline talking about how the Redskins were looking to jump short routes. Romo told T.O. that if he saw them cheating, he would give him a quick look, and T.O. should go over the top. They then proceeded to absolutely torch the secondary 4 times. Then, they showed T.O. getting the game ball in the locker room after the game. Wade introduced him as "our resident superstar", but when T.O. grabbed the ball, his words were, "this was a total team effort."
I can't believe how well these two are clicking right now. Romo has been putting it in the right place and he, T.O., and Witten are all dialed in. In the game against the Jets, they ran a nice combo route on Witten's TD, where T.O. ran a curl right next to Witten and scrambled the secondary. Great stuff. Romo's pinky seemed to result in some short throws, otherwise both T.O. and Witten would have had an additional TD each.
Every time Romo throws the ball into the endzone, I expect a TD. Every time we play a weak team, I expect a convincing win. And every time the team plays any game, I know they will show up and play. Not every game is perfect, but this coaching staff is doing an amazing job and the players are executing. We have straight-up playmakers at this team at every position. I couldn't be more proud as a fan and I can't wait for the showdown next Thursday.
