No Surprise Green Bay Came Back
This was easier than beating the Jets. The Packers are a better team than they were playing.
me too

Alright, 2nd half team
Time to show it once more.
by Nelson @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 9:00 PM CST reply actions
I hated that TD at the end
by Longhorn @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 9:00 PM CST reply actions
Seems like...
one of the commentators was right - the Cowboys looked like they relaxed a little bit when Favre came out.
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 9:05 PM CST up reply actions
Yeah, the halftime will calm them down
and we will come back out and continue to dominate. I actually feel kind of bad for Favre, though.
When Favre went down
We seemed to have let up on the gas peddle on offense, the defenses tackling was horrible in the second quarter. We started playing man but Reeves and Jones got picked on so much, big reason why we need another cover corner, Rather have reeves as the fourth corner.
The offensive line is playing absolutely lights out in the first half, thee best half they've played all year.
I agree with what Collinsworth was saying about Green bay, they seemed to get away from what they were doing all year, and Brett was forcing things downfield, but mid to late in the second quarter they seemed to get back what they have been doing all year.
Good return
But c'mon Austin, you have to beat the kicker!
the middle was wide open
O-line on the run blocking!
That was interesting....
Thought they might have been more aggressive than that on the 4th down play.
need a 3 and out
preferably a turnover, will gladly settle for 3 and out though
by Nelson @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 9:17 PM CST reply actions
brady!!!!
Could someone post more details?
I'm watching the NFL.com stream and they don't show the whole game....
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 9:19 PM CST reply actions
radio prob...
so i brought my laptop to work to listen to the game on the radio and the feed died at halftime. the ticket's feed is playing drop page radio, while the bone's is playing dead air, any other suggestions?
by MB3fortheTD on Nov 29, 2007 9:20 PM CST reply actions
you can watch the game here
http://www.channelsurfing.net/
after it loads, scroll down to packer/cowboys and watch the gamem, or for just sound go here and ascroll down to dallas cowboys and click on KTBB, the ktbb sign, not the website,
I dont get that
you have roy coming on the outside from the slot, but you have to have the end crash to the inside to give roy a free run
HOLY CRAP
Can anyone stop Favre's freakin' backup?!!!
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 9:21 PM CST reply actions
So basically
Favre was trying to win the game by himself, and now Rodgers is basically just acting like a cog in the machine, and Green Bay is rolling...
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 9:24 PM CST reply actions
thanks for that uplifting statement
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 9:27 PM CST up reply actions
We just got worked
Romo better take over now, this is too close for comfort.
If GB wins this game...
we're going to have to see these friggin' highlights for 10 whole days.
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 9:27 PM CST reply actions
damn.
by Nelson @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 9:27 PM CST reply actions
so many things i don't like
terrible blitz calling and stupid penalties
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 9:28 PM CST reply actions
the blitzes were fine
but wither ZRoy took the wrong route or the defenseive end didn't on one of them, Roy ended up running into the backside of the defensive end, one didn't take the right route
Romo has to get Witten involved in this game
he's the guy that should be open, he's missing him with the easy passes
That was just a little frustrating...
penalties.....man.
also
marion barber has to be in there a lot more now. they have to be able to run
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 9:29 PM CST reply actions
Bryant Gumbel has the most annoying voice
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 9:29 PM CST reply actions
Bryant Gumbel's problem
He has an awful voice for play by play and he sounds like he's trying to describe a chess match instead of a football game...
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 9:31 PM CST up reply actions
Since Kampman hit Romo in the End Zone
He's gone 1-4 for 15 yards, no first downs.
Passing offense looks totally out of synch.
Finally!!!
Great block Fasano
OOOOOOOO
T.OOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 9:37 PM CST reply actions
We won't get that, good try T.O.
That was very close, could go either way
awesome catch either way
enough bobbling
to overturn
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 9:40 PM CST up reply actions
well, he DID catch it in purely physical terms
just not in bounds, so it doesn't count.
I still appreciate the grace of being able to grab a ball out of the air like that.
We better get this yard
Nice MB3
MB3!!!!!!11
I got my jersey on!!
JuJo would have gone into the pile
MB3 is like Romo in his improvisation on the play
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 9:43 PM CST reply actions
hmm
i wonder how many receivers block out on inside runs
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 9:46 PM CST up reply actions
great game so far, still hold to my prediction
41-34 Cowboys
by BoyzFanCA on Nov 29, 2007 9:45 PM CST reply actions
ok
good long drive but you have to punch it in
AND you have to do it in 3. No more going for it on 4th unless its inches and its a romo sneak
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 9:45 PM CST reply actions
That Delay was
because of all the celebrating after the play. Not really Romo, but he should have called a TO. Unless he just didnt want to burn one.
OMG
Cut him.
geez
ok defense. you've had a lot of time to rest. time to step up
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 9:49 PM CST reply actions
i don't think so
but he's making a game out of it
figures
It seemed too easy when the game started. Come on defense. Save us!

Dallas Scores 27 Points
In the first 20 minutes.
Zero points in the last 28 minutes.
Incredible turnaround, but my sense is the worst of the storm is over.
Yeah we were really stagnant last drive gumbel
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 9:55 PM CST reply actions
thank goodness
now let's get a score!
by Nelson @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 9:55 PM CST reply actions

Austin great at drawing PI

they thought he pushed him
but thats not what happened
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:01 PM CST up reply actions
Watch the replay
He hooks his shoulder to throw him off balance and that leads to him getting his feet tangled
YES
He did reach out and grab Austin's shoulder right before the legs got tangled.
by Philosopher on Nov 29, 2007 10:04 PM CST up reply actions
He hooked Austins Arm
that can be enough to decrease his separation
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:04 PM CST up reply actions
Gumbel sounds like...
a D&D nerd watching his first game ever.
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 10:00 PM CST reply actions
Seriously Gumbel blows
its like Collingsworth is trying to explain football to his girlfriend who is trying to keep up
hahaha
you nailed it

We look AWFUL.

I am so tired
of seeing #31 and those damn dreadlocks.
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 10:02 PM CST up reply actions
you're not the only one
damn we needed that so bad

WHOOOOOOOOOOO!
by Nelson @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:03 PM CST reply actions
Interference
We have had more short penalties, but they have had two huge ones!
ok
i'll take it. flukey that TO didn't catch the ball and equally fluky that austin got his legs tangled up
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:04 PM CST reply actions
it happens
by Nelson @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:05 PM CST up reply actions
The way the offense is going now...
we're only going to beat ourselves with turnovers.
***Everyone hold onto the ball!!!***
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 10:05 PM CST reply actions
Anyone
complaining about Folk's kicks now?
by Brandon Worley on Nov 29, 2007 10:05 PM CST reply actions
people might say
that this game doesn't really count cause favre got injured but aaron rodgers has been the better qb today. mobile, good reads, solid play.
but facing GB with KGB and Woodson is a much different story
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:06 PM CST reply actions
Yeah...
So now all we will hear about is that this win should have an "*" next to it.
by Brandon Worley on Nov 29, 2007 10:08 PM CST up reply actions
I'll tell you what
Green Bay's built to last. Rodgers is a pretty good QB. When Favre rides off in the sunset, GB will be fine.
by Nelson @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:09 PM CST up reply actions
Romo, Witten and FolkinA
55 points and we're just gettin' goin'
alright
let's hold these guys. 3 and out and put the nail in the coffin.
by Nelson @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:08 PM CST reply actions
Anyone know where this guy came from?
Rodgers, that is?
How long has he been around?
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 10:08 PM CST reply actions
um
he was a pretty highly rated qb out of college. he's been hiding behind the legend...and he got injured pretty badly
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:10 PM CST up reply actions
Just axin'
I don't follow the Packers.
DAMN IT, can't believe he made that - and with distance to spare.
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 10:12 PM CST up reply actions
packers
exposing the secondary
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:09 PM CST reply actions
We're not getting to the QB as much anymore...
looks a lot like the Redskins game these past few minutes.
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 10:09 PM CST reply actions
Come on Boys
stand them up!
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:11 PM CST reply actions
oh they kicked it
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:12 PM CST up reply actions
4th down
wow. i think ryan grant would have gotten it easily. bad attempt. too much pressure on crosby
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:12 PM CST reply actions
well
he's showing why he's the man. still, a call that will probably be second guessed
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:13 PM CST up reply actions
this is a very interesting story
instead of being about favre and the guy imitating favre, it's about the guy imitating favre and the guy imitating him!
Miles Austin!!!!
by Brandon Worley on Nov 29, 2007 10:15 PM CST reply actions
gb
will have to waste some time outs soon
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:17 PM CST reply actions
should of been a no contest
after the start we had. Should of been going to witten early and often, not wait until the fourth quarter.
Im getting tired of the pessimism...
Would you rather them just lose?
by Brandon Worley on Nov 29, 2007 10:25 PM CST up reply actions
no, I think Romo locked on T.O
too much early and didn't spread it out to his best option witten. I just felt that Romo had so much success early, he wanted to throw for the ig one all the time andjust didn't spread around and short to balance to offense.
pretty close to game
wow. what a up and down game.
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:22 PM CST reply actions
yup
i wonder what he says about the INT. hopefully he has fun with it, but takes the blame.
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:24 PM CST up reply actions
and all but one of those catches in the 1st half.
too bad he couldn't hang onto that last one, though. the worst kind of INT
by Nelson @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:25 PM CST up reply actions
Gumbel is a huge douche
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:26 PM CST reply actions
Every time he says
"KGB", I throw up a little in my mouth.
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 10:32 PM CST up reply actions
They shouldn't count that int on Romo
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:28 PM CST reply actions
hmm
nfl network doesn't want to give us a field goal
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:28 PM CST reply actions
Collinsworth implies
Cowboys may be #1 based on this game and the Pats/Eagles
don't crown us yet
by Nelson @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:39 PM CST up reply actions
this franchise
turned around so quickly. brings a tear to the eye. october of 2006 we're trying to figure out who the hell our qb of the future is...now they are 11-1. unbelievable
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:34 PM CST reply actions
kampan
they held me in check just enough. started getting pretty good pressure near the end
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:35 PM CST up reply actions
Much to the chagrin of the NFL network
the Cowboys won
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:35 PM CST reply actions
Who's the bald chubby guy on NFL.com Live?
If he says "sloppy" one more time, I'm driving to the studios and smacking his bald head with a giant wet trout.
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 10:35 PM CST reply actions
now THAT would be sloppy!
by Nelson @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:38 PM CST up reply actions
Don't
we say that after every game? This should be expected.
by sprite @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:44 PM CST up reply actions
no, this O-line was dominant
Romo had all day at times no pressure at all on him, no sacks for the game, and I only remember two or three knock downs
Completely Agree
And the Packers have an excellent pass rush. Great o-line performance, just fantastic.
11-1
Hell yeah. It was close, it could have gone either way just as most of us suspected, but we got the win. And I don't care what anyone says, it's just as legit a win as any other. Rodgers played well tonight, just as well as Favre would have been.
We made a lot of mistakes on both sides of the ball tonight but still got the victory. I'll gladly take it.
11-1!
by Nelson @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:36 PM CST reply actions
What a game gentlemen
We are watching one of the best teams the cowboys have ever had and I am cautiously optimistic that we are going to end this year on a super note.
Romo, Ware, MB3 - Game balls
Thanks everyone
I couldn't watch the game but reading everybody's color comentary ( some more colorful than others!) made it much more bearable. I can't wait to see Grizz's analysis.
Nice result
good adjustments and the run game came through when we really need it. MB3 and the O-line and that Tony guy wasn't bad either.
that live internet feed stunk
channelsurfing.net was completely unavailable, so I had to use a sopcast on mypup.eu. Man, wish I'd found a ride to a bar.
by Nelson @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:44 PM CST reply actions
this one
sop://broker1.sopcast.com:3912/35003
I think that was a feed from the AFN (Armed Forces Network) though, instead of the actual NFL network one. At any rate, it was extremely choppy.
I started off with the nfl.com one, but they showed the game only 30% of the time, wasn't even worth it.
by Nelson @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:55 PM CST up reply actions
Echo All Those Comments About O-Line
I've seen Green Bay several times this year, and they have been able to get pressure on everybody. Kampman has looked fantastic this year, but a hobbled Columbo shut him out. That o-line performance allowed the passing game to look so good.
exactly
I thought the best quarterback for the packers was the bench warmer Rogers, favre was trying to throw everything deep and was forcing things against the defense, remember that from his old gun slinger, never winning the big one days.
He Reverted to His Old Days
In Texas Stadium, when he would just close his eyes and fling it downfield.
Rogers coming in was the best thing that happened for the Packers. He's going to be a good one, and I've thought that for some time.
yeah, i dont think The packers will have to worry
about finding a replacement for Favre, I thought Rogers really played a great game, certainly didn't get a whole lot of snaps in preparations for this game
nfl.com news has...
good 5 min videos of each quarter...and don't have to listen to Gumbel's bumble..
TO
pretty entertaining interview with Deion goading him...but sticking to the script, giving credit to everybody: coaches (wade, sherman, Jason Garret), Romo, O-line, defense.
But, somebody has to ask him about the INT
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:55 PM CST reply actions
Someone will
Considering how big an INT it was, it'll come up.
by Nelson @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 10:58 PM CST up reply actions
yeah
wished he had declined to say that but still, it was funny.
kind of weird that him and mariucci were acting buddy buddy

Separated Shoulder
Favre just announced he separated his left shoulder also on the play.
ouch.
by Nelson @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 29, 2007 11:03 PM CST up reply actions
It's all the refs fault...
At least, that's what I read over at Acme Packing Company. Apparently Jerry paid them off.
Great game.
