Around SBN: Four TCU Football Players Among 17 Arrested In Drug Ring

Gumbel sits one out

Well well well...

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/...

Gumbel isn't going to be calling the game tonight.  He's sitting this one out due to a "sore throat" caused by the "damp conditions" of his studio.

Maybe tonight there will be fewer "Rick Romo" incidents.  And maybe, NFL networks games will be watchable.

One more reason to watch tonight

Man, B. Gumbel sucks as the lead guy.  And I don't see how Collinsworth -- who's usually pretty good in the color analyst role -- endures having to work with his sorry a__.

Bryant's brother Greg is so much better... it's not even close.

Who will you all root for tonight -- Denver or Houston (and why)... or do you even care?

I think I'll be pullin' for da Texans...

I just want...

Travis Henry to have a better game than Selvin Young.

Last week was very annoying.

I think if you put two of my best seasons together it wouldn't come up with the numbers he's going to have at the end of the season. -Troy Aikman on Tony Romo

Gumbel is worthless...

I hope his replacement can at least match the players up with the teams they play for and remember which team actually has the ball.

Gotta back the Texans in this one.  Never cared too much for Shanahan or Denver's questionable blocking schemes.

The Red Ball Express will be rolling this year!

Interesting

is that the best excuse they came up with, sore throat!!!

There was talk on sunday and Monday that Gumbal wont be doing the broadcast this thursday night. I think all the bad feedback the NFL network has been getting about Gumbal might have somethnig to do with him taking the night off more than a sore throat. Hopefully he wont be back next Saturday when the Cowboys are in Carolina.
