have to maintain possession

when you hit the ground

Try Card Bowl: Football with Playing Cards at cardbowl.org

by scottmaui on Dec 16, 2007 3:33 PM CST up reply actions

its not necessary logical

but thats the rule.  they changed it a few years ago but basically if you go to the ground while catching it, you have to secure it throughout the whole thing.  just how it is

by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Dec 16, 2007 3:37 PM CST up reply actions

the knee has nothing to do with it

you have to maintain posession throuhgout the catch, thats even after you hit the ground

nope

Last Christmas when we played the Eagles

he had Carrie Underwood at the game and we all know what happened.

I am beginning to see a pattern!

Yes

She's clearly a jinx for Romo, and I ,for one, don't like it. Not one bit! Escort her from Texas Stadium pronto.

you got that right Troy

if Tony was a backup, that airhead wouldn't want anything to do with Tony

Romo has spolied everyone, now everyone

expects prefection every week. The guy is human, look at Brady, he stunk against the Jets, it happens.

We're winning and thats all that matters. Our defense is playing great. Enjoy that.

The Fox crew is right

I hate to say this, but we're trying too hard to force TO into the game.
I know we've got to keep him happy, but throwing picks doesn't help.

No Romo sucks today

you can't put that on redball.  Tony is sloppy and including last week's game, we are taking a big step backwards.  We need the half time adjustments of a lifetime because this is getting really ugly.

Don't count on it

he doesn't play well with his ladies in the house watching.

Going back to last week, I still think the December curse is in effect. We don't play well in December.

by Philosopher on Dec 16, 2007 4:46 PM CST up reply actions

I think the whole team is going to

get reamed by Wade and co.  Maybe this horrible first half will wake them up and we can play Dallas Cowboys football and pull out a win.  Still, letting these crappy teams hang around is not good practice.

by Billito on Dec 16, 2007 4:48 PM CST reply actions

The defense has not been the problem

The better QB by far has been McNabb and we rely on Tony greatly so when he is bad so is the offense.

by lee3022 on Dec 16, 2007 4:49 PM CST reply actions

on a side note

i wouldn't mind if they didn't show jessica simpson again this game.  maybe if the nfl network controlled their own broadcasts, we wouldn't get so much of this crap.

cup half full

Last week we were down even worse than this, and we know what happened.

Last week, the offense played well, and the defense was weak.

This week the defense is playing well, but the offense is weak, or more to the point, Romo stinks.

But the O-line is doing a good job getting him time, and he has shown before how he has struggled in the first half and then found his rhythm in the second half.

Thank Goodness

We're playing a team with a poor offense, otherwise we'd be losing like 17-3.

Philadelphia's defense is much better than Detroit's, so Romo better shake the fog off or we're going to be 12-2.

by kindablue on Dec 16, 2007 4:57 PM CST up reply actions

This Doesn't Surprise Me

At all...actually, Romo doing his Rex Grossman impersonation has surprised me.  Heck that doesn't surprise me, since his hearthrob is in the stadium.

But there is a silver lining.  I'd rather we get this stinker out of our system, even if we lose to Philadelphia, than one of our final two games.  I think it will help us focus down the stretch, and improve our chances in the playoffs.  We'd lose if we started this way against Tampa Bay or Minnesota.

by kindablue on Dec 16, 2007 4:54 PM CST reply actions

well

last year we didn't get things out of our system as much as we just went on a terrible streak.

and as much i like owens, i really don't like the me first yelling he does when they're losing.  it definitely doesn't help and probably makes matters worse.  your qb is having a bad day, yelling at him won't help.

by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Dec 16, 2007 4:58 PM CST up reply actions

OK I'm not kidding!

Get Jessica Simpson the F%^& outta the stadium.

The Iggles defense isn't beating us, it's all on Romo.

Throwing and INT into the end zone is a game changer (even though Barber saved the day and let us still score a FG.

And that crappy throw to TO was forced and against a good CB like Sheppard, WTF?

I told you guys she is lowering his IQ every day they spend together.

by APerfectStar on Dec 16, 2007 4:54 PM CST reply actions

Agreed

Romo seemed to be self-conscious early in the game, like he knew she was watching.  I don't think it's any coincidence her presence and his play are related.

Remember Christmas and Carrie.

And what bites is neither of those women are all that hot.
