they'll probably give them one completion for the record and then get him out

Congratulations Tony Romo
despite how he's playing and not liking having him in the game, good to take a moment and consider what he's accomplished this season

Ok I take back one sip
of the sucking!

ohh
bad drop
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 5:11 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
that's why we need a WR for next year.
by BoyzRback07 on Dec 30, 2007 5:12 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
this team finds itsef too many times
in third and very long
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 5:12 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Even special teams
are into the season! Missed tackles seem the norm.
by lee3022 on Dec 30, 2007 5:13 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Can the game be any worse without the starters?
by Wharter on Dec 30, 2007 5:15 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
we're not playing all our starters
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 5:16 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Looks like Johnson is getting up
from his rocking chair and getting ready to come in
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 5:15 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
austin
if he had made that catch and a TD, it would have been a great way for the starters to go out. oh well.
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 5:15 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
IF we can get past our 1st opponent.
by Wharter on Dec 30, 2007 5:18 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
they would be our first opponent

And that's not a sure thing.

terrible call...both should have access to spot.
by BoyzRback07 on Dec 30, 2007 5:17 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I thought it was a good call
Henry hit the receiver, took a bad angle before the ball got there,
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 5:18 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
springs jumped infront of glenn
Henry ran into the receiever
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 5:21 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
see thats the exact same play Springs
made on the INT, its PI
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 5:17 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
bad call
that should not have been PI. same as earlier play.
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 5:17 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
no Henry hit the receiver
the skins player jumped in front of the receievr and Glenn ran into him, Henry took a bad angle, ran into the receiver before the ball got there.
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 5:20 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
no, Springs hit into Glenn, thats what I saw
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 5:21 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs

Good play by Henry!!!!!!

based on this week's games
I wouldn't be surprised if both the Giants and the Skins make it to the second round of the playoffs. We would see 3 out of 4 teams playing that week from the NFC East.
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 5:22 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
That assumes
the Cowboys actually show up to play!

Skins' O line dominating our front seven
by BoyzRback07 on Dec 30, 2007 5:23 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
They dont want it and it was expected
Don't get all fired up over nothing. This game was meaningless and they know it. It's hard to get geared up for a meaningless game.

this is so sad
normally i stay at work and finish the game since i get off at 630 but not today later hopefully ill get a surprise when i get home

skins are going to be tough to beat in playoffs
by jvw on Dec 30, 2007 5:24 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I'm not
I would rather play the Redskins then Seattle. Seattle has good WR's, one through three and a real good defense.
Let the Skins have there superbowl, they aren't going anywhere.
by Cowboys81 on Dec 30, 2007 5:28 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
we can't play Seattle in the
divisioanl playoffs. We're going to play Redskins, Giants or Bucs.
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 5:31 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I'm not worried, Cowboys will be fired up
for playoffs, they aren't going to ruin the season like you guys are paranoid about.
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 5:25 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Paranoid
I've watched enough games to see when a team is close to collapsing, this team is not firing on all cylinders and sitting for two weeks doesn't help, you have to worry about a team thats played this poorly down the stretch.
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 5:28 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
no you don't
I've also seen plenty of games to see that teams can turn it on in the playoffs, especially when we'll be getting back key players.
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 5:33 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Let's go Brad...do us good.,

Cowboys Superbowl History
The Cowboys have never gave up a game this going into the playoffs and WON the Superbowl.
Not a good way to end the season.

Dallas got worse today...
by BoyzRback07 on Dec 30, 2007 5:30 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Talk to me when they play like
this with all their starters and play a meaningful game then I'll say they got worse. Thats a BS statement.
by Cowboys81 on Dec 30, 2007 5:31 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
This team had one starter out on offense
that was T.O and in a half their offense has been horrible, three points total, thats worse!!
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 5:33 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Ratliff, Newman, Gurode
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 5:34 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Offense
I dont see Gurode as a play maker
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 5:35 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
of course YOU don't, most do
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 5:36 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
so its Gurodes fault
that Romo threw a pick and is 7 for 16 for 86 yards. Where was T.O in the lion and Eagle game, dont remeber him being injured. So, OK, if Gurode and T.O cant play in two weeks, that'll be the excuse why we lost.. I'll write that down!!
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 5:40 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
they'll play and we'll dominate write that down!
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 5:41 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Ok, I just want to know who you're going
to blame if the cowboys are one and done, I'm not saying they're going to be, just want to know the excuse why they lost...
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 5:43 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
sorry, offense
but Gurode is key to both run and pass offense, in both making plays and calling plays for the O-line. I would say our lack of passing yards and the pressure on Romo can be at least partially ascribed to his absence.
And T.O.'s absence is big.
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 5:38 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I'm not asking the to win
but without T.O and Gurode, this offense should of atleast moved the ball on a couple of series, I'm not looking for them to put up thirty.
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 5:42 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Don't underestimate the importance of Gurode
on the offense
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 5:35 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
only T.O.!! try Gurode as well
don't kid yourself, T.O. makes a huge difference, but you refuse to acknowledge that because you hate T.O.

I have no confidence
In this team. I will be more surprised if we win a playoff game than if we don't. I'm chalking this season up as a loss right now. gg's

I'll Feel More Confident
Of sweeping, speculative predictions like that once Wade wins the first playoff game of his career.
by kindablue on Dec 30, 2007 5:43 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I'll be hoping they do
but I dont think they will, dont even think they'll make it there.

I'd be shocked if you had any positive thoughts
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 5:46 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
does positive thoughts win games!!!!
Do I concern myself with the play of Newman, Ware , Witten and many others on the team, nope, dont need too, they do theri jobs, I worry about the players and positions on the team that concerns me that will keep this team from winning a superbowl.... I know you think everything is Great and that they're unbeatable, but the facts show otherwise.

we couldn't beat a single team in the NFL with this kind of play
by sublimezg on Dec 30, 2007 5:41 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
who says we'll play like this in 3 wks??
only pessies like you and Deke
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 5:42 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
never said they would
it concerns me a great deal when a team plays like this down the stretch, superbowl teams start to put wins together down the stretch and play better, this team is not, not being pessies, just stating facts
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 5:46 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Dear Wade,
Since we clinched the playoffs we have played lousy. Please make them practice and play better.
by llutherr on Dec 30, 2007 5:41 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Should at least get Witten his catches.
by BoyzRback07 on Dec 30, 2007 5:43 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
If I am any team in the playoffs I would
rather play dallas than skins right now. TO is hurt and we are one dimesional. Quarterback play has been eratic at times. The skins run the football down ur throats then hit high pct of passes and the defense is playing swarming defensive. There hot right now. Seatle got there hands full.
by jvw on Dec 30, 2007 5:43 PM CST reply actions 0 recs

we injure more of our players than other teams do....

by jvw on Dec 30, 2007 5:47 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Hey now...
don't get me wrong. I love this team but over the past several weeks they have played nothing like the team we saw early in the year. At this rate there is no chance in hell we win a Super Bowl let alone a playoff game. That's not being a pessimist, that's being realistic. Oh.. did I mention the Skins just scored again?
by sublimezg on Dec 30, 2007 5:49 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
why is it realistic to think we can't play
well in the playoffs with key personnel back in the lineup?? To me, thats being pessmistic saying we can't.
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 5:54 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
exactly, but some just want to stick their head
into the sand and think everything is fine,
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 5:55 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
everything is fine so long as we're healthy in
playoffs
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 5:57 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs

Wheels Are Coming Off
I could stomach a loss, even to the Redskins who I hate.
I can stomach a poor game. But I can't bear to see this team look so mentally sloppy. Our offensive starters played terrible, especially Romo. Our backups look disinterested. It's like we took the week off.
History is not kind to teams that coast into the playoffs, like we are.
It's entirely possible we lose our first playoff game. There is no entitlement that goes with being the number one seed in the playoffs. We need to play better soon, or we're toast.
by kindablue on Dec 30, 2007 5:52 PM CST reply actions 0 recs

by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 5:55 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs

but we barely beat the skins the first time, somehow I don't see t-new and rat being worth 24 points...we have 9 starters getting their asses handed to them...

With the pro bowl annocments and that great 13-3 record but its time to get back to work and get focused for the pplayoffs. 13-3 means nothing in two weeks.

Just how important Newman is. With him on the field, Santana Moss doesn't produce at anywhere near this level.

Packers
were able to play well today despite being in the same situation as the Boys today, which doesn't make us look too good.
On the other hand, the Packers looked absolutely awful last week and got their butts handed to them by the Bears, but came back great this week, which shows how a team can look sloppy one week and sharp the next.
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 6:08 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
they were also playing the Lions
not a playoff team
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 6:09 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
yeah, we needed a last minute TD to even beat the
lions, what does that say!!
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 6:11 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
the same thing it says about the Pats

DECEMBER SWOON ...AGAIN!!!!!!
we haven't played a good game since the 1st half of the packers game! thats right! Welcome to the december SWOON once again! we've lost 2 out of 3,played terrible against the lions and the panthers and think we have an excuse to lose today?
whats gonna be the excuse in 2 weeks?
by TrueBlue24 on Dec 30, 2007 6:13 PM CST reply actions 0 recs

All people are saying Terry
is that the way this team is playing down the stretch, it is very very concerning to everyone and rightfully so.
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 6:14 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
saying our season is over is not being
concerned, its being unreasonably pessimistic.
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 6:17 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
the season is over
now its time for the playoffs, different season
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 6:18 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
and thats exactly my point
its a new beginning, this game and all the others in December mean nothing.
We have 2 weeks to get healthy and better and there is no reason why they won't get it done for the playoffs.
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 6:20 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
HaHa yes our season is over!!!!
by TrueBlue24 on Dec 30, 2007 6:21 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I agree with you
I'm an optimist like Terry, and still feel very good about our chances in the postseason with key starters back, two weeks to rest, and the intensity of the playoffs to focus the potential of this team, but the last few weeks have certainly not inspired confidence, and definitely have me a lot more concerned than I was after Pack game.

the playoffs are suppose to play in the first half before sitting and watching. Having nothing to play for. This is are rivals and we play like this? its ok to lose to them but like this? I'm worried about this team and coaching staff the rest of the way. We will see what Wade is made of as a HC over the next two weeks. I hope he gets these guys ready to play.

thats what they'll say
after the bowl game when he's suspended for the game for contact with an agent....

He's not suspended
An Arkansas television station recently linked McFadden and an agent to the purchase of a vehicle. After strong denials by the agent and McFadden's parents, the station apologized Friday, saying its report was flawed. The school said over the weekend it was still looking into the matter, but coaches expressed confidence McFadden would play against Missouri as expected.

Wouldn't it be justice...
...if Bobby Petrino began his first few years @ Arkansas with limited scholarships and some kind of probation -- esp. after how he did Arthur Blank @ The Falcons?!?!

1995
The 1995 team went 2-2 in December, but went on to squeek out a SB win! I hope we repeat 1995.
I think we looked this bad because the starters stayed out longer than expected. They mailed it in today. The backups would have played harder because they would have been playing to keep a roster spot.
I hated the way we played because it was against the skins and I hate looking at the smug look on Gibbs face when they win against the Boys, but we only went through the motions so I wont burn for 2 weeks.
On the bright side, if we were really playing hard I think we score 2 TD's in the 1st half instead of attempting FG's and we could have scored 2 more TD's with our starting receivers [drops] and maybe won this game.
I will worry in 2 weeks if their is a repeat performance.

The 1995 Team
Won their last two games, including a road blowout against Arizona in their final game. That last game righted the ship for the playoffs, but in this case we're still taking in water.
