I don't want to call it shocking, since these players were dealing with injury issues, but it is somewhat suprising. I wonder if this means they have free agent targets they are especially interested in and thought they needed more room for.
The article metions that Arrington signed 7 years for $49 million last year. Does anyone know how this affects their cap? It doesn't mention how much of it was in signing bonus, but surely this affects their cap somehow, right?
