[JOKE]:Breaking Trade News

Amidst swirling trade rumors over the last 2 weeks, Cowboy's owner Jerry Jones has pulled the trigger on a deal reminiscent of the Herschel Walker deal October 12, 1989.  Below are the details:

Cowboy's trade Miami:

conditional 1st and 2nd round picks for 2008
conditional 1st and 2nd round picks for 2009
1st round and conditional 3rd in 2010
and
6 additional players:
LB - Al Singleton
DB - Pat Watkins
RB - Julius Jones
LB - Oliver Hoyte
DB - Jacques Reeves

Dolphins trade Cowboys:

3rd and 10th round picks for 2008
3rd round pick for 2009
rights to Ricky Williams of the Toronto Argonauts

They just don't make trades like they used to.

This would've been perfect
without the word "JOKE," and if it was done on April 1st...

Very creative, ibleed blue!

I put the word JOKE in the title
Readers come here for Cowboys news. I don't mind jokes or rumors, I like them but I don't want to mislead anybody so I need to keep the line between reality and fiction straight. So anytime that something is written as definitive in the title, but the articles isn't a definitive, then I need to label it.

But if it had been April Fool's day, I would've left it alone.

Sorry Grizz
I was thinking that the last line would make that clear (that and the fact that it included Ricky W).

Its always nice around draft time to think back to the trade that played such a big part of our domination of the early 90's.

It's no big deal
I just worry that someone will put up a not-so-over-the-top joke and people will actually believe it. When I first read it, I didn't read the whole thing carefully and went scrambling to see about the trade. When I didn't find anything, I came back and read it carefully and realized it was a joke!

This looks like a case study
of "What if Isaiah Thomas ran an NFL team"...

Wonder if it was Isiah's own money...
would he have done all that trading, all those waiver-wire signings, and all those FA signings the preceding seasons before he made himself the HC of the Knicks?
