Favorite Cowboys of All-Time
I'm sure this has been done here before- but considering I just discoved this blog a couple of months ago, I thought this might be a topic that would get some response.
I have my favorite Cowboys of all-time listed below. I was born in 1976, so some of the greats that are missing here are due to that. Its funny how my dad's list differs so greatly from mine.
- Darren Woodson
- Michael Irvin
- Ed "Too Tall" Jones
- Bill Bates
- Troy Aikman
- Tony Dorsett
- Emmitt Smith
- Jay Novacek
- Danny White
11.Jay Novacek
12.Charles Haley
The story about Irvin got me thinking. I would love to see some of your lists.

There is a funny story about that.
Being a cowboy fan all my life, I know the history and can appreciate all the guys on that list - but can't remember seeing them play enough to make my list. Every one of those guys listed would make my dad's list. His favorite Cowboy of all-time is Bob Lily by the way.
As for Staubach - my bad. It does not matter that I was 3 when he retired. He has to make the list - I would put him right after Emmitt.

Man, that must've been cool for your dad
I even have a Throwback jersey of #33.
To this day, I still think that 99-yd run @ Minnesota was the greatest rushing TD on MNF.
It's a shame they only won 1 SB with Dorsett.

Too Many Too List!
I have met Staubach, Woodson, and Irvin.
Staubach was legendary, Irvin was inspiring, and Woody was the nicest guy you'd ever meet.
For some reason Danny White always sticks out in my memory. He could never bring us the big one, but he always left it all out on the field. Must have been hard playing in the wake of Staubach.
I often think that the Cowboys got the title "America's Team" not for their winning, but for their ablity to break your heart.

Roger the Dodger
There are too many others to contain in a list of 10 but my list starts with Roger.

I'll throw another one into discussion
An innovator, a leader, a family man, beloved by his players, everything that was good about the Cowboys. Still can't think of the Cowboys without thinking about Coach Landry.
