Is anyone else afraid of Gramatica

He did OK at the end of last year - but about 2-3 games come down to the kicker each year.  I'm not a proponent of going out and spending big money on a free agent, but....   What do we know about the Desperado kicker?

We broke form last year going after a big name - mistake. I guess we are getting back closer to form.

Well he IS almost 100 pounds!
no, not afraid of him. We have a kicker in camp to compete and the best kicker will win.

You stole my punchline!
When I read the title of this diary, I thought the exact same thing.

And no, Gramatica doesn't scare me. It seems to be a case of injury that sidelined his career. Before that, he was money.

Is there anyone else?
Martin Gramatica isn't that bad, I think he is about as good as there is out on the market.  Sure he is only like a hundred lbs, but it isn't like we are asking him to play tackle or anything.  I think he will be reasonably good next season.  As we should have learned from Vander shank, stick to who you know, and not there reputation.

didn't he win a game for us this yr?
The guy hit one of the biggest clutch kicks last season against the Giants at the Meadowlands, so why would you be scared to have him kick for us? When healthy, he has always been one of the better kickers in the league. I like him.

Cundiff-Suisham-Novak-Vanderidiotkicker
When you compare how Gramatica did compared to the foursome above, I think you'll see that King Jerry made the right decision in re-signing the guy weighing a buck and change.

He's not as bad as I thought
That's about the best I can say.

BTW, I guess we can cross Crosby off the draft board.
