I like spending a #6 on kicker Nick Folk from Arizona. He can both punt (if necessary) and kick off. A #6 pick is a gamble anyway, and he was one of the top three kickers in the draft.
Having good kickers in training camp is a luxury. There's always some team that is desperate for a kicker because of an unexpected injury, so don't be surprised if the Boys deal Folk to another team for a slight upgrade, say a #5 next season.
The Cowboys' record of drafting kickers hasn't been good. Folk is the highest kicker pick since 1986's fourth round choice of Max Zendejas, also of Arizona. Max Zendejas played briefly for Washington; his brother, Luis Zendejas, had a three-year tenure in Dallas.
