Why isn't LSU's Glen Davis playing football?

Perhaps you've heard about LSU's Glen Davis ("Big Baby"). He's often compared to Shaq, and he'll probably be drafted in the second round at the NBA draft in a few weeks.

He's 6'8", about 300 pounds. The problem is that, unlike Shaq, he's not a seven footer. That's not an ideal basketball size. He's too short to play center in the NBA, and perhaps not quick enough for a power forward spot.

Why isn't he playing football? Why not give him an invite? Hey, we're trying former Houston basketball player Rodney Hannah at tight end.

Grizz, I got your big fullback right here!

Notes: Nicknamed "Big Baby" ... Was a dominant football player in high school, (played defensive lineman and halfback!) and could easily have had a career in the NFL if he chose to ...
