Yahoo TO article

I guess columnist's are getting their TO columns in early this year.  As usual a reporter shows his dislike for TO and lists the reasons he'll tear apart the team this year.

The only interesting thing in the article is this nugget:

Owens is notorious for hating to practice. He has caused problems in the past by telling fellow players they didn't need to practice so much either. Unfortunately, not everyone is so gifted or sculpted as Owens, who will do fine as a model for Men's Fitness when he's done as a player.

Star-divide

I personally think it's all propaganda, but the work ethic thing bothers me.  If it's true that is.  There is so much propaganda being spewed out there by the media about TO, it's hard to tell which is true and which columnists have an axe to grind.  What do you guys think?

Owens hates practice?

I thought all of his problems were off the field stuff?

Right

never heard about the hate practice deal. I don't think there's any truth to it. He's probaby got him confused with Iverson. Practice, we're talkin paractice. Not a game, not a game. We're talkin about practice...

Practice

That's what I thought.  This was the first I heard of TO not liking practice.  Good to know I didn't miss anything.

What a load of BS

The one thing that TO has NEVER had an issue with is practice.  If you read anything his coaches or teammates said throughout the years is that TO always goes 100% in practice as if it were a real game.  Unfortunately last year he had a hamstring injury complicated by him trying to come back too soon.

I am SICK and TIRED of the media created such biased propaganda about this guy. When TO came here I told myself I would let the past live in the past and judge on present actions.  He has been absolutely non existent this off season.  The only thing I heard about TO was how he was the one constantly checking on Romo after the Seattle game to make sure he was alright.  And lets not forget the fact he came back WAY earlier than expected for minicamps.

Oh yeh, and so far the consensus in this years Camp is that TO is the most dominant player on the field.

Yep, sounds like this guy is having problems with practice, and is looking to tear apart this team.

You find out life's this game of inches, so is football. Because in either game - life or football - the margin for error is so small.

What a crap article

This guy is re-hashing the TO stories we've heard a million times and then making up some junk about TO not practicing.  To me this is a writer struggling to meet deadline and playing it safe and clearly, covering sports for Yahoo is the pinnacle of his career.

"Practice?! We're Talkin' 'Bout Practice?!?!"

Ha Ha Ha!!!  The above was a tongue-in-cheek/sarcastic reference to an infamous press conference by another controversial pro athlete.

Can you guess who made the above quotes famous?

And if you need any more evidence

DMN on TO and practice:

Phillips said he will rest some of his older players during camp, so they do not get overworked. He said it's been difficult to rest Terrell Owens, however, because Owens has been eager to take every snap.
