Interesting update on the free agent from Denver. Spags is not as optimistic as some.
I'm hearing the Broncos would like a high second-day draft choice, a fourth or a fifth. This might be a tad soon to give us such a high pick for a guy who flamed out in Cleveland and now seems not welcomed in Denver. Warren appeared to rejuvenate his career in Denver, but now evidently he doesn't seem to fit into the Jim Bates scheme. To me, if he's a good player, he can fit into anyone's scheme. Word is he doesn't have a high motor, and to play nose tackle, you had better have a high motor. Be nice if the Broncos bring him to The Ranch for practice the next two days, but they didn't bring him to the preseason game in San Francisco and evidently don't want him to become damage goods before they can unload him. Huge buyer beware guy.
