Well, the boys will get no compensation for losing Ireland and Jerry basically said it is payback for Wayne H. letting us interview and ultimately hire Garrett last year for no compensation.
The article on DC.com is here and goes on to say that Tom C. is in charge of the 2008 draft and Jerry didn't want to stand in Ireland's way of a promotion. Check out the article as it clears up a lot of questions I have seen here and explained some things to me as well. I feel better about losing Ireland and have the utmost confidence in JJ to move forward without losing steam.
