Cowboys to interview Dave Campo for coaching position
That's right kids! He's BACK.
Source: Campo a possibility to be Cowboys’ secondary coachBy CLARENCE E. HILL, JR.

The more things change.....well, you know the rest.
And when it comes to the Cowboys and hiring assistant coaches, it appears to be business as usual.
Despite owner Jerry Jones’ comments last week that the team’s three assistant coaching openings will give coach Wade Phillips a chance to hire coaches in line with his philosophy, it still doesn’t hurt to be in line with Jones’ philosophy.
According to a source, the Cowboys have requested and received permission to speak to Jaguars assistant Dave Campo about Dallas’ vacant secondary coaching position.
Campo’s possible return to Dallas comes five years after he was fired as head coach following three straight 5-11 seasons. Campo was the defensive coordinator in Cleveland in 2003 before spending the past four years in Jacksonville as assistant head coach/secondary.
He is available because the Jaguars have hired Donnie Abraham to coach the secondary.

Campo is a great positions coach
not just HC material.

He was always a fiery guy as well....
But hey, while we're at it, why not look up Butch Davis?
Seriously, if Wade is all for it, Campo would be a decent hire.

Actually, Butch is in his 2nd yr as HC @ UNC
But I do echo Terry's sentiments that Campo is an outstanding assistant, but just not cut out to be an NFL Head Coach.

Definitely.
I was being a bit sarcastic.
I remember back when Campo was named HC and we all thought it was a great decision. Well, I don't know what you guys thought at the time, but in my circles we thought it was great move.
Campo has the ability to come in here and light a fire under these guys butts.

It's good to see
That Jerry isn't going to let any bad blood remain. If he thinks a guy is worth hiring, he'll pull the trigger.
It shows me that he's putting winning ahead of his own pride.

If he can help us with the secondary
then bring him in! That's all I've got to say.

He was a great defensive positions coach
I got no problem with this at all, if the Cowboys want him back in the fold.
Now just get Pagano for the LB's coach and replace Read as the ST coach (I know it probably won't happen, but I can hope)

If he was available I'd love it.

surprised that...
...Campo is not being considered for defensive coordinator in Jacksonville. I know they want to talk to Gregg Williams, but Campo seems like an excellent fit for that job given that he was already the secondary coach there.

I think this would be a great move.
