Around SBN: Keith Hernandez Reacts To Gary Carter's Passing

OT: Connecticut Cowboys fans

Unfortunately for us stuck in New England, the Cowboys game will not be broadcast here on TV, thanks to the fact that the Patriots are playing at the same time. Usually I would just watch the game on some internet feed, but I was thinking it might be cool to meet up with some fellow Cowboys fans to watch the game.

Sunday my wife and I will be in the Fairfield/Stamford/Bridgeport area, so if there are any Cowboys fans and BTB regulars that would want to meet up at a good bar, let me know. I'm not too familiar with that area, so some good recommendations would be welcome as well.

Brandon howdy....

I live in Norwalk and feel your pain about the game.
Any other weekend that we are not on ‘regular’ TV i would be out at one of only a few bars in this area that have the NFL package watching the game, unfortunately this weekend i have some personal stuff going on and i don’t think i will get out.

however, there is a slight chance that by Sunday at 4pm I will be able to get out for the game.

In Norwalk there are two places that i know of that will show the game:
1) The Black Bear – http://www.blackbearsono.com/ – it’s pretty much a sports bar with MANY TVs – this is where i usually go to watch games that are not on regular tv.
2) Taven on 7 – http://tavernon7.com/index.htm – i have never been here for a game but have been for lunch.. so I am not sure exactly what their ‘deal’ is for games. but i am pretty sure they show them all

if you are in Stamford and need some suggestions:
1) Black Bear – Stamford – http://www.blackbearstamford.com/ – pretty much a sports bar a little smaller than the one in Norwalk
2) Bobby Valentine’s – http://www.bobbyv.com/Directions.htm – Bobby V. is a local celebrity, he managed the Texas Rangers for a while and the New York Mets for a while… he is now managing some team in Japan, he is from Stamford – this is a sports bar through and through.. many tvs rowdy crowd, and great nachos…

I know the Fairfield or Bridgeport but not as well as Norwalk / Stamford and I can’t think of any places.. however, i am sure you could find something if you are in that area.

I would love to say i could meet up with you but right now that is a NO go..
and if it does happen it would be last minute, like sunday at 330 i would know… and if that happened i would head to the Black Bear in Norwalk…

if things change i will keep posting here and maybe something will work out… as i would love to meet up and watch the game..

Ironically

The Black Bear is a place I was looking at. There are a couple of places in Fairfield, but I had heard this place was good.

it’s one of the better places around, it’s big, has MANY TVs and will be full of the Sunday football bar crowd…

keep in touch here and i will do the same.. like i said though, i don’t think i will get out, but just in case..

Brandon

what about this week.. as of now i am pretty sure i will be out watching the game at The Black Bear in South Norwalk.
this week they play at the same time as the Giants so they will NOT be on any TV station i get…
