NCAA football open thread
There are a lot of very good games today in the college ranks, including the Oklahoma-Texas rivalry. LSU and Florida meet in a big SEC clash later tonight.
Feel free to use this open thread to discuss today's college football games.

Purer than college football…. college basketball, IMO. I probably won’t get too far making this point on a football blog, but think about it. In college football you still need to be an exceptional athlete with a tremendous physical build, these are the best and most talented athlete’s in all of NCAA sports. In college basketball, year after year in the month of March it seems like a previously unknown player steps up and puts the name on the front of his jersey on the map, opposed to the name on his back. All you need for evidence is the story of Stephen Curry, a 150lb sophomore from a tiny school becomes the biggest name is all of sports throughout the month of March. My final point, the exceptional college football players have a great chance of making it in the NFL, whereas a star bball player on a team like George Mason who brings their team to the final four, understands that he will never make it in professional basketball and these final games that he play will be the last chance he has to fulfill his childhood dreams. A little long… but that’s my take on what is the purest sport, curious to hear the responses on this blog.

I love the way
College basketball figures out the national champions
"If you see me up in the mountains with a lion, I ain't lyin
don't help me, help the mountain lion"
+1
The rankings in college football take a lot of the joy away for me and make the national champion have an asterisk almost every year.
+100
Oh you mean the way they actually do something that makes sense??? Yea, go figure haha…

Texas wins! I'm bankrupt!
Yeah, Texas wins! I’m bankrupt! I’m selling the home that I just bought last year! My financial adviser brought me to ruin! I had 2,000 shares of Lehman Brothers! In December, my brilliant financial adviser had me buy a large stake in Morgan Stanley! He told me that the worst was over! I’m wiped out! GO LONGHORNS! GO COWBOYS!
