Another Quality DB Still Out There
Let's face it. Our secondary has lost two experienced starters for at least four games in Terence Newman and Pacman Jones. Personally, I'm intrigued with rookies Mike Jenkins and Orlando Scandrick. These next four games gives them an opportunity to shine and make some plays. Yeah, they'll stumble and makes some mistakes... but let 'em learn and forget their faux pas and maintain a swagger exuding some confidence.
But there's always the temptation to dip into what's available from a free agency perspective... and right now there's a vet who's won two Super Bowls, who's still available and in playing shape as we speak.
The player is a former All-Pro, who lists the Dallas Cowboys as a contender he'd like to play for.
His name -- Ty Law.
Adam Schefter on NFL.com writes about it. If Law doesn't ask for much, da King could sign him for JUST the remainder of this season.
I'm content with Jenkins and Scandrick -- and of course, Anthony Henry, who'll start with Jenkins... and Scandrick acting as the nickel.

I'm all in
call me crazy, call us the yankees of football, say whatever you want….but with a guy of his talent saying “it’s about respect” and not caring about money?!?!
Jerry, fer real, call this guy up. We want a ring this year.
Me: "We got Roy Wiliams in a trade today." My Wife: "What does that mean?" Me: "Well, it at least means that there are two poeple playing for the 'Boys now with the same name."
A few hours later: My Wife: "If our next child is a boy, what would you want to name it?" Me: "How aobut Roy Wiliams?"
I think so
Law can play safety and corner. One safety still has a stinger the other has a weak arm after a break. Just exactly how far are we from desperation should another corner get hurt? So having a swing man can only help, especially a guy who’s been all the way to the top and can coach up our rookies. Remember he’s played on some good teams and under some pretty darn good coaches and he brings that to the table. We haven’t been getting picks and he’s a magnet for them so I say Bring Him On!!! Now!
Jerry, get his phone number and ask him just how sincere he is about not asking a lot to play. Then look at both safety and corner and ask yourself just how good you feel about depth and maturity (p.s.-Law tackles too, not one of those guys who tries the knock out shot without wrapping up, and look at Courtney Brown’s resistence to throwing his body in there). So please, go get him
SIGN HIM
"Well, we didn't block real good but we made up for it by not tackling."
- John McKay, the first coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
