This really pi$$es me off. From the Washington game forward the boys have looked way average. Wade keeps saying "it's my fault". Yea Wade, I have to agree. It is your fault. Our team looks like a bunch of overpaid individuals. There is nothing that resembles a team with this group. The only reason we aren't 2 and 5 is because Romo and the offense have enough talent to overcome that. Well, now you see what we really have without Romo playing. Zero defense, bad special teams, a sloppy offensive line, and sorry coaching. Wade and Stewart have got to go. Red couldn't do a worse job than Wade. Put him in there. We aren't winning any championships with this defense either. They are terrible for two years straight. Stewart has been completely worthless. I fear this season is gone without a drastic change at coach. Sure, we'll win some more games, but you ain't making the playoffs in the NFC East at 9 and 7.

Where’s our Michael Irvin of this team. We don’t have one. We have a great group of individual players and no leaders. Romo leads the offense, but where is our defensive leader. He doesn’t exist. We need a maniac defensive player and a defensive coach who will get in the players faces. This “team” doesn’t have any fire. They just play and hope the offense outscores the other one. It starts with the head coach, how much fire do you see him put forth? Wade Phillips and Brian Stewart suck. Get somebody with some balls.

Irvin was great

But he had some tough seasons too (3-13 in ‘88, 1-5 in ’89, 7-9 in ’90, 6-10 in ’97, 8-8 in ’99). Leaders are great, but they can’t overcome every obstacle a team faces.

I agree that something must be done...

But I don’t know what that is…it is clear that Wade can’t motivate this team. The scarier option is that maybe nothing can. Before today, i thought the situation might scare these guys into playing football. Can it be that, save for a few guys, these guys just don’t understand the idea of playing as a team? Can it be that they have no heart???

I have noticed a new resurgence in Cowboy hating in 2007, which can only mean one thing- We're back.

Something I've never understood

These guys are “professionals”. They get paid for what they’re suppose to be doing. I just can’t comprehend being lacksadaisacal or sloughing off or giving up at the first sign of adversity. They should all be informed their jobs are up for grabs, no exceptions, whole team. I was so looking forward to this season but this isn’t exactly what I had in mind..
