Romo will not play until after bye week
IRVING, Texas -- Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo doesn't expect to play again until mid-November.
Romo, who wanted to play last week with a broken pinkie on his throwing hand, said Wednesday the plan now is to return after the bye week.
That means the two-time Pro Bowler would miss at least two more games -- Sunday at Tampa Bay and the following week at the New York Giants. The Cowboys then take a week off before returning Nov. 16 at Washington.

I wish they would have signed Chris Simms when they had the chance....
Now we’re screwed
Not me
If it took Simms 3-4 tryouts to stick some where he is not quality..
I say start Bollinger, if Brad couldn’t do it vs. Rams it isn’t happening.. I will be watching this game with my Jack.. Jack Daniels..
"If you see me up in the mountains with a lion, I ain't lyin
don't help me, help the mountain lion"
Biggest mistake of the offseason...
was not finding a quality backup QB. Jerry rolled the dice and came up snake eyes. Teams with Super Bowl aspirations cannot let their season go down in flames if the starting QB goes down. We haven’t crashed yet but everybody is smelling the smoke… It will take two shut down performances from a defense that couldn’t stop St Mary’s school for girls to keep this season afloat. I’d love to see them rise to the occasion but I am not holding my breath.
The Red Ball Express will be rolling this year!
Seriously I
agree on signing the better back-up. I thought after watching him last year that the Boy’s wouldn’t need a backup b/c Tony wouldn’t be touched. Well when Brady went down that should have set off alarms all over the NFL. If the Pats O-line, which were regarded as the industry standard, can let Brady get hurt then all lines are susceptible.
There were far better options out there in the offseason, that if Dallas would have upgraded then, (back up qb) you guys would not be searching for answers now. David Carr was available, Simms, Culps, etc… For all of Jerry’s flashy moves he missed on that one.
Quick question, who the hell is your GM? All I ever here is JJ making the moves lol. So he is the owner, coach, and GM? They should suit him up and let him ride the sideline lol.
I think this is our best chance
at winning one of these two games. BJ will get better with playing time, I could see us putting enough points on the board to win a close game. The defense has to step up and keep the game close. I like our chances against Tampa better than the Giants. Tampa Offense will keep the game close, and if we can win that one the confidence goes up and anything is possible against a division rival………..
we're still in good shape after the bye week
The cavalry comes after the bye when we can make a serious run with our healthy studs back. I’ll still be confident at 4-5 heading into Washington.
BTW, Chris Simms is no better than BJ. I’d rather sign Brad Gradkowski
In Romo we Trust
I think we've got a better shot at the Giants than the Bucs
Because you know motivation will not be a question against New York. There is genuine hatred there.
