MNF open thread
This is an open thread for the Colts @ Titans Monday night game. The Titans are the last of the unbeaten teams in the NFL. They have a defense that can make you drool. The Colts offense isn't quite the machine they were in the past, but they can still score. Should be entertaining.
I thought I'd throw a few headlines up for the thread, too.
This morning, everybody's favorite ESPN dude Ed Werder brought up the possibility that Brooks Bollinger might see the field on Sunday against the Giants.
It might have sounded like another typical Werder article, you know, inaccurate, until Wade danced around the issue in his press conference. Nick Eatman covers that in this write-up, or you can just read my press conference summary. Wade finally said Brad would start, but he sure didn't do it with confidence.
Anthony Henry and Jason Witten update.
Zach Thomas is becoming a leader in Dallas.

I need the Titans D and Lendale to lay a turd
and Gary Brackett to rack up the tackles and ints.

I need Peyton to choke again
and put up less than 14 points so Grizz will lose to Brandon, and I will only be one game back still. And Brandon, what’s up with leaving Hanson on your bench with Gould on a bye? you could have 6 more points of margin against Peyton tonight!

If Collins was our backup
we could beat the Giants

I remember a lot of people on this blog
saying that Chris Johnson would be a bust.

not me, I knew he was a stud
I was hoping we’d get him in the 2nd rd if we didn’t take a rb in the first rd, turns out he was a first rounder and deservidly so.

i love the piece on zach speaking up
he likes to lead by example in his work habits and on the field, but it’s great to know that at critical times he’ll be a veteran voice and give a good team meeting speech to help the mindset of all the guys.

That reminded me of 2006 when the Colts played the Cowboys...
Burnett had an int for a touchdown, but it was clear he was touched initially after the catch on the ground. The Colts didn’t challenge, and Dungy said it was because “CBS didn’t show the right replay”

he's just hesitant
gosh, that was a great game—prolly brought dallas into the new era of being the force it is currently to be reckoned with

That was unbelievable......
That was the last time, before yesterday, that I saw the defense really step up with some intensity.

I'm having problem remembering another.
I just know that every week I get jealous because other teams get defensive TDs and blocked kicks.
Those just seem to be such rare plays for the Cowboys. Guess opponents try their best not to committ errors against this team.

Titans don't look that impressive to me
no way are they the best team in football. We’d beat this team if healthy.

there is no best team right now
it’s an interesting season. every team has it’s weakness and it’s bad weeks. the titans are unbeaten but not unbeatable. no team is clearly dominant in either conference, and there are a lot of contenders.

Oops!
That’s why my wife generally hates women sideline reporters; they don’t know football!
