Make the Damned Trade!!!
Here it is, a chance to make a mid-season play for a "real" #2 WR that could completely change the complexion of ths team.
He's 6'3", weighs 211 pounds and must be doubled if you want to keep him from burning you. He wants to win and isn't clamoring to have the ball thrown his way...he just wants to win.
It's just like the trade we made for Charles Haley back in the 90's...
So make the damned trade already!!! Here is the Link

I have to agree
Crayton has been a “cowpatty with a marshmallow center” for far too long. He’d be a great #3 receiver on any team, but as the #2 guy, he’s been flat.
Austin is coming along, but I don’t know if he’s got what it takes for us to win it all right NOW. The question is, can we afford Roy Williams? I just don’t know if we can pay him what he needs to stay happy. Would he take, like other players have, a back loaded contract with little upfront?

I stilll can't stop laughing at
“cowpatty with a marshmallow center”.
Where the heck did you get that one?

Roy Williams is playing for the Lions dude......
He would be a beast in this offense. Don’t fool yourself’s he would be like Lenoard Davis coming from Arizona.

True, but I wouldn't trade D-Ware for him...

no way do the lions make this trade...not to another NFC team
by AikmanNailedMySis on Oct 6, 2008 10:16 AM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Why would they care?
If an NFC team makes the best offer, they have to take it… They’re so far from competing for anything within the conference that it really doesn’t matter…

Lions might as well pull the trigger because he is not resigning with them

They wouldn't make it now
Because Roy’s value has dipped from where it was in the offseason. They won’t get the sort of offer that would compel them to part with arguably their best player, and so the organization will delude itself into thinking he’s a vital part of the rebuilding process. The fact is, he’ll probably be franchised for one more season and hit the market, at will point JJ will come after him fast and hard.
Pretty clearly the first time he has ever looked at a web site. "And there are readers' comments at the bottom! And advertisements for products! And best of all, I won a free iPod!"

If not Williams
the Cowboys need to make a move for another WR. Crayton seems like the invisible man this year. We need another solid option at WR opposite Terrell Owens.

Nah!!!
I’d rather have TJ Whosyourmama when he becomes a FA next season.

From Who?
CInCin? He won’t take it, when he grew up as a Cowboy fan and knowing Jerry will not hesitate to get him.

I think Cincy is ready to let him walk next season
They are not a well managed organization. They could have dumped Ocho Cinco for 2 First round picks, and they turned it down. They don’t like to spend money, that’s why they dumped their starting RT and RB right before the season. Plus they drafted 2 WR’s, in the 2nd and 3rd round, this past draft, then re-signed Henry. All signs point to him leaving. I like him, he’s not a young guy and he’s not a deep threat, but he does know how to get open and he’s a team player, not a diva.

Did you guys see
That wierd shot before the game where T.O. and Chad Johnson were posing for a picture with Jerry?

haha that was sort of creepy...
I said it before the game, I’d rather have TJ than Chad. A whole lot less baggage…I wouldn’t mind Roy Williams or Anqoin Bolden (sp?). Plus, I forget where I read it, maybe here…but aren’t we supposed to have sick draft picks next year??

Dallas needs a speed guy...
Someone who can force safeties to stay back in cover 2 and allow us to execute the power running game and play action passing that this offense revolves around.
TJ is too pricey and probably won’t make it out of Cincy, even if they have to tag him. Boldin is more of a mid-range guy. No one else out there is really suited to help take pressure off of T.O. than Roy Williams.
I think a package of Spears, next year’s #1 and a conditional pick (3rd or 4th rounder) could seal the deal.
As I said, MAKE THE DAMNED TRADE!!!

No Way Cincy lets him go
They’ll tag him if they have to. Wiliams is our best bet and we have to strike while the iron is hot!!!
