Can Romo throw anything that isn’t a 5 yd slant or crossing pattern? No confidence in his deep ball, whether it be his choice or the coach’s play calling.

physical vs. soft

Why do they explode into tackles and smack guys, and we seem to always be barely dragging guys down?
Rhetorical question, of course.

their secondary really knows how to tackle.

D. really hasn't

looked that bad so far tonight – the offense has GOT to generate some points though….with each Offensive drive we’ve shot ourselves in the foot…interception….holding call on a 20+ yard barber run…and pass bounces off TO for an int. when we were driving deep in their territory – offense has to settle down and cut down on the mistakes

Isn't it ironic...

That his name is Barber, but he leads the NFL in overall nappiness?

I still have a severe man-crush on him, though.

by no1cowboysfan on Nov 16, 2008 8:35 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

I dunno...

Barber’s hair makes him look like he’s constantly in a wind tunnel, even when he’s standing still.

Maybe it’s an allusion to make defenders think he’s running faster than he actually is.

Nice Playcalling

Great mixture of run and pass…the offensive line is giving Romo all day to throw.

Romo’s rust is starting to wear off.

As bad as we played early, we should be 7-7 at the half with the ball to start the second half.

This drive for the Redskins is so crucial for us to get another stop. It starts with the kick coverage obviously, we must not let them get a FG here, or worse a TD, remember the giants playoff game, we would have won if it weren’t for that 40 second 2nd quarter touchdown drive.

by Philosopher on Nov 16, 2008 8:44 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

We would have lost to Buffalo is he hasn't made it last year

He is one of the better kickers in the league and considering that we had been plagued by bad kickers that cost of tons of games over the past 4 years, I;ll take Folk anyday

by Philosopher on Nov 16, 2008 8:46 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Granted, I like Folk a lot,

but it’s painful to watch Crosby bang them all in the end zone and be money on FG’s.

by Mandmeisterx on Nov 16, 2008 8:47 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

I hear ya

but even Crosby misses FG’s, like the game against Minnesota. Folk hasn’t missed yet when the game has been on the line. He missed the early one if ARIZONA, true, but he nailed the one to get us to overtime.

I would love it if he could boom them to the back of the endzone too, but I just have so many bad memories of the bad kickers over the years that Folk gets much love from me.

Half down stats

first downs: 9-7
3rd down efficiency: 50% to 28%
total yards: 193 to 106
average gain per offensive play: 6.9 to 3.8
Romo 14/18/142/0/2, and those 2 are the difference
Campbell: 9/15/64/1/0
Sacks: 2 for 18, 0 for them

If we can keep up these stats and just avoid the turnovers (and get it together on ST), we’re going to run away with this in the second half…

by scottmaui on Nov 16, 2008 8:56 PM CST reply actions   0 recs
