Newman missing practice today
Apparently, T-New was missing during today's practice.
We spotted Terence Newman at Valley Ranch before practice, but the Pro Bowl cornerback wasn't on the field during the portion open to the media. Newman, of course, shut down Santana Moss in his return from sports hernia surgery last Sunday. Head coach Wade Phillips made no mention of Newman in his pre-practice press conference. Newman has practiced with full participation all week. We'll get an update on the reason for his absence soon.Any idea as to what might be the reason why T-New is missing from action today? They just reported that t-new has yet another groin injury. Not associated with original injury that held him out. Said he may or may not play this week.

The headline at the link says he misses practice with a “slight groin pull”. Sigh. Man, this guy cannot stay healthy!!!!

Every time we start to put it back together, bad news starts coming in. Austin Miles. Felix Jones. Terrence Newman. This is the most bizarre year ever.

Terence Newman did not practice Friday because of a groin injury suffered in Thursday’s practice, but owner and general manager Jerry Jones said it did not involve the surgery Newman had last month that knocked him out for six games.
But Jones was not sure Newman would be able to play Sunday against San Francisco. Newman did not comment Friday.
“He’s working through that and we didn’t want him to push off on it,” Jones said.
Newman shut down Santana Moss last week in Washington and his absence would hurt a defense that was gaining confidence in his return.
“I think when he’s in there and can play well, like he did the other day as opposed to when he’s limited, then it’s a big impact,” Jones said.

Romo, MBIII, RW2 and the Rookies should shine
Let’s believe for a second that everything happens for a reason and for a good reason. It is not the time for Romo, MBIII, RW2 and the Rookies to shine and show what they got. If we make playoffs and win the championship, man would it be written in history books for years to come :-)

Correction!
I meant to say “It’s now the time for Romo……”

Snakebit
I’m afraid to check the teams status day to day. First Austin’s injury from out of left field, then Felix is coming back…wait, nope he’s done for the season, now T-New is injured during a Thurs practice. Unbelievable week.

at least this came at a good time
let him heal up for the December stretch, the rooks can certainly handle the passing game of SF and Seattle.

I want to agree
But Shaun Hill has been getting done.. T-New is turning in to a china doll. I love Newman, but he is always hurt now.

pfft
like they did vs the Rams? I actually have some confidence in the rookies, it’s Wade’s willingness to let them play man to man that I doubt.

at least he stayed healthy..

Thank god
He was healthy for his 4 week stint in alcohol rehab.

This is the reason why he is back
Newman can’t be trusted to stay healthy.

Latest update from Spags
While the Cowboys said they held cornerback Terence Newman out of Friday’s practice for precautionary purposes because of yet another groin problem, they are listing him as "questionable" for Sunday’s noon game against the San Francisco 49ers.
That means the Cowboys don’t consider him any better than 50-50 to play on Sunday, just one week after returning from that five-game absence caused by surgery to repair a sports hernia. Evidently this groin strain is a different muscle than what doctors repaired on Oct. 10.
“He’s working through that and we didn’t want him to push off on it (Friday),” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Friday after practice. And when asked if he thought Newman would play on Sunday, Jones said, “Yeah, but I don’t know that. But I think he ought to.”
Sounds as if Newman will be a game-time decision.

If that's what the Cowboys are saying,
I expect him to go on IR soon.

Newman needs yoga.
Or a new set of groins.
George Teague did it all.

The boy's are done
I just have that feeling about this year. I fully expect someone else very key to go down w/ an injury this weekend and be out for the year.
Newman played so well last week and was so key to the defense’s success against Washington. They will not win a championship w/ out him. The Defense becomes very bad when they adjust their coverages in his absence.
