Steelers vs. Redskins.

Go Pittsburgh, we could certainly use some help. If Dallas can't win, having the Redskins lose always makes me feel a little better. Plus, every game is important now for a playoff run, so come on Steelers!

Open thread for the game and Cowboys chat.

I feel dirty saying this, but...

GO STEELERS!!! Beat up the Skins, literally and on the scoreboard.

The team needs any

help it can get, so go stillers. I think the difference in this game for the steelers than the one against the gints is that they might have parker back and that other WR that they suspended for a game. So hopefully they beat up on the skins and they drop two in a row.

to think if the Redskins lose tonight

and we beat them in 2 weeks, we go from last to 2nd in the division.

Congrats Go To

Mike Jenkins, for making the “C’mon Man” segment of ESPN’s pregame show. It was on Brandon Jacob’s late TD run, and Jenkins did nothing more than stand there and let Jacobs run right by him. He quit. Back in my day, ‘quit’ was about the worst thing that could be said about you. You just never quit. But Jenkins quit, and that is something I will never forget.

I am suprised,

they did not manage to try to get the usual TO is a bad teammate angle they love to push.

if the Steelers can hold them to 2 FGs

we sure as hell can hold them under 24 points and our offense will be re-energized with Romo.

I really like our chances in 2 weeks

In Romo we Trust

by Terry on Nov 3, 2008 10:31 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Our D will need a bye every other week if they're on the field as much as they were yesterday.

They could be flying around all fast like the Steelers, except D.Ware would have 5 of 7 sacks.

Where's Felix?

by Aaron Novinger on Nov 3, 2008 10:38 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

The cowboys D coaches should be watching film of this game

and mirror the steelers defensive approach against the skins in two weeks.

by canty99 on Nov 3, 2008 11:07 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

that's makes me feel a bit better

the skins looked like the cowboys.

but will be a tough game against the steelers in a few weeks…

by scottmaui on Nov 3, 2008 11:27 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

I think by the time we play the steelers

our air attack will be better, and Pittsburgh matches up really well against the Redskins. Since the Skins are more run oriented and the Steelers have a really good run D.

by quincyyyyy on Nov 3, 2008 11:30 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

yeah

and the steelers have looked pretty uneven this season, but it still could be a tough game.

by scottmaui on Nov 3, 2008 11:37 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

yeah, Roethlisberger should be on IR by then

with as much punishment he takes every week

this may have been said already

as i have not been able to read every post in this thread.. but did you see how capeable Leftwich was and how the team did not miss a beat when Ben went down..

THAT is a well coached team…

by stephena on Nov 4, 2008 9:04 AM CST reply actions   0 recs

Leftwich is a decent backup

he’s still relatively young with a live arm. The only thing the Steelers really miss when he goes in the game is Roethlisberger’s mobility.

In Romo we Trust

by Terry on Nov 4, 2008 9:21 AM CST up reply actions   0 recs

hmph

the Steelers stopped the skins because they played aggresive coverage and went after the QB with stunt and LB blitzes, we will sit back in a soft zone, allow JC to have a nice comfortable pocket, dink and dunk us to death. the staff is horrendous.
