Dallas Cowboys news & notes
I plan to get to the Film Review later today and hopefully have it posted tonight or tomorrow morning. I also plan to write up my prescription for what ails the Dallas Cowboys. But right now, I need to eat and do some things after standing in line for over two hours this morning doing my civic duty and voting.
Here are a few articles to read in the meantime.
Todd Archer gives a general review on what's going on with the Cowboys.
This article begs the question of who are the leaders on this team.
Mac Engel also chimes in with a general review.
The Cowboys are soft and the biggest disappointment so far according to this scribe.
Wade Phillips, eternal optimist.

You go now!
I am on my way to vote after work as well Grizz. Just hoping that Jerry was able to put "Should Wade Keep His Job " on the ballet. That would be sweet….
This is going to be a long bye week folks. Hang in there!
I wrote in Bill Cowher for President
not really but he’ll definitely be on my wish list this off season
Anyhow I think we’ll all see a different team after the bye week now that the media has basically written us off.
its probably what this team needs
everyone and their brother, even their own fans, writing them off.
However, just like it was too soon to crown them champs in Septmeber, its definitely too soon to predict their demise.
The Skins game, not the Giants game, will be the defining moment for this team.
In Romo we Trust
Our different our team would be..
If Brooks would have started vs STL we win that game, we beat TB, and he is in his 3rd start vs NYG..
Our season is different..

I think so too
At a minimum they wouldn’t be feeling as pitiful as they do now because I think he would have given them some llife in those games.
Why it took all pre-season, season, then three games starting to figure out what Grizz told us last summer – that Brad didn’t have it any more – I will never understand. But it’ is exactly that unwillingness to make changes that has plagued this coaching staff for the past two seasons.

+1
“unwillingness to make changes” says it all about the coaching staff.
George Teague did it all.

where are all those guys who were talking about an undefeated season?
i don’t ever hear anyone claiming credit for those wild predictions…
Im not one of those guys.
Im the guy who said that there would be turmoil, and we would win 10 or 11 games getting hot down the stretch.
Im still rollin wit that.

What's lame about those predictions is that
we all know that the Cowboys did much this offseason to better their roster
BUT
every team does that in the offseason.
George Teague did it all.

Not surprisingly, I did NOT vote
for Wade Phillips, but if you hear about Romo being a write-in in Virginia…

I dont want DeAngelo Hall. (overrated)

Damn, how can you fall that far that fast.

I knew he was overrated
T.O. really abused him every time we played the Falcons, it was embarassing for him.
In Romo we Trust
Plus
He’s such a biatch. Couldn’t even make it in Oakland.
To think that he got a $10mil a year contract. Who’s lamer—him or the Raiders?
George Teague did it all.

Easy
He ate the cheese
He got full of himself
He landed a huge deal
He sloughed off on the conditioning aspect of the game
Did anyone see how rookie (and fellow VT alum) Eddie Royal abused Hall on national television in week 1?
It was all downhill from there.
Getting torched by the young Denver wideout was an extension of DeAngelo’s poor off-season work habits…

He's still overrated.
But in his defense, it’s gotta be tough to get up every week when you play for the Raiders.
I pray for JaMarcus Russell everyday (McFadden too) that he finds a way out of Oakland before his career is ruined.
No one has a chance to succeed there.
