Barber and Ware 'day to day', Adam Jones returns to practice
IRVING, Texas -- Dallas linebacker DeMarcus Ware and running back Marion Barber were not at practice Monday, the first time the Cowboys were back on the field since both were hurt Thanksgiving Day.
Coach Wade Phillips said both were "day to day." Ware, the NFL sacks leader, has a hyperextended left knee and Barber has a dislocated right pinkie toe.
"We'll see how they are," Phillips said before the early portion of practice open to reporters.
MRI tests Friday revealed no significant damage for Ware and Barber. Both got hurt in the Cowboys' 34-9 victory over Seattle. Phillips expects Ware to practice this week, but was less certain about Barber.

I'd be absolutely shocked and stunned
not to see MB3 in the starting lineup against the Stillers.

+1
They are just resting him as much as possible, but I expect MB3 to be ready for the game. He’ll probably split carries with TChoice 50/50.

I expect it to be more than that
For one reason: Pass protection. Barber’s solidly above average in that respect while Choice is, as mucha s I hate to say it-clueless right now. Against the Steelers’ ferocious attack, we need Barber back there more often than not.

Good point
I know he’s a rookie, but I have the feeling Choice will be able to handle pass protection better than most rookies.
But I agree MB3 is still better at it.

I disagree
I watched Choice very close against Seattle on passing downs. He actually did pretty well, far from clueless. I’m sure he doesn’t do it as well as Barber but that doesn’t mean he can’t be competent.

Adam "Bratman" Jones is on his own!
Who cares! If he acts like a adult he can play games. If he acts like a thug he can pound rocks or work at Micky D’s.

How's Cricket with pass blocking?
Obviously, he’s a fullback so he can throw his body around. I think with MB3 sore, we’ll probably see him in the backfield a little bit more, right?
