Nick Eatman takes Ed Werder to school
Here is the audio of Eatman talking about it.
WERDER, EATMAN EXCHANGE PLEASANTRIES
Posted by Mike Florio on October 2, 2008, 5:39 p.m. EDTThere was a verbal rumble of sorts at Valley Ranch on Thursday. Though it wasn’t quite as compelling as Herrera-Kawakami I, things got heated between ESPN’s Ed Werder and Nick Eatman of DallasCowboys.com.
As we understand it, the problem arose from Terrell Owens’ post-game comments from the team’s Week Four loss to the Redskins. Eatman wrote an item for the Cowboys’ official web site knocking ESPN and other national media outlets for making a big deal out of T.O.’s desire to get his hands on the ball.
In the column, Eatman suggested that the question prompting the T.O. sound bite that then prompted a Monday Night Countdown free-for-all on Owens was aimed at baiting him into saying something controversial.
As we understand it, Eatman didn’t realize that Werder had asked the question.
On Thursday, Werder told Eatman that Werder had asked the question, um, in question.
Per a source with knowledge of the exchange, they debated whether the question was aimed at getting a response from Owens that then could be used as proof of a problem in Dallas. As they talked, things started to get a little heated. Eventually, Werder walked away. While doing so, he made a comment regarding Eatman’s overall credibility, given that he writes for a team-owned publication.
Eatman responded by suggesting that ESPN specifically tries to get its reporters to stir things up. And there might have been an “F” bomb or two added to the message.
Werder returned, and the two continued to jaw for a bit. Though it never got physical, others eventually stepped in to ensure that it didn’t.

If Eatman and Werder got in a fist fight I would totally put my money on Eatman.
I have a whole new respect for Eatman. I'm sick of ESPN trying to cause trouble in our locker room. They need to just report the news and not make the news.

I agree with this sentiment
ESPN needs to get it’s nose out of the business of the teams and just report. I would pay to see Werder punched in the face though.

Believe me...IF I lived in Dallas...You WOULD SEE Werner get knocked the f*ck OUT !!!
I can’t stand the rat lookin’ weasel………..ESPN is so pathetic….I went five days after that devastating to Pitts with no media, no BSPN, no BTB, no nothing…trying to remove the nasty stain imprinted on my brain, and the undescribable pain that loss brought me…As that loss to Pittsburgh was by far the most painful defeat i’ve experienced in my 30+ years of following the Cowboys..
NOW I decide to peek in and see what’s been going on, and go forward with the notion that we are still very much in the playoff hunt, and I get THIS nonsense about a team rift…by none other than Werner….He sickens me…ESPN is the farthest thing from credible journalist…..a bunch of hacks, and dumb jocks….Jerry MUST ban him from Valley Ranch…….you report the news, you don’t make the news…

The problem with
ESPN is they have all ex-NFL’ers.
Tom Jackson and Ditka are the only 2 commentators that have a clue.
Young hate the boys because he only beat them once in the playoffs referee assisted
Keyshawn hates them becasue they dropped his ass
Cris carter still thinks he plays for Buddy Ryan and hates the Cowboys.
All past players who had theie asses handed to them by the Boys now hate them.
Chris Berman is the worst. SF homer all the way.

"I'm in your head, Werder..."
“…how does that happen? You’re an experienced journalist.”
LMAO!!!
Priceless clip. I love it.
What goes around comes around. If Terder wants to continue stirring da $#!+… it’s just a matter of time before it flies back in his direction – HA! HA! HA!

This story is from PFT aswell as the "Witten is a Rat" story
Why do some people say that PFT is not credible when discussing Witten, but immediately beleive this?

Nick Eatman is my new hero
Eatman is not a shill, unlike punk Werder.
I’m not saying Eatman is perfect, or he’s not leaned-on to write pro-Cowboys stuff for .com, but Werder and ESPN are jerks and jokes, and their bias is ridiculous, especially against the ’Boys.
Eatman: Terrific job. We definitely have your back on this one!
thumbs up
