Turn OFF ESPN!
No seriously, just turn it off for the rest of the season whenever a discussion of the Boys comes on. Just turn it off. You're only missing a heartache. Don't watch Skippy Boy or read Slick Eddie. Just ignore the four letter network. For your own sanity. And frankly, for the sanity of this blog. Don't give them the ratings or the website hits. Deprive them of their livelihood. They don't deserve the attention of intelligent fans.
If they start being fair and balanced with their reporting, then we can tune back in. I'm not holding my breath.
You'll thank yourself, ease a lot of unnecessary stress, and we'll thank you as well from those of us who already follow this policy.

the problem with this
is that we’re just a hated team
granted bspn is at the top of the list of networks that hate us
but we’re not favored by any major sports channel
so u might as well turn everything off
jamie dukes on nfl network seems to like the cowboys and jimmy johnson on fox takes our side every once in a while
i dont watch espn very much cuz i dont watch tv very much but i just like seeing them hate us cuz when we win they cant say much

Wouldn't that make them both wildly entertaning and stingingly accurate?

I kinda do that already, esp when the turder story came out. I know it will kinda die down if they won
but I avoid BSPN completely, but I can turn over to BSPN news to get some non-cowboys info.

First take is good.
Everyone takes turns going after Skip. Who needs coffee in the morning when you have Skip?

hate ESPN
but i love me some MSNBC.
ESPN hates the Cowboys, the Big 12, kittens, puppies, the Cowboys again, most other teams that aren’t on the east coast, truth, ice cream, Jesus, and cake.
they’re like Fox News.

When you say east coast you mean northeast right. I’m an Atlanta Braves baseball fan and they only show highlights of Braves games when they lose. If it isn’t New York or Boston it isn’t news according to them.

Who cares whats ESPN?
If you dont want to dont watch. Its as simple as that. If you dont like the opinions, ignore them. I guess my question isn’t so much who cares, but why does everyone care?

amen my brother
ESPN is not worth our time and we should let them know as Cowboys fans.

Boycott
Cowboys fans should boycott ESPN until Werder is either fired or removed from Cowboys coverage.

Thoughts on ESPN and Publicity
I just chuckle whenever the ESPN talking heads start in on the Cowboys. Seriously, anyone who takes it with more than a grain of salt is just getting all worked up over nothing. You can’t control it, you know it’s driven by ratings and not the truth, so why let it bother you?
Jerry Jones subscribes to the Madonna-perfected philosophy of media attention: There Is No Such Thing As Bad Publicity! As long as he is running the team, there is going to be controversy and attention because he believes all media attention, both good and bad, is a big positive for building the Cowboys brand. Jerry loves ESPN attention – nothing like free international exposure!
Personally, I’ll take all this attention (positive and negative) over being 5-11 and banished to the obscure corner of NFL irrelevancy for three straight seasons! Enjoy the ride boys (and girls) and don’t get to worked up over ESPN. They’re not worth it.

Exactly, no one cares about a lousy, insiginificant team
plus, the Cowboys are on of the few teams, along with the Raiders, Steelers and Dolphins, that have a national following

it is amazing to me how much the media hates dallas
on peter kings MMQB he barely mentions the Dallas/NY game, only a brief blurb where he makes injury excuses for NY and then gives some props to Ware.
no mention that Romo, a QB they lambast for sucking in december thuroghly outplayed Eli Manning who they go ga ga over if he throws for even 200 yards in a game.
the ESPN pregame show was practically giddy yesterday att he thought of NY demolishing Dallas, can’t wait to see what tehy say about it tonight.

honestly
It is the same ink New York got last year. We were the golden child and they were the step child. The roles are reversed, so I’ll take it.. We are going to have to take our respect.

In King's defense, it was the late game, so he had probably written most of the column by that time
I can’t believe I am defending Peter King. I have to call him Fatty McButterpants just to restore equilibrium to the universe

The Cowboys don't need ESPN's respect........
I don’t even care if they aren’t Cowboys fans. And I don’t even care if they don’t change. I just won’t watch because of the obvious bias. If their issues were related to actual football and not personal bias, I would care less. Whatever. I’m not watching anymore. Especially that joke on Sunday morning, Countdown. This and Berman, yikes, enough with that guy already.
Again, Thank God for the NFL Network’s and FOX’s and their pre and post game shows. Their opinions for and against the Cowboys are not based on personal bias. (Keyshawn)
And now with the MLB Network starting up in Jan. 2009, that’s even more ESPN I won’t be watching.

NFL Network is coming to my house at the end of the month
i’ll still have to head out to see the Baltimore game this week, but ATT Uverse is on its way. that’s just something else to keep me smiling for a while.
i don’t watch MLB or NBA until playoffs.
i don’t watch NCAA basketball until March
i watch some NCAA football
but the NFL (specifically the Cowboys) is what i watch, so yeah, i’m pumped
I commented. You're welcome.

Fox Sports Southwest
is the place to be for cowboys fans, with at least 2 pro cowboy programs, one with Rocket and Nate who are both very pro cowboys homers and the other show with the guy who interviews the boys at a dallas bar, can’t think of his name, as for ESPN i have always disliked most of the crew, one i did like was baseball guy Harold Reynolds and they sent him packing, so i rarely watch ESPN these days. i really cannot stand the Gay guy named skip who hates the boys and all things Texas, he has hated Texas since he left the state a few years ago.
