Who is the Rat?
After reading this post by Barry Horn I'm not so sure Jason Witten was in fact the "rat."
Werder thinks what T.O. really wants is to know who Werder's sources are. "I think that's his frustration in all of this. He wants to know who in the locker room I talked to who obviously doesn't respect him and I won't ever tell him that."
http://sportsmediablog.dallasnews.com/archives/2008/12/to-talked-to-nbc-ed-werder-tal.html
Which begs the question:

Who cares?
The only reason any of this stuff is news is because its the Cowboys. It’s rediculous that all this has been blown up like it is. The Cowboys won, they won decisively, and as long as that is happening I don’t care what happens elsewhere.

man, you beat a dead horse
It clearly wasn’t Witten because if you even listened to the interview last night, Witten said, I dont know why I was brought into all this. And isn’t it funny that neither Witten or Romo backed T.O on the his accusations that Werder is a liar and that the story was false. Neither one…..

Well I'm not so sure he is now
but I think you are being a tad naive to take Witten at his word.

but the knowing grin on both their faces was telling
it appeared to me that they were a little caught off guard by his blunt statement against Werder, but I didn’t get the impression that they disagreed at all.
I commented. You're welcome.

romo made a great point last night in his press conference.
The game is played on the football field, for three hours a week. The rest of the time it’s build for what is going to come. Whatever was said, or not said, does not affect what happens on the field if everyone just does their job.
The one thing to love about Romo is he is unfazed by any of this. If the receiver is open, he’s throws it that way. With the way the Giants were pass rushing last night, Romo didn’t have a lot of time to get the ball to the outside, so he relied on the interior routes. You notice that’s where T.O’s catches came as well.
No matter what happened last week, it get blown out of proportion. Sure, something happened but the great thing about it is that T.O. is doing his best not to spill it into the public, something he didn’t do in Philly or San Fran. I just think T.O wants to win, and I love that about the guy. I also love the same qualities in Romo and Witten.
I don’t know. It’s like being in the military. You may not like the guy next to you, or get along with him, but when the Sh*t hits the fan you have each other’s back no matter what. No comparing football to war, but its almost the same mentality. these guys may have had a little tiff, but on Sunday they are teammates and will do whatever it takes to win.
And there is NO WAY Witten was the guy who went to Werder.

I think Madden made a good comment last night...
when he said the difference between TO now and when he was in Philly and San Fran is that he wanted out of those teams while he wants to stay here. Thats why he hasnt caused a distraction this year or last.

I honestly just don't care though.
It’s the same reason I don’t read Star magazine. I could give a rat’s fart what movie star do or date in their spare time when not making movies. The only time I get concerned is when it’s something illegal or detrimental.
In the course of a long season, especially one this intense and stressful, guys are going to get chippy. So what? I also don’t think the receivers going to Garrett was a big deal, it’s just something they wanted to do to help improve the offense. And you know what? I think Romo had gotten a bit of tunnel vision towards Witten and that cost us against the Steelers; they knew where the ball was going.
The only reason these things are out is because someone ratted, embellished a bit and that sucks. I also think it helped rally the team. Now I just want to move forward.

During the Norv Turner Years
Emmitt and some o-linemen approached Norv on several occasions and asked him to get #22 the pill. Luckily, Norv was a good listener.

It looks like other people don't trust Brad Johnson
me either. He seemed very aloof when he came to this team. Would not surprise me one bit if he was stabbing this team in the back.

Who ever said the source is the Jaintor, I think is dead on..
Another question. How do they know that Jerry Jones told JG to design more plays for other players? Seems like a pretty simple A and B converstation, how does that get out?

I don't think any of this stuff matters anymore
because we’re not going to lose another game this season, but if I had to guess, I’d say Crayton just going by his past behavior ie always spouting off to the media.
No way Witten said anything, its not his style.

Don't try to make me choose
between Witten and TO because it is not even close. Witten in a landslide. Who makes the clutch catches to win games and move chains and who drops wide open passes?

Who draws double teams so that Witten isn't doubled
And can make those catches.
It works both ways. They are equally valuable.

You better pick a different team then
Because do you seriously think there would be no controversy/negativity on this team if T.O. was playing somewhere else?

TO is not the cowboys
when all is said and done he will be a blip on the radar of this proud franchise. So thanks for the advice but you can keep it.

absolutely
As long as Jerry Jones is running the team, which will be a long time, there will always be controversy surrounding the Cowboys.
Jerry loves any kind of publicity surrounding the team, good or bad, he doesn’t care, all he cares about is winning and having the Cowboys as the most recognizable and talked about sports franchise in the world.

I voted Brad Johnson because he’s the funniest of the group. Imagine him secretly texting from the back of the locker room….and try not to smile as he stumbles over the predictive text feature of his phone.
Seriously, who cares…pointless post.

I think it is a no name player...
It could be Tony Curtis or even Alonzo Coleman. Who knows? Who cares?
The point is that there IS a leak and Wade needs to address that.

would you possibly keep this up? Wasn’t last week bad enough? It’s bad enough that ESPN won’t stop talking about it. Why can’t we get away from it here either?
